Staff was courteous and helpful within the limits of their English skills. Neighborhood is a little run down, but you can walk to the interesting parts of Beijing. Nothing great, nothing horrible

Terrible service. Rooms smelled like smoke carpets were filthy sink totally clogged up and air conditioning doesn't work. Not so good location. The staff very rude and will keep your deposit for no good reason and charge you 3$ to call for a taxi. I would definantly not reccomend this hotel. Ravi CAanada

no one spoke english except for one lady, Jenny, during the day shift. she had perfect english and will help you with anything you need. the night manager was also very helpful, and worked with me through my bad chinese to help us with many things. i came back late one night and tried to ask where a massage place is..... but didnt fully understand his […] directions. so, he walked me the whole three blocks to the massage place! when it was time to check out, he also negotiated the cab fare with the taxi driver for me. excellent service. also, the decor was just so cute! when you first walk in there are wooden lanterns hanging from the ceiling... the red tassels give a cool effect. food in the hotel restaurant is very cheap and good. the surrounding neighborhood is a clean and vibrant hutong, feel free to walk around and check out the local restaurants. will definitely stay here again. oh, i will also note that the beds are "hard" by western standards, but completely normal for a chinese hotel or home. it is actually better for your back and i had no problems the next morning. Hard to find, but we had the address written in Chinese courtesy of Information people at the airport. Jae spoke pretty good English--very helpful showing us how to use the AC and internet. Location is on a narrow street near many local street vendors and restaurants who do not cater to English speakers, but very friendly, the food delicious. The location, service and decor of the place was great. One of the best deal, considering the price. I liked the traditional chinese style decor and made this place unique. Apart from the bed which were a little hard, I thought this place was great. Not sure if the location was the greatest, but it is close to may attractions.

First, keep the number to the hotel so the taxi can call and get directions. It's a little hard to find for the taxis, but it's not hard to get around on foot. The hotel is only a 15 minute walk to the subway and from there you can see the entire city. There's a nice little noodle shop on the corner next to the hotel. They have an English menu and […] the noodles are pretty good. The staff speaks some English and can help you with stuff you need. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and the shower was great. The beds were comfortable (hard, but that's China) and you get CCTV News in English on the TV. There are no great views from the windows, but there really isn't much to see in Beijing anyway. We had a really nice stay, especially for the price. Read more

We've have stayed in this hotel for 6 nights during our business trip to Beijing. The first night we arrived in the middle of the night, getting a taxi to send us to the hotel was the toughest job. Even if there's a taxi around, with the google map of the hotel location, they still gave me "difficult to find the place" as an excuse not to send us. Luckily […] in the end we managed to meet a kind-hearted taxi driver to send us to the hotel. The location of the hotel is actually NOT difficult to find at all. All you have to tell the taxi driver is the main road name "Mei Shu Guan Hou Jie" （美术馆后街）then you can walk into the hotel street and reach hotel in just 2 mins from the main road. Behind the hotel was a street of local stores where you can meet a lot of kind folks. Besides, the streets are almost all connected. We were just wandering around in the streets and then we bumped into Wang Fu Jing Street and JingShan Park! The hotel staff are nice and quite helpful. But you have to get used to the attitude of China people, they just don't get used to smile when talking to you. Read more

The hotel was good, but I found the courtyard garden very disappointing. The buffet breakfast wasn't actually a buffet. The staff that could speak english there were amazingly helpful and made the stay much more pleasant. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were good.

cheap hotel, cleaning was not satisfactory unfortunatly (especially no vaccuming anytime it seems) for the price we got it was a very good deal for us, quiet location, helpfull staff (only few speak english though)

Given the price, this hotel should be recommendable. The receptionists are kind and efficient. The room is clean. Free-internet PC in front of the reception desk is quite helpful. The location of the hotel is a little complicated. I recommend that you get the hotel's card with detailed map and show it to taxi drivers.

The hotel is located quite nicely right on the north end of Wangfujing, and is thus quite close to the Forbidden city and other main sights. 網路照片拍得很漂亮~~ 實際上差很多!! 我們已經住的是豪華房了~ 但實際上卻是這樣 那標準房真是不敢想像~~ 另外，訂房時說我們房間有景可以看，原來他的景 只是有一個小陽台 上面放一盆盆栽 陽台外面是很高的圍牆 所以啥都看不到 @@ 另外，櫃檯服務小姐的臉超臭的~~ 好像誰欠他錢一樣~~ 問她路 他回答得非常冷淡，最後我們還是自己看地圖找路~~ 一點幫助都沒有!!!!

Das Hotel ist sehr schlecht zu finden (weil es auch namentlich außen anders heist)! Die Lage: Die Umgebung ist wirklich nicht die "Feinste", aber Bushaltestellen sind in direkter Nähe. Das Zimmer, na ja, es gab zwar ein LAN-Kabel aber keinen Kleiderschrank (nur ein kaputten Plastikständer)! Wir mußten unsere Kleidung irgendwo zusammenstapeln (waren […] immerhin 5 Nächte hier). Sehr unsauber (es wurde nicht gesaugt oder geputzt!). Bettwäsche wurde in den 6 Tagen nicht gewechselt. Personal sprach z.T. etwas Englisch und war bemüht, hilfreich zu sein. Das Hotel kann man (trotz des günstigen Preis) nicht unbedingt weiterempfehlen. Read more
