I stayed here 3 years ago and loved it so much I fought to stay here this time...I should not have bothered. The location is stunning and the resort is beautiful beyond your dreams and it has it's own private beach which you can just walk onto BUT the service of the staff is poor and inconsistent. They seem less professional than other similar resorts […] and almost seem not to care. You never know what you will get at every turn with the food, the room cleaning, the reception staff etc...they need to go back to square one and train the staff. Read more

Bethsaida Hermitage is a wonderful place for holiday. The rooms are very big with sea view and the lawn in front of room gives a relaxed and pleasant moment. A/C rooms vastly better than non A/C. This is seen by many as a spa hotel with people going there specifically for treatments. All guests when we were there were European, so the buffet food was a milder version of Keralan food. Beer was available on request with meals and wine some days only

Eine superschöne Anlage, die Zimmer sind riesig und der Region entsprechen eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer hatte eine Terasse mit Blick in den Palmengarten und aufs Meer und wir hatten eine eigene Hängematte. Die zwei Hotelstrände sind schön klein und sauber und nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Die Anlage liegt am Hang, ist umgeben von Palmen und sehr gepflegt. […] Man kann hier auch Ayurveda-Kuren buchen und es gibt tägliche Yoga- Kurse. Man sollte sich allerdings bewußt sein, dass die Anlage ca. 5 Km von Kovalam entfernt ist und es im direkten Hotelumfeld keine Infrastruktur gibt. Man muss also im Hotel essen oder ist auf ein Taxi oder eine Rikscha angewiesen, wenn man nach Kovalam möchte. Die Strände sind hier aber auf jeden Fall schöner und - zumindest in der Nebensaison - nicht so überfüllt. Das perfekte Hotel um einige Tage die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Read more

Vi har fått fel rum, men hotellets manager rättade till det och efter det var ALLT bara fantastisktt!!! Mycket trevlig personal, snabb service, jättebra behandlingar, yoga på stranden, god mat, Vackert, avkopplande. Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell och längtar redan tillbaka. Un peu excentrée de Kovalam, mais cela en vaut la peine car cadre exceptionnel, personnel professionnel et souriant...bref un petit moment de rêve pour clore nos vacances. Je dois dire que les couchers de soleil sur la mer vu depuis la piscine à l'eau tempéré c'est grandiose.
