I arrived in Sydney, Australia on a Sunday after a very long flight and suspected that I might have a big health problem due to the trip. The receptionist at the front desk was very caring and said she would try to find a doctor for me. She researched it on-line and found a medical clinic nearby but they had just closed (2pm on Sunday). So she left a message for the Monday morning desk receptionist to get an appointment for me. She did. I went to the clinic (within walking distance of the hotel.0 I spoke to a doctor who sent me for further tests and very fortunately, I was OK. The hotel staff was very caring and efficient. That was the first time in all my travels I've needed medical help and they were terrific!

The room was good !! We paid for a harbor view room and to say there was a view is a real reach. We were on the 10th floor of a 20 story building. There MAY have been some harbor views on higher floors but probable not. All-in-all it was a nice place and a good room in a great location.

Situated in the heart of Sydney, Sydney Backpackers is close to Sydney Town Hall, Darling Harbour, and Sydney Opera House. Also nearby are Sydney Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay.

In addition to a rooftop terrace and a concierge desk, Sydney Backpackers features multilingual staff. This hostel was clean and better than most for toilets/showers but I was left a little disappointed. It is more expensive then similar hostels in the area, but I chose it because it was advertised as air conditioned with a TV and fridge in the room. All of this is true - however, the air conditioning is only put on in 90 minute sections and only by […] request to reception. This means that after 11pm (when reception closes) no air conditioning! The refrigerator was also unplugged on arrival so no use for several hours. Having said that the cleanliness was of a high standard and facilities better than most (including a lift). All in all I'm not sure it was worth the extra $30 it cost me compared to the last hostel I stayed in, in Sydney (note - these were single rooms). Read more

the location is very near Town Hall Station, but the price is not includ breakfast, so it's not very cheap, but the enviroment is not too bad to stay for short trip.

施設の場所は最初、大通りに面していないので分かりにくかったが、立地条件としては、駅にも街にもフェリー乗り場にもそこそこ近いので、利用しやすかった。建物自体は、少し古いが、中は意外と綺麗だった。今回は女性１０人の部屋に宿泊したが、部屋自体が明るく、コンセントも人数分あるので不便することがなかった。ただ部屋では寝るだけと言う方にはお勧め。

安いのでこんなものかなという感想です。ベットが、少し動いただけでギシギシいうのはちょっと困りましたが、そのほかは泊まるだけが目的だったので、特に不自由は感じませんでした。友達と２人で行ったのですが、２人部屋だったので他の人はいなくて安心でした。

はじめ、ネットで男女共同の6人部屋を申込、当日受付で女性だけの部屋にも変更できるがどうしますかと聞いてくれて女性だけの6人部屋に変更してもらいました。働いているｽﾀｯﾌは韓国人の方が多い気がしました。部屋はバックパッカーにしてはめずらしく清潔で掃除が行き届いています。ベッド、カバー、シーツ申し分ないです。部屋に入る際、ドアのセンサーキーが少しコツが入る為（鍵をセンサーにあてた状態で、もう片方の手でドアノブを持ちドアを押す）、何人か戸惑っていました。貴重品ロッカーも部屋に人数分完備され、受付で南京錠も貸してくれサービスは行き届いていると思います。

長期滞在のサーファーが多いせいか、部屋の中は荷物が多く、掃除はされていますが、きれいだとは言い切れませんが、まぁこんなもんだろうという感じです。夜中までバルコニーで喋っている人たちがいて、すごくうるさかったので、神経質な人には辛いかも知れません。ただ、一階のバーは悪くなかったし、レセプションも悪くはないです。

場所が少し奥まった場所なので分かりにくいが、ホテルの快適さはいいと思います。受付も親切に対応して貰えたのでよかったです。チェックインが１５時からですが１時間前に行っても中に通して貰えました。現地の夏もエアコンも風も入ってきてとても快適に過ごせました。
