Hotel clerks are friendly. They helped me set up the internet connection. My room is clean but small. I paid $30 (=189 Chinese Yuan) through Hotel.Com but got a small room that charged for 159 Chinese Yuan.

As a foreigner, they had a hard time understanding but they were always trying to help, I think that was very nice! It was located near several banks and shopping areas so it was good for loking around, The only disadvantage is that not all taxi drivers know how to arrive there

GreenTree Inn Fuzhou: Fuzhou is a beautifully lush walking city that wakes up early and goes to bed even later. My stay was late July to early August, so daily sprinkles or heavy showers were to be expected - thanks to the staff for the umbrella! The hotel could not be […] better situated within the city, as it's close to parks, restaurants, supermarkets, historical sites, and shopping - Louis Vuitton to the mom & pop shoe stores and everything in between. The business center was non-existent, however, the room had wi-fi. The room was pretty spartan but clean, it reminded me of European hotels in that the rooms were lacking in space, no closet to speak of. All the funds must have gone into the marble bathroom and the flatscreen tv, as the bed was extremely stiff - it felt like sleeping on a wooden panel. The noise level was slightly above normal only because of the Chinese custom of leaving their hotel room doors open, and the marble floors didn't damped the sound. The red light district was fairly close by, and if you needed a reminder, those offering services would place business cards in your door slot. 99% of the customers were Chinese, who were a very friendly mix of families, tourist, or those having a private night with their lover. The staff was very friendly, however, the youngsters lacked knowledge of the city or services outside the hotel ... we used google translate to communicate. Read more

The rooms were clean and comfortable enough, though quite small. It's within a short cab ride of most kinds of things that you would need. The staff, however, speaks next to no english at all. Checking in and out took a long time. They couldn't help me out with directions to restaurants or anything else. There isn't much by way of facilities, either.
