The hotel is pretty much as shown on pictures. Large lobby, a small restaurant with books/tv etc. Free wired internet in the rooms and free wifi in the lobby. Nice personel. We ordered a traditional chinese breakfast (not on the menu) consisting of kongee, spicy pickled cucumber, bums og bread for just a few RMB/person. The room appears clean, but after a 3 night stay I found someone elses prescription drugs on the floor between the bed and the window, so the room does not seem to be very thoroughly cleaned between each visitor. The location is close to the Wangfujing Street with all its crazy food and busy life. A great hotel and I would still stay there again

I always stay at Novotel Xin Qiao. With over 80 nights in the last two years I don't even consider other hotels in BJ. Great staff, perfect location, decent rates.

Free Airport pick up is awesome. Everything is brand new and clean. It's located out of nowhere and somewhat far away from the convention center. A nice hotel to stay for a layover.

The hotel room itself was fine, with clean sheets, a tile floor and sanitized slippers. Just about everything pleasant ended there, however. It is located in a hutong, a very traditional section of Beijing, which was quite charming. Taxis will not go into hutongs however because their alleys are very narrow, so be prepared to make a couple of turns […] and ask locals for reassuring points in the right direction when the taxi drops you off on a nearby main street. Likewise on the way out, the hotel won't call a cab for you so give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to go in case you have trouble flagging down a cab in the rain or rush hour. The bathroom left a lot to be desired, with a pour drainage and curtain system that inevitably soaked nearly the entire bathroom and toilet. The hotel would only give one room key, which is annoying if you travel with a partner but occasionally like to do independent activities, and during our six day stay twice the key stopped working and we had to go back down 4 flights of stairs to have it fixed. (No elevator) Not big deals in and of themselves, but the trip was filled with lots of little inconveniences such as these. We had major issues with washing clothes--don't even bother trying. Staff does not speak English, slow check-in and check-out. Plenty of nearby hotels with better prices. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
