A nice 4 start like hotel within Little India and conveniently located to the Little India metro stop. Note....there are several exits out of the metro terminal....take the McKenzie exit (go down and back up escalators). You will be a few blocks away passed Rex Cinema (Ballywood) and along the Albert Street square. Several eateries within Little India […] proper. Took advice from Lonely planet guide and ate at the northern India/Nepal restaurant just down Albert Street. Wonderful food and a decent Singapore price. Reminder...Singapore is expensive so great value for this stay due to location and convenience for a single guy. The room I had was small and the walls were paper thin. Luckily I didn't have revelers for the Chinese New Year that made too much noise. The room I had was good for 1 or 2 people tops. Not a family. Shower is also open so the floor will get wet. My family and I have a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Room cleaning service is excellent. The hotel is within short walking distance to two subway stations and two sight-seeing attractions (Bugis Night Market and Little India).

The hotel is fairly new & clean, located not too far from Bugis and Little India MRTs. There is a 7eleven just below the hotel, and an eatery nearby. There is a hawker center about 2 blocks away, which was great. We ate local breakfast before heading out. Though I stayed here for 1 day but the experience was good. The hotel has an excellent location, nice clean rooms, good swimming pool. It is very near to Little India and Slimlim square. We tend to stay here because of the location-right next door to Little India . We enjoy the atmosphere here and the foods available in the area. The hotels rooms are smallish but comfy and clean. We tried contacting reception via the phone twice but no one answered which was annoying. And i am displeased at having to pay for the internet.

Location is ok. 5-10 minute walk to the nearest MRT stations (little india and bugis). Room was so tiny! Smallest hotel room i have ever stayed in. We had a queen size bed which took up mostly the whole room. No balcony and no view from the small window. Bathroom was terrible as well. So small you wouldnt want to be a big person. The shower had not […] enough glass around it (no door to close) and so the whole floor and toilet got wet when you showered. No fan as well so it fogged up really quickly. There was heaps of mould in the bathroom as well. Only good thing about the room was the air conditioning worked... We booked a tour through the tour desk after a while as it was always shut. No one could tell us the same time it opened in the morning either. Tour was ok. Good hawker centre across the road with some nice food and cheap beers. My wife and I stayed a night at this hotel. When we read some of the other reviews, we were a bit apprehesive. But to our surprise, our stay was more than pleasant. this is a nice clean hotel in a very convenient location and close to all the facilities. Arrived at approx 9pm and was informed that my room was under 'maintenance' and consequently, they don't have a room for me. They offered an upgraded room, with breakfast and free wi-fi in one of their other hotel, 5 mins taxi ride which they will pay for. I did not want to go anywhere by taxi as I chose this hotel for its location. I was then offered […] the Bencoolen Hotel which is round the corner but I insisted that I wanted a room that I had pre-paid. The hotel was definitely full as was obvious in the foyer. I overheard another guest with the same problem. After further insistence, I was given an executive room on the 10th floor. The staff did try their best but they may have on-sold my room. The next morning, I witnessed 3 tourist buses waiting for guests to check out - it was indeed a very noise foyer! The hotel was quite new, relatively clean, staff well trained and overall, reflects a 3.5 star status. It is 3 mins walk to Chinatown and being a week to Chinese New Year, it was an interesting experience... good for shopping, eating and public transport. The hotel was quite strategically located, as it was a short walk from alot of eateries and malls in bugis. We managed to get a really good last minute deal from Hotels.com and was quite satisfied with the room and service. However, the walls can be quite thin and can be quite noisy and disturbing for those who are looking for a quiet place.
