"Great Place and Great Atmosphere! Wonderful"
Wonderful! Can't wait to do it again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Rosemary Inn was over the top in southern charm. I fully expected to meet the ghost of Rhett Butler on the grand staircase in the middle of the night! Innkeepers Kelly and Diana were super hospitable and relay the history of the house (and its neighbor, the Lookaway Inn across the street, which they also own) and their restoration efforts as if […] it were the first time they were telling the story. Breakfast in the dining room is a leisurely experience where you will probably linger to exchange stories with other guests. I would highly recommend this inn if you are looking for a romantic getaway or for frequent travelers who want a change from the typical large, hotel chain experience. "Best place to stay if you travel to Augusta GA"
The most wonderful welcome and amazing breakfast in a historical antebellum mansion. We loved it! Will definitely go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very well done"
Many b & bs are frilly old places, over stuffed, stuffy, and overly quaint for my taste....this one is not. Its very, very well constructed and remodeled up to date. Its clean and neat, but still wonderfully historic. It has the feel of an uppercrust mansion from the early 1900s. Many famous people have been there through the years. Innkeepers will […] be happy to inform you as much as you want. Just a hop, skip & jump to old Augusta, GA., but its across the river in N. Augusta, S.C. I highly reccomend you ignor reviews that complaine about time to eat and other trivia that some people find it necessary to complaine about, and find your way to Rosemary Inn. "Perfect stay for a first anniversary!"
From the moment we arrived, we felt at home at Rosemary Inn. The innkeepers were very kind and waited up for us despite our late arrival. Kelly gave us a tour of the home and just enough history to leave us wanting to learn more in the morning. Our room was everything we expected and more. The Magnolia Room was beautifully decorated with outstanding […] antique furniture but provided all the amenities we desired. A newspaper and fresh coffee were right outside our door the next morning. Downstairs, Jay prepared an awesome gourmet breakfast that we enjoyed very much. We then sat outside in rocking chairs on the spacious front porch and drank our perhaps fifth cup of coffee. Overall, this stay was a serene and delightful trip back in time with a staff, property, and amenities that exceeded expectations. A must for anyone in the Augusta area or from afar that wants to experience southern grandeur and hospitality! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our room was the Alexander. It was wonderfully romantic with sumptuous bedding, charming decor, and luxurious claw footed tub. They even had bath salts and bubble bath waiting for us! Beautiful historic bed and breakfast. Our room was beautifully appointed with all modern conveniences. The owners made an awesome gourmet breakfast. "Rosemary Inn- step back in time with comfort"
Our innkeepers were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the history of this historic home and the surrounding area. The Inn was beautiful. The hosts were knowledgeable about the Augusta area and its history, which added to our really great experience. Their dining recommendations were also very good. The full breakfast was excellent. Great time; I'd definitely go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Highly Recommend the Rosemary Inn"
Spent a lovely weekend at the Rosemary Inn Bed & Breakfast while attending a wedding in Augusta, Georgia, which is minutes away across the river. The house, which was built in the early 1900s, was surprisingly spacious with a huge porch and comfortable yard. The owners are delighted to be caring for it and enhusiastic about the area and things to see […] and do. They also happily helped us get our boarding passes for the flight home and provided guest passes to the local museum that we planned to visit. My husband and I hope we have another event that takes us back so we can enjoy another relaxing visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

What a treat to stay in a luxurious historial landmark with all the the modern conveniences. The Rosemary Inn is so comfortable with numerous rooms to explore and relax and read or just visit with others. Great southern breakfast that is sure to please all tastes. The host and hostess are so friendly and accomodating. They'll tell you the history of […] the Inn and make you feel right at home. The bedrooms are spacious and elegantly furnished yet very comfortable. Our suite had a large footed tub as well as a large separate shower. The dressing room had twin sinks with lots of elbow room. "Wonderful Experience At the Rosemary Inn"
My wife Kathy and I recently stayed at the Rosemary Inn. We were welcomed warmly and the place is absolutely stunning! When I mentioned to them that it was Kathy's birthday they took the time to do little special things to make her feel special. We learned so much about the history of the house and how it related to the rest of the town of Augusta. […] Do not believe the bad reviews! Whoever wrote them didn't know what they were talking about. We plan to go back for other special occassions. The Rosemary was just rated in the top ten as most Romantic places to stay out of 28,000 applicants. It is well deserved! Don't hesitate to book your anniversary or other special occassion here or just stay for a night or two and experience the time period from the gilded age. Truly it was an amazing experience! "Magnificent Rosemary Inn"
Could not fault anything about the Rosemary Inn. The only the only thing wrong with this part of our trip was the fact that we had only booked for one night and not for more. Both the house and the hosts were magnificentGenuine Expedia guest review

A perfect stay from the very moment we arrived. My wife and I were greeted warmly throughout our stay. The owners really cared about our comfort. Breakfast is superb and right on time each morning. The southern charm and décor is not to be missed. Our room was spacious and comfy, the bed warmer was thoughtful. We would definitely return as my son and grand daughters live nearby.
"History, food, bicycles"
02/27/14 75peaches Atlanta
My two children, 8 and 11, love staying at bed and breakfast establishments over hotels. The Rosemary Inn is a good reason why. Our gigantic bedroom was the former bedroom of James Jackson. Whoa! Breakfast was delicious. After stuffing our faces, the owners brought out bicycles for us to enjoy. The owners, Kelly and Diane, are delightful. They gave us complete tour of the home, pointing out the historical aspects of the home. Kelly even humored us with his tales of the stuffed squirrel. What a great weekend!

We live in N. Augusta, and this is the 3rd time we've stayed at the Rosemary Inn. Our goal is to stay in every room at least once. Each room has it's own charm and personality - all historic with modern conveniences. Kelly and Diana Combs (owners) and their staff go out of their way to make our stay special - every time. They provide all the little extras that add up to a memorable stay - excellent coffee, bed warmer, comfortable sheets and blankets, water on the bed-side table, exquisite furnishings, exceptional breakfast (that's different every time!) served with a personal touch, and so much more! We are already looking forward to our next visit!
"Wow! Fabulous Birthday Surprise Getaway!"
02/22/14 Lauren W
My husband surprised me with a getaway night in the very romantic and beautiful Rosemary Inn just across the river from our home in the Augusta area. The Innkeepers were so professional and friendly and truly made us feel comfortable and cherished....from the candies and glow of candles when we arrived home that night to the elegantly prepared breakfast served bedside the next morning. The music was elegant and the beds and furnishings were period-perfect while taking into consideration modern conveniences. One special place!!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was amazing!! Very beautiful and lots of history. The owners are very nice and accommodating to everyone needs. It's location is perfect because it's so close to downtown Augusta and all the new, hip restaurants that we would not have ever went to if we hadn't been staying here. The room was very comfortable and the bed warmer was amazing!! The breakfast was great both mornings with two totally different menus served. We only live 30 mins away but this was a nice getaway that was right in our own backyard!!! We will definitely be telling everyone we know about this great place!! Thanks to Kelly and Diana the owners for making it a great experience for us!!!
"A beautiful, relaxing and delicious place to spend an anniversary"
01/02/14 Aaron A Orlando, Florida
We were immediately taken with the Rosemary Inn as we approached in the car. The huge columns really grabbed our attention and took us back in time. The inside is even more beautiful with incredible wood moulding and period decor. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated with a seating area and lots of windows. The bed was very comfy and we really enjoyed the bed warmer that made it even more desirable to get between the sheets. Breakfasts were delicious with tasty entrees and plentiful coffee. The owners were easy to talk to and most helpful with information and making reservations. We truly enjoyed our 3 night stay and highly recommend it.
"Our 2013 Office Christmas Party/ Murder Mystery"

We had such an amazing event at the Rosemary Inn on December 19th 2013! Besides the amazing venue itself, the service was impeccable! The new owners and Jai are top notch and really easy to work with! We are not at all an easy group to work with (for starters, we had about a week to plan a perfect Christmas Party for 30....or 40 or what actually ended up being about 60!) They were so great and accommodating to our entire crew! The food was outstanding. The place itself is amazing, its been fully restored and was the perfect spot for our murder mystery Christmas party! The rooms are all beautiful too! Next time we have a big group coming to stay with us, we will put them up there! Its super affordable for that kind of luxury! Special thanks to Diane and Jai! They are the best!

In the area on business, and feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay at the Rosemary Inn. Beautifully restored and decorated. Lovely welcoming hosts who even accommodated our extended work hours. Convenient to downtown. I would recommend this for anyone looking for an experience that reflects the historic character of the community.

This is the best bed & breakfast I've ever stayed at. I loved the house... I enjoyed the huge Jackson Suite and sitting outside on the veranda. It was very neat to be able to kick off my shoes and make myself comfortable in a place like this. What really put the experience over the top, though, was the owners' incredible customer service. They truly understand outstanding customer service down to the smallest detail. They've thought of everything and they're wonderful people. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

My wife and I have been staying at B&Bs in the USA and abroad for the best part of 35 years. In all that time, we've never seen a B&B where so much attention has been paid to details designed to ensure a comfortable visit (Think multiple luggage racks, a newspaper under your door in the morning, multiple nighlight/flashlights, coffee/soda and snack bar, etc.). If the friendly folks at Rosemary Inn have forgotten something, we certainly didn't notice it. What's more...all of this is set in an early 20th century mansion that has been exquisitely restored. In addition to the eight or so sleeping rooms...each with modern ensuite bath....there are also numerous public rooms for your enjoyment. One could spend an hour just wandering from room to room...hallway to hallway...gazing at the marvelous custom woodwork, moldings, paneling and ceilings! The magnificent double stairway leading from the front entrance hall to the second floor dazzles you immediately upon entering the building...and that's only the beginning. Our party of four visited Rosemary Inn at the conclusion of a 600-mile small boat cruise from Columbia, SC to Augusta, GA. The folks at Rosemary Inn liased with North Augusta law enforcement authorities to clear the way so we could conveniently park our long truck, trailer and boat rig right in front of the inn. They also allowed us to store our "chase" car on their property for 10 days while we rolled down the rivers and ICW of SC and GA. Sometime next year, we hope to rendezvous back at Rosemary Inn with four or five other couples from around the country. I can hear their "Oooooooooos" and "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhsss" now.
