I have enjoyed very much my stay in the hotel. The staff was polite and the room was clean. The hotel is close to the sea and to many restaurants.

A very nice hotel,with mover rooms,well decorated and well appointed bathrooms. The breakfast had a really good choice even though the hotel was practically empty. The spa facilities were excellent and free to residents.

Great as a base for staying in Marbella. We were room only, very comfortable clean and spacious. with local restaurants a plenty this suited us as there was plenty of choice for breakfast and lunch dinner close by.

We were disappointed with our stay at the Senator Marbella Spa hotel after reading all the great reviews it had received. We stayed for 3 nights and although the room was clean and the staff were friendly there was no roof top lounge etc. (if not offered in the winter this needs to be stated) . We paid a considerable amount of money for a room which […] saw the sun for about 20 minutes in the morning around 11pm so it was always cold in there. The breakfast was OK but the restaurant was cold and the lay out was very strange for example the cereals were on one side of the room and the milks were on the other side, also, there were potatoes, tortilla and grilled tomatoes sitting on what appeared to be a heated stone area but the food was not hot or even warm. In addition, there were no other food services offered except bar snacks, a little surprising for a hotel with 4 stars on a plaque. Certainly not terrible but the location was not close to the beach or restaurants. We would neither stay there again nor recommend this hotel for the money they were asking. Read more

Lovely hotel with an amazing spa with an excellent rooftop pool and loungers. Hotel was great but lack of information in English. Very polite and friendly staff who all speak English. Only negative thing is the walk into the centre of Marbella for shops and main restaurants which is about 10/15 mins (if you discover the short cut through the garden […] next to Don Pepe hotel). Nice for a romantic getaway - would stay here again. Recommend a walk down to the paseo maritino to see the sea. only 5 mins walk away. Don't really need a car. The hotel was fine apart from the issue that we'd booked a triple room and on arrival were presented with a room with two single beds. We were informed that there was no facility for an additional camp/sofa bed to be installed and that the two single beds were sufficient. Very good value hotel. Clean, modern, good quiet location, 3no supermarkets close by, helpful staff etc. My room had a TV, digital safe and and a fridge (both free, unlike some hotels), it was quiet, with little noise from other guests. The spa and the small gym (just a couple of gym bikes, crosstrainer and weights) were also free for hotel guests. […] There is a small bar area, but no entertainment which suits me, but would not suit those who don't want to leave the hotel for evening entertainment. There was a wide ranging breakfast menu to suit all tastes, the lifts were efficient and the rooftop pool with sunbeds and two jacuzzies gets the sun all day. The hotel is located about 300m from the beach and from there it's about 20/25mins stroll along the promenade to the marina and old town with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants along the way, which gives a bit of exercise in the evenings. I recently stayed at the hotel for a long weekend and really enjoyed it. The hotel staff were superb, always smiling and ready to help out. Our room was very clean with the basics you'd expect to find. Although the safe did not work in our room, staff were happy to move us as soon as we were ready. The rooftop pool is divine with a view of the mountain […] and sea which is well worth the view. We used the spa which was great although it could do with an update. The hotel is well placed. It is located close to a supermarket and the beach really is a 10 min walk away. Puerto Banus is a 45 min walk along the beach with a few bars en-route or you can take a 10 min taxi ride. The pool on the rooftop is a little gem and the 2 jacuzzi's and the view is lovely, we spent a lot of our time sunbathing on the roof and taking many dips in the pool or jacuzzi's and found the mornings up there were pretty quiet and getting busier from mid afternoon. Breakfast was nice and there is a guy who makes eggs and omelettes to order which […] are very nice, nice continental selection and juices, set us up nicely for the day. Our room was air conditioned and was great ( I read some reveiws that there are only ceiling fans,#. The view from the hotel window was not great as there was disused building next door but I spent very little time on the balcony and the beach is only a 5 minute walk away. The room was adequate, 2 queen size beds and little room to walk around them but again not spent much time in the room so did not bother us, the beds were comfortable, lots of hanging space for clothes and space to put cases out of sight, bathroom was a nice size and the shower nice and powerful. All in all a nice hotel, helpful staff, great breakfast, pool and rooftop #no bar so bring your own water etc) and great location, centre of Marbella about 15 min walk but lots of bars, restaurants to choose from along the way and a great restaurant nearby called "Cappucinno" is worth a visit. We paid 10 Euros for a taxi to Porto Baneus which was amazing and I would certainly reccommend a trip to the old town as it was the highlight of our trip Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the last 2 weeks of June. Beach towels are available for hire for a €10deposit; Q small but still handy. The roof pool was nice, though we found on some days children used the jacuzzis for swimming instead of the pool. Foodwise we found the hotel had only 3 items available from their lunch menu for at least 1 week […] of the holiday& they instead referred us to visit burger king across the road. Sightly annoying if you want to stay in the hotel for the day&chill out by the pool, but not too much of an issue otherwise as there are loads of places to eat around. Restaurants decorate the beach front, starting by the hotel. The port is 25 min walk&has various cocktail bars&watersports during the day. The hotel is a 25 minute walk away from marbella old town&35 mins from the marbella market (mondays). Puerto banus market-saturday. 4 supermarkets nearby&seemingly the only tobacco shop in marbella-if you smoke- cigarettes in gibraltar are nearly 1/2 the price. hotel is approx €7 taxi ride from the main bus station or a 20 minute walk down a hill (bus station-hotel). Advice: I recommend requesting a high up room to get a better view. Random, but id also recommend taking a toilet roll, as they only leave 1 in each room each day regardless of if its almost new or has about 6 sheets left! Overall, an enjoyable holiday and a nice place to stay, though if i was visiting again i would probably look for somewhere slightly closer to the old town. Read more

The room we were first given was not up to standards in terms of the view when we arrived. We instantly complained and got a wonderful view. The double bed is huge, which is great. The staff were great and quick to help throughout our 3 nights stay. We had some confusion with the ac, however I think the hotel should at least have a welcome pack and […] offer complimentary fruit or snacks, as for a 4 star I was quite surprised this was not available. Also no information in rooms about the numbers to call in the hotel. Breakfast was good, not a massive selection, however not bad. Great homemade tortilla by the chef! I would suggest they widen the selection to cappuccinos, other coffees and fresh juices all inclusive. The swimming pool was nice, however no towels were given for this? Shame there is no service up there in heat, we would loved a drink, however you have to keep leaving the pool for this. Good sized pool and area. Get there early! I have stayed here before which is why I returned - its still a great hotel but they messed up this time when I wanted to take my 11 year old son to the spa - before lunch i confirmed that we wanted to go to the spa which the hotel staff agreed was fine - after lunch when we tried to enter the staff told me that children were only allowed in the morning […] - great communication !!!!!
