"Pres de zone industrielle sans les derangements"
Parfait, excepté le manque de variété de restaurants. Seulement 2 pour un si grand complexe et trop éloigné de l'hôtel (dans le Club-house du golf). Endroit agreable meme si on n'est pas golfeur, car 2 magnifiques piscines (une couverte de 25m et 1 outdoor de 50m) et fitnessGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely overall package"

I'm probably the only person reviewing this hotel who's not a golfer, so hopefully I will be able to give more insight as to the overall outlook of the hotel, asides from golf facilities. Mission Hills Dongguan offers many facilities other than golf, though golf is still the main thing. There is a bicycle rental service which I tried out. The bikes are in good condition, though do remember to check the brakes and handlebars before you rent them out. You can point out minor problems to the staff and they will fix it for you quickly. There are different kinds of bicycles, the kind which is like a go-cart, tricycles, normal bikes etc. There is a designated area which is extremely tiny and lined with tyres, so it is ideal for small kids (really small kids, like age 6 or below) and a wooden-boarded path which is slightly longer. Half an hour is more than sufficient. Although the price is calculated per hour, you can bargain with the staff, e.g. originally you are paying for one bike for an hour, you can barter for two bikes for half an hour. The petting zoo is extremely small, but the path it is on is overall worth taking. The path includes the petting zoo and the organic farm, and passes through a small hill and a playground. Overall it should take around half an hour, and would make a good walk in the morning. There are pigs, pigeons, parrots, turtles, rabbits and even a goat in the petting zoo. The animals and the zoo are in good condition. The animals are clean and healthy, and the overall environment is good. The organic farm is tiny, and also some plants are incorrectly labelled. However, it will still make an interesting experience for young kids. The Eco-path is also worth taking. It is a paved path and so should not be too difficult. It does takes around two hours in total, but is very comfortable. There are "rest spots" available along the path. I only completed half of the path due to time constraint, but hopefully I will still be able to give some insight. The Goddess of Mercy Statue is exactly what its name is: a white marble statue of Guanyin. It is surprisingly clean and looks nice. There is also a bit of information on the goddess which non-Chinese visitors will find helpful. Along the path you will pass by some apartments and low-rise buildings, as well as golf greens (what do you call that?). There are plenty of scenic spots to take photos at. As for the trick-eye museum, it is very small but an interesting place to take photos at. It's clean, and the 3D illusions do indeed work. Taking photos there would take up around only fifteen minutes, so do drop by. I did visit the gym, and that was a pleasant experience. The gym is large and well equipped. There are coaches/trainers around to help and give advice. Machines are clean and in good condition. The locker room was also large and well equipped. PS: You have to get a locker key from the desk in the gym. The showers were well fitted with amenities, including basic beauty care products. There are many golfing stores in the resort, however as I am not a golfer I cannot tell whether the products are reasonably priced or of good quality. There is a Starbucks in the hotel. It is large and quiet, and not very frequented. As for food, I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, and that was probably the worst experience in the entire trip. Do remember to book in advance, or you will have to wait for a long time to get a table (I waited for an hour!). The restaurant was poorly managed; there were many empty tables but due to reservations (those people were WAY too late for the staff to hold up a table for them--it was 7:30 and their reservation was at 7) we were not allowed to go in. There were people jumping the queue by offering money to the staff (those people were most likely frequent guests at the hotel or even patrons). Communication between staff was poor. I had to wait for a few minutes before I gave up and grabbed a chair so I could sit down at my table, as we were missing two chairs. The staff also had to confirm with each other which dishes should be served to which tables. However, the food was good and worth the price. The set meals were more than enough for three people, which was the serving size. Food was fresh and delicious. The breakfast buffet was a totally different scenario. While there was also a lot of people, tables were far apart, giving me a comfortable "personal space bubble". Large tables seating up to 10 are available. There was a large variety of food and drinks. Chefs can also cook noodles, omelettes, crepes, etc for you upon request. Food was constantly refilled. Food was delicious and fresh, which I enjoyed. The staff at the resort are generally helpful. However, they are not very informed or well trained. If you have been to Club Med before, you will understand what I mean when I say "There is no question about the hotel they have no answer to." This needs improvement. The person directing traffic was not able to tell me where a certain path led, and he was also unable to give information about places mentioned not he road sign next to him. The only thing visitors could have asked him was for directions, and he could not give even that. Training needs to improve. I also viewed some property for sale. Surprisingly, the saleswoman was extremely polite, helpful and had an awesome attitude. She accompanied our party throughout and arranged golf carts for transportation. She entertained all of our questions and was honest about the faults of the property. There was also a souvenir after the tour. Overall the resort is large, spacious and clean. It is definitely not crowded; you won't be seeing a lot of people around. The rooms, even the smallest and cheapest kind, are large. The beds are however a bit on the small side, though still very comfortable. Each room has a large balcony with two armchairs and a small table. You have to pay extra for a lake view, though I do not think it is worth it. Both views are equally nice in my opinion, and since you won't be spending the day sitting in the balcony, your money would be better spent elsewhere. Rooms are just like what you would expect of a five-star hotel; well-equipped and clean. There are regular renovations and shuttle bus services, some of which cost some money. The grounds and facilities at the resort are good, but the "software"--the staff, still needs improvement. Travelled with family, Dec 2014.

Nine of us met in Hong Kong and then went to Mission Hills to play golf. The hotel here was one of the best I have stayed in.Excellent sized rooms with all requirements you need.Staff were fantastic if wanted to be critical English not being first langrage but this a very minor issue compared to everything else. All I can say if a golfer you wld think you are in heaven.
"Great stay in Golf paradise"
I have been here two times with a group of golf friends from Prague. If you want to have a perfect golf vocation, this is it! We played 10 different courses of total 12, both Shenzhen and Dongguan. All you can expect from golf experience in Asia, but in huge space, hundreds of caddies, all wery well organised. If you go out to the city, do not forget the take a name card of the hotel resort, or better a map, as taxi drivers from city usualy are not able to find a place easily... Will come back!

After an amazing stay in 2013 our Group returned to Mission Hiils Dongguan Hotel for another wonderful experience. We played 3 different courses and the facilities and luxury of the Dongguan Hotel were as enjoyable as we remembered and Brian Cheng & his team were outstanding. This year we travelled in November instead of October, and the difference a month makes was incredible with beautiful golf conditions and little or no humidity. A must do for golfers

I spent 5 nights at this unbelievable hotel and golf resort. The accommodation and staff were fantastic and I would be more than happy to return to this awesome hotel. The only thing I can pick on is the bar wasn't open long enough for us Australians who love a drink. The golf courses were world class with the Greg Norman and Jose Maria Olazabel courses my favorite. I hope I get the chance to return to this 'Golf Paradise' !!
"Fantastic Hotel and Golf"

Stayed here on a business trip and managed a couple of rounds of golf. This is the best hotel I have stayed at in main land China. The place is huge, but the staff and service are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble even if there is the occasional language barrier due to my lack of Mandarin. The rooms are large, modern, well equipped, and very clean. Room service is the quickest I have experienced anywhere in the world. There is a variety of food in the restaurants and bars all of which is pretty good. The gym, and spa are both excellent and there is a large outdoor pool. The golf is stunning with fabulous courses and excellent service. If you do struggle with Mandarin insist on an English speaking "gold" (experienced) caddie, it does make a huge difference. Some of the best and most expensive golf I have ever played. This is the second time I have stayed at this Hotel and there are a couple of issues. The wifi is very poor, even to the the point where downloading simple emails can be an issue. Not great if you are trying to work. Entertainment in the bar consists of the same two singers six nights a week. Too much and too loud I would suggest. A little of variety would be good.

I've recently returned from 9 nights at Mission Hills staying at the Dongguan Hotel and what an experience it was. The staff at the resort are unbelievably attentive and nothing it too much trouble. From check in, bars staff, pro shop to caddies they are wonderful. Naturally there is always going to be a language problem or two, but I found in a situation where they don't understand, they'd get someone who speaks English to assist. The rooms at this hotel are just beautiful. My room was just the basic Grande Deluxe room, and was huge. Fitting and facilities were first class with a beautiful king size bed and perfect pillows. If you don't get a good night sleep here, theres something wrong....with you! The buffet breakfast was ok, I've had better, but it had everything I needed and also catered for Eastern tastes as well. So no complaints. The other facilities such as the pool [50m], billiard rooms, gym [perfect and huge] practice facilities [expensive but very good], pro shop [more like a department store, but way over priced] were all great. The restaurants are over priced, and the food is unfortunately only average. We ate at the Chinese restaurant one night with a set menu, there were 16 of us, and we had to get them to bring more of each course as it was inadequate. The food was average, unlike the bill which was over A$100 per head including a couple of drinks. Another night we ate at the Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant with another set menu and a couple of drinks included, with a bill of over A$160 a head. Much too expensive for what we got. Its a pity this place is so remote otherwise it'd be recommending you eat elsewhere. Actually the food at the Mid Valley Club House is by far the best out of the 3 resort club houses. But I went there primarily for a golfing holiday with some mates, not to critique food. There are few words to describe this place adequately. Its unbelievably beautiful, when you see through the constant smog, with holes cut into thick natural vegetation to create some truly breathtaking holes. The courses are stunning. I played 9 of the 12 available and my only complaint was that the greens had recently been cored and sanded, which spoiled what potentially was a spectacular golfing trip. To say I loved it is a massive understatement. Just a pity about the greens. I'll be back some day for sure.

This is the greatest golf experience of my life! First hotel is absolutely great with wonderful rooms, pool, spa and all you can Immagine. Restaurants are great and staff very kind. The golf courses are great and you cannot ask more from kind of place like this .. Only one thing they must all improve English knowledge.
"Mission Hills the biggest golf resort in the world"
09/16/14 Ladytraveljournal Australind, Australia
I bought the Golfathon package for 10 games and 5 nights hotel package. Hence have the opportunity to play at Dongguan and Shenzhen Mission Hills resort to experience different courses within 5 months. My top 3 favourite course 1. Olazabal 2. Annika & 3. Rose Poulter Overall golf resort services is well above average Reason 1. Caddies - random caddie average age 20-22 will assign to each golfer, a good caddie can change the overall golf experience, whether the ball dropped at the rough, the cliff or river. An experience caddie be able to pick it up for you, she will be able to evaluate the distance for you. As a female golfer holding the umbrella to shading over the sun is very important. Reason 2. Club Restaurant serve international food. Signature dish Hainanese chicken rice taste better than Singapore and quick to serve Reason 3. Golf club be able to delivered from courses to hotel, club house, driving range as instructed Hotel provides different facilities swimming pool , nice gym, bike ride track, tennis court, 3D photo theatre, spa and message... However, hotel do not offer any loyalty program, or upgrade of rooms to frequent guests that was disappointing. Travel time from Hk to Mission hills at least 2 hours per trip if hotel offer discounted rate for day golf and stay. Will attract golfers to stay longer and play more often.
"Great golf experience. Wonderful staff"

I am an American and drove up from HK to try this famous resort. It was truly a 5 star experience. First, we stopped for a buffet lunch. Choice and quality was excellent. But an example of the staff: I need to charge my IPhone. They quickly put it on one of their chargers at the front desk. Really remarkable. Problem solved!! With a smile! We then went down to pick up the cart. First they told me they would find an English speaking caddie. Wow. Then, since I rented clubs, they offered club and shaft choices. I went for Taylor made over Nike . The caddies are all female and they drive with you. Good at reading greens and determined to find balls.. Also they have plenty of extra balls if needed. We started on Sorenstam. I was not impressed with the design. VERY hilly. After 12 holes a Marshall arrived and apologized for the slow play ( about 2 1/2 hours) and suggested we could switch to Rose/Pouler which was open. My caddie translated. We decided to go. All I can say is wow. What service. Rose/Pouler ( we played 1-6 due to darkness) is a superb design. Real great shot values and great variety. I would love to finish. Greens were being serviced and really slow. After the round we went to the men's locker room to change (BRING CLOTHES- it is really hot). Facilities were Ritz standard. Fluffy towels, shoe service, spa etc. We booked a resort car to take us back to the border. Waiting time was literally 2 mins. ( u need rmb to pay). Not expensive. I will definitely be back.
