We had a wonderful time at the beautiful Rosemary Inn for our 30th anniversary. The owners are very friendly, the Inn is so beautiful, and it is close to all that is going on in Augusta, GA. We highly recommend it. (The pictures are exactly as it is.)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place and Great Atmosphere! Wonderful"
Wonderful! Can't wait to do it again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Rosemary Inn was over the top in southern charm. I fully expected to meet the ghost of Rhett Butler on the grand staircase in the middle of the night! Innkeepers Kelly and Diana were super hospitable and relay the history of the house (and its neighbor, the Lookaway Inn across the street, which they also own) and their restoration efforts as if […] it were the first time they were telling the story. Breakfast in the dining room is a leisurely experience where you will probably linger to exchange stories with other guests. I would highly recommend this inn if you are looking for a romantic getaway or for frequent travelers who want a change from the typical large, hotel chain experience. "Best place to stay if you travel to Augusta GA"
The most wonderful welcome and amazing breakfast in a historical antebellum mansion. We loved it! Will definitely go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very well done"
Many b & bs are frilly old places, over stuffed, stuffy, and overly quaint for my taste....this one is not. Its very, very well constructed and remodeled up to date. Its clean and neat, but still wonderfully historic. It has the feel of an uppercrust mansion from the early 1900s. Many famous people have been there through the years. Innkeepers will […] be happy to inform you as much as you want. Just a hop, skip & jump to old Augusta, GA., but its across the river in N. Augusta, S.C. I highly reccomend you ignor reviews that complaine about time to eat and other trivia that some people find it necessary to complaine about, and find your way to Rosemary Inn. "Perfect stay for a first anniversary!"
From the moment we arrived, we felt at home at Rosemary Inn. The innkeepers were very kind and waited up for us despite our late arrival. Kelly gave us a tour of the home and just enough history to leave us wanting to learn more in the morning. Our room was everything we expected and more. The Magnolia Room was beautifully decorated with outstanding […] antique furniture but provided all the amenities we desired. A newspaper and fresh coffee were right outside our door the next morning. Downstairs, Jay prepared an awesome gourmet breakfast that we enjoyed very much. We then sat outside in rocking chairs on the spacious front porch and drank our perhaps fifth cup of coffee. Overall, this stay was a serene and delightful trip back in time with a staff, property, and amenities that exceeded expectations. A must for anyone in the Augusta area or from afar that wants to experience southern grandeur and hospitality! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our room was the Alexander. It was wonderfully romantic with sumptuous bedding, charming decor, and luxurious claw footed tub. They even had bath salts and bubble bath waiting for us! The innkeepers were very warm and helpful. We were looking for a room along I-20, we found a romantic oasis! Thank you!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful historic bed and breakfast"
Beautiful historic bed and breakfast. Our room was beautifully appointed with all modern conveniences. The owners made an awesome gourmet breakfast. My daughter felt like we were in the early 1900's being surrounded by such opulence. The history of the home was quite interesting and the owners knew all of the details. "Rosemary Inn- step back in time with comfort"
Our innkeepers were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the history of this historic home and the surrounding area. This inn is a beautiful lodging, filled with period antiques, and lovely artwork. The grandeur of the Southern gilded age surrounds you at every turn. My son was fascinated with the story of the people who lived there. And […] he said he would like to come back for another visit! I agree. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The Inn was beautiful. The hosts were knowledgeable about the Augusta area and its history, which added to our really great experience. Their dining recommendations were also very good. The full breakfast was excellent. Great time; I'd definitely go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Highly Recommend the Rosemary Inn"
Spent a lovely weekend at the Rosemary Inn Bed & Breakfast while attending a wedding in Augusta, Georgia, which is minutes away across the river. The house, which was built in the early 1900s, was surprisingly spacious with a huge porch and comfortable yard. The owners are delighted to be caring for it and enhusiastic about the area and things to see […] and do. They also happily helped us get our boarding passes for the flight home and provided guest passes to the local museum that we planned to visit. My husband and I hope we have another event that takes us back so we can enjoy another relaxing visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

What a treat to stay in a luxurious historial landmark with all the the modern conveniences. The Rosemary Inn is so comfortable with numerous rooms to explore and relax and read or just visit with others. Great southern breakfast that is sure to please all tastes. The host and hostess are so friendly and accomodating. They'll tell you the history of […] the Inn and make you feel right at home. The bedrooms are spacious and elegantly furnished yet very comfortable. Our suite had a large footed tub as well as a large separate shower. The dressing room had twin sinks with lots of elbow room. "Wonderful Experience At the Rosemary Inn"
My wife Kathy and I recently stayed at the Rosemary Inn. We were welcomed warmly and the place is absolutely stunning! When I mentioned to them that it was Kathy's birthday they took the time to do little special things to make her feel special. We learned so much about the history of the house and how it related to the rest of the town of Augusta. […] Do not believe the bad reviews! Whoever wrote them didn't know what they were talking about. We plan to go back for other special occassions. The Rosemary was just rated in the top ten as most Romantic places to stay out of 28,000 applicants. It is well deserved! Don't hesitate to book your anniversary or other special occassion here or just stay for a night or two and experience the time period from the gilded age. Truly it was an amazing experience! "Magnificent Rosemary Inn"
Could not fault anything about the Rosemary Inn. The only the only thing wrong with this part of our trip was the fact that we had only booked for one night and not for more. Both the house and the hosts were magnificentGenuine Expedia guest review

Visiting from England, we recently stayed two nights at this magnificent place and Kelly and Diana made us very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were superb. I recommend it heartily without any hesitation.

We just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Rosemary Inn and it couldn't have been nicer. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. The pictures are true to life. Service and food were exceptional. Augusta has plenty to see and do. We want to do it again next year.
"Truely Amazing and Relaxing!!"

I stayed at this little place of heaven with my wife for a marriage retreat. The service was exceptional and the food was just amazing. The owners treated us as if we were family always making sure we was comfortable and had everything we needed. I plan to go back at least once a year just too have some time alone with my wife and relax as they help you do! Stay here you'll be glad that you did!!

We arrived at the Inn greeted by a very friendly host that showed us around and took us to our room. We chose the Alexander suite and was so impressed. I like to stay in rooms with the largest soaking tub and the old fashioned claw foot did the trick. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linens. The outdoor space around the house was as beautiful as the indoor. The house is immaculate and the hosts are friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the city. We took their advice for dinner and wasn't disappointed. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of food and beverages. I would definitely recommend this property and the room we stayed in. Enjoy, we did.

Everything we could have wanted and more! Loved every minute of our stay. The food was good, the service was exceptional, the rooms were gorgeous. I have nothing to say that is negative or critical, other than I would put in more mural wallpaper and less plain paint for a more historical look. If that is my only criticism, they have done an excellent job!
"Great B&B Off the Beaten Path"
06/16/14 PhilR935 Tallahassee, Florida
My wife and I spent one night at the Rosemary Inn on our way home from DC. The interior is absolutely gorgeous - the woodwork has been completely restored to its original grandeur. Furniture and furnishings in the bedrooms, parlors, and anterooms are true to the early 20th century history of the home. This beautiful home was built by North Augusta, SC's founder, James Jackson. North Augusta, SC is directly across the Savannah River from Augusta, GA with many good restaurants available for dinner. Our hosts could not have been kinder or more helpful and were extremely knowledgeable of the history of the town and the house. We enjoyed wonderful after-dinner repartee with them and a British couple staying there. Breakfast was divine. We have stayed at a number of B&Bs over the years - this one is by far the best.
"BEST. B&B. EVER."
06/07/14 Gayle S
Our daughter gave us a night at the Rosemary Inn as a gift and what a wonderful gift it was! We have stayed at many (20+) B&Bs across the nation and Rosemary Inn was by far the best. Make sure you take time to wander through all the rooms in the house - beautiful and expert restoration done here. And very authentic to the time period. We received the 'extras' of champagne in our room, private breakfast on the terrace and a late checkout, and these little touches made everything extra special. Truly loved our time here and hope to return again one day!
"Better than expected!!"

We were visiting Augusta, GA and found Rosemary Inn to look interesting so booked 2 nights even though it was in North Augusta, SC. It was so close to what we wanted to do in Augusta. We were bike riding and found the greenway in North Augusta to ride that was beautiful. The inn is in such good condition, the room comfortable and looked out the front over the landscaped front yard. The history of the inn is evident, the care and love of the inn noted, as Kelly and Diana are so proud of Rosemary Inn. The breakfasts were very tasty, snacks and drinks are available anytime, the central AC worked well, the linens of good quality. Just arriving in the driveway takes you back in time. The inn is beautifully restored and full of history. Sitting on the porch is a wonderful way of ending the day!

What a wonderful experience! Rosemary Inn has been lovingly and beautifully restored to its former grandeur. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast and amenities were very nice. A guest feels like they have stepped back into a more genteel time in our history. The owners/hosts make you feel very welcome and enjoy sharing the history of the home and area. We were in town for a school reunion but would encourage everyone to find a reason to be in the North Augusta area just to experience this lovely inn. Thank you to Kelly and Diana for helping us revive memories of years past and create new ones for the present.
"Quite a find"
04/22/14 cyssf San Francisco, CA
This is a beautiful, gracious mansion with the original wood, ceilings, etc. The rooms are very generous in size and have all the amenities you could want including Frette bathrobes, space heaters, toiletries. In the common hall there are coffee making supplies, snacks, a refrigerator with cold drinks, bottled water. You have a small window of time to check in because the owners own two properties (across the street from each other) with this being the smaller B&B. There isn't someone in attendance all the time although they are reachable by cell phone. It is relatively inexpensive for what you get - a good value. The breakfast is a common table served at a fixed time which for me is a slight negative. The food was good albeit small portions sizes. The graciousness of the owners is a real plus. Would recommend this if you need a stopping place about 2 1/2 hours from the Atlanta airport.
