The location was convenient, but the leaking toilet and inconsistent hot water brought the quality down for me. The staff was helpful, but sometimes it took them awhile to answer the front door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to TerminiTrain Station and Metro"
Main reason I stayed in this hotel is its convenient location, the Vittorio Emanuele Metro Station is just a 100 yards from the hotel entrance and 1 Metro station ride form Termini train station. The hotel itself has a relatively modern/new interior, but could still use some maintenance. The faucet in the bathroom sink was loose, the water only drained […] very slowly (clogged sink). The shower enclosure did not seal properly, with the result that part of the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower. Bathroom also had sewer smell, which the hotel tried to cover up with an air freshener. Probably a missing Plumber's U that prevents sewer gases from coming back up the pipe. Otherwise the room was clean and in good condition. Neighborhood is multi-cultural, right around the corner is a cafe, a fastfood joint (Kathmandu, serves Kebab, Indian curry, Chinese Chow Mein) and a Italian Pizzeria/Ristorante. All of those serve good quality food at way better prices than what you pay in the city close to tourist spots. There is also a little supermarket right around the corner where you can get beverages at very reasonable prices. So the location is excellent as a basis for visiting Rome, the hotel itself average.
I had problems with the reservations made for a bed and breakfast , however the owner accomodated us ( 3) at the Rome Love hotel. It was very comfortable and clean. The area iis close to Termini so you must be careful and use wisdom. We did not have any problems and were able to move easily to all our tours. Definetely will recommend ! The employees were very helpful.
"Nice clean hotel"

This hotel is very close to theTermini and the colosseum. Very connivence to traveler who like to take the train. The staff are very friendly and helpful in letting you know where to go and direction to local tourist attraction.
Good hotel, next to metro stop. Within walking distance to coliseum. We arrived several hours before check in because of an over night flight and they only needed an hour to have to room ready, still 2.5 hours ahead of time. Good service.
"Simply loved it,will definitely stay again ^-^"

Very neat and clean hotel. Everything work perfectly. The lady in the reception is very very friendly and so sweet. The best part is location, most of the attractions are in walking distance and the metro stop is just in front of the hotel. I Would definitely recommend this hotel. Had a lovely stay and will stay again. Just loved it.
"Very good for a 1star !"
Was very happy with this hotel, very clean and great location! you do have to pay tax of about £12 when you arrive, but i think this applies to all hotels in Rome and i believe it is city tax! :( ! you get breakfast tokens given to each morning that you take down to the café which was also good for a nice coffee, you do get a a cake of choice and yoghurt :) but then again its Italia , good coffee is expected :p Location is great, most attractions are within walking distance, did a lot of walking when was at hotel Rome love. Would def recommend this hotel to my friends and family, so would go back myself, which is always a good sign. please do not be put off by poor reviews, you get what you pay for, after all you are not paying for a five star hotel! :) great place for a nice city break in rome :)

Hotel pleasantly surprised. Hotel reception is on the second floor. To get inside you need to call at the door, because there are also companies and apartments in this building. The hotel is next to Chinatown. This hotel is run by the Chinese. pros - Very clean and neatly-kept rooms. In bathroom everything worked perfectly. Responsive staff. The hotel is located directly at the metro stop. A couple of minutes away from the attractions. There are several grocery stores near hotel! cons - difficult to find cons, taking into account the fact that you know where you are driving. Maybe only to mention the elevator, which often did not work because some one, left the door of elevator open.
"More Rome, less Love"

Hi to all, I booked the Portafortuna B&B, but when we got there they said an error occured and they would like to offer us a "better" accomodation in the Rome Love B&B (I guess in property of the same chinese family) for the same price. So we went on to stay in the Rome Love B&B for 4 nights. Location: The B&B is situated quite central at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II: to get to the Colosseum it is a walk of 15 minutes, you get to the white Mausoleum of Vittorio Emanuele in 20 minutes of walk from the B&B. So the location is situated very well, although you are in the chinese hood (distnace to the train station Roma Termini is less than 10 minutes of walk). The B&B: The room was okay, not more, not less. The only window of the room did not close properly, so it was quite noisy in the morning. The bed was okay, the bathroom too. The breakfast: This was a negative surprise: there is no room for the breakfast, instead you get two tickets for a little snack bar with just two tables in it down the street. So we went there, had no place to sit, and in return of the tickets each of us got :1 coffe, 1 brioche, 1 little yoghurt, 1 little juice. If you want more, you have to pay. So, this is a very poor breakfast for the price you pay the B&B! Service: Was okay, all workers are chinese and speak a bit of english. Since you don't get a key for the main entrance, you always have to ring the bell in order to get it. It happened a couple of times that you have to ring three or four times before the door opens.

You may tend to get put off by the cheesy name, but look beyond that, and further than the rather forbidding entrance, and Hotel Rome Love actually surprises you for all the good reasons. The rooms are clean, spacious, awesome Wi-Fi and not very expensive. The location is great, just next to the main train terminus, has a street market during weekends (comprising a LOT of Bangladeshi goods, but then, that's the case across Italy), and a number of food joints and shops around. (But stay away from any food joint that's not Italian!) One has to pay in full in advance, but the owners are nice and quite helpful.

The thing is that we did not book this hotel. But due to renovationworks in the hotel we did book for our weekendtrip, we ended up in this hotel. And it was a surprise. It is situated in a croudy street. But, to be honest, we love that. Streetrumour in a big city, we think it is fantastic. The room was really good, but the shower looked old. The bed was good. The staff, completely Chinese!!, was very, very friendly. But the great surprise was the included breakfast. You see, breakfast is served in a snackbar on the other side of a small street. A small snackbar. You get a croissant, coffee, orange juice and a yoghurt. And that is it. Not an extra coffee, no, just one. But this put a smile on our face. We sat there like real Italians, between real Italians. Perfect. You see, it is an one star hotel, but it is surprisinly good. Really. And of course, you must try the breakfast. Feel an Italian between the Italians.
We had a great experience at this nice and cozy hotel. Its not the easiest hotel to find, but just look up in Google Maps and it becomes and easy task. We loved pretty much everything about our stay... The building is located near a station and a couple of blocks from Termini Station... Besides, in a 15 minute walk you can get to the colosseum and ancient Rome ruins... Really good... Inside the building there is a nice old style elevator (which is new) hehe... The hotel is run by chinese people and they r very receptive and helpfull... The room was very nice, clean, warm and you notice the owners care about keeping the rooms in great condition... The only thing you should pay attention before booking is that when you check in you must pay your stay in advance, but considering the quality of this hotel, thats ok... When i come back to Rome, i'll definitely consider staying there again...
