We booked here because it was close to a party we were attending and didn't want a late night trip back home. The hosts were quite welcoming and provided... the information we needed about the hotel and area upon check-in. The room was clean and spacious, with a very comfy big bed. Although an older hotel, it is obvious the owners care very much about its upkeep. Towels were big and fluffy, and it had the best water pressure in the shower that we have found yet in Ireland. Nice toiletries were provided as well. We also enjoyed our breakfast - probably too much! Would have liked some fresh fruit with it, but all-in-all, everything was very good. 'Reception area' was a shambles! After shuffling through papers strewn about the desk, our booking was found. Questions were asked about the type of room we wanted although the booking had been made and confirmed months before. Phone calls were made and eventually he allocated us a room. We had to pay first, but I insisted on seeing the room before […] we did that. Our 'twin' room turned out to be a large room containing what looked like a double size double bed and two single beds!
