We went there in December 2012. Hotel is clean and quiet. Personnel is okay but need to improve their English. Also I must mentioned we had a terrible check out as the bill for the restaurant was confusing. We felt they wanted to charge us for more than what we consumed.

Good things: Villa style rooms, great furnishings/fittings, nice reception, very calm and quiet, very decent food. Not so good things: Very remotely located, very difficult to find if reaching late in the evening, locations looks isolated at times, no near by shops/stores, it is a decent walk to beach. Things that needs improvement: Proper walk way to beach (stone gravel hurt feet, sandy would be nice), geysers are hopeless - solar geysers would be ideal

Wow, what a nice place to stay with wonderful staff. This place is truely a gem in India and as a traveler guide publisher I can't say enough about this jewel of a hotel. In Oct 2012 I spent three weeks mostly in Goa while having dental work done in Margo. Three days on my first visit, returning two other times on short notice and two additional surprise visits during my visit to India. Each and every visit proved that this was a find not to be missed. Start with the new buildings and rooms, the last construction just finishing up on the final structure. Perfect grounds, families won't find a better set-up in all of India. Away from the vendors and stores, but still just minutes from the beach and everything in Colva. Now Colva is your most Americanized location in Goa and in saying that, all of India. The beaches are both swimable and safe, something not found at many Goa beaches. Also, the Colva area has more of the upscale hotels located in the surrounding towns. Staying at Costa Del Sol was as nice as any three star hotel in Boston or San Francisco. As amenities go, had everything and everything worked well. Again, can't go wrong ever booking at Costa Del Sol, that is if you can get a room, so book soon. While looking out back at Costa Del Sol from your balcony you'll see shepherds and cows, rice planters and Asian fields of tropical trees and plants, wild boar, monkey's and an endless feast for the eyes.

Goa is tantamount to Bath in England. People from all over the world travel there to relax, eat and rejuvenate. Get over the less than 21st Century... amenities and the bed making, clean up and you will find a quaint hotel for the cost. The Roundcube is the southernmost part of Goa without being as highfalutin as the 5 star resorts and geriatrics of North Goa. South Goa has cleaner beaches than North Goa and don't want to swim with bottles or other garbage. The shower & toilet are one unit which requires a squeege. You have to buy your own shampoo, soap and toilet paper. There are numerous stores within walking distance to obtain your toiletries. Roundcube is a LOT safer than the beach bungalows down the road. There is a huge armoire to lock your belongings. We saw numerous tourists toting their backpacks around with all their stuff because their bungalows had no security. Who wants to hang out at the beach with all their things? Our room had an open window to the bathroom to keep mold from growing in the shower/toilet so keep the door closed and the mosquitoes will not find you. Otherwise bring a mosquito net and some DEET. Make sure to pay for the AC because Goa is humid. The hotel has internet downstairs and exchanges money at the current rate without all the annoying fees. The staff can also help book train rides, plane tickets to other areas of India. If you must have someone who speaks English, they are quite fluent. There are rickshaws, Vespas and motorcycles for rent around the corner. The best bar, The Cuba, is directly in front of the hotel and offers cheap eats. There are also numerous restaurants on the beach that will barbeque your fish, crab or lobster right after you pick it up. We enjoyed our Stay at Roundcube. The Deluxe room provided by the hotel was good, but the non-provision of lift was a drawback considering walking 2 floors up and down daily. Other than that everything went fine with our stay. Hotel is at a walkable distance from Palolem Beach.

Poor standard room, even the socalled super deluxe room. Poor standard bathrom and bath fascilities. In the room only a bed not even a chair or table. Best thing I can say is that it had a functioning tv. I would not stay here again as there are so many other cheaper and better options much closer to the beach or on the beach

This is place not owned by Round Cube, rather hired from other property. Though the huts are newly built and was clean, you cannot keep window open due to mosquitoes. Thankfully staff is supportive and provide with coils and water on request. The area near hut is well maintained but access road is poor and passes through alleys. bonjour, nous avons passé 3 nuits dans une chambre de l'hôtel , une equipe de jeunes tiennent l'hôtel ils sont très sympathiques ainsi que la jeune fille qui lave le linge qui est très souriante , la chambre était propre grande avec un balcon, le lit confortable les matelas sont souvent très durs en Inde ,nous sommes in Inde ne l'oublions pas les hôtels […] sont differents des hôtels Français , nous avons eu presque tout le temps de l'eau chaude (assez rare en Inde) l'hôtel est placé dans une rue commerçante à environ 200 ms de la plage , nous n'avons pas vu les huttes nous ne ferons pas de commentaires la dessus , je suis contente de pouvoir donner mon avis car je trouvais leur note injustifiée Read more

Beskrivelsen som ble gitt på rommene da vi bestilte og på den e-post vi leste i Varanasi om hva som forventet oss på neste opphold stemt overhodet ikke med hva vi møtte; hyttene er SVÆRT enkle og badet ganske ekkelt! støyen fra Laughing Budda bar fulgt oss hele natten! […] Vi valgte på tross av allerde betalt hytte å flytte til et langt bedre sted "the dreamcatcher" som kostet mindre enn roundcube. Dreamcatcher kan anbefales! Read more
