Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. John has always been great in the dinning room and assisting us with our stays. Great location, parking space included with your room, easy access to skiing (bus to lift is right across the street from hotel), great European breakfast (fresh Orange juice machine is the best). We have stayed in Garmisch many times, and this is our first choice for a smaller hotel with personal touches.

This is a very pleasant guest house in a town just outside of Garmisch and about a 15 minute walk from the Zugspitze rail. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, home-cooked, and plentiful. I stayed here by myself for two nights. Regina took care of me like family on both days, including volunteering to drive me to the Zugspitze rail and to the Garmish metro when I left (both in the snow). She also was able to accommodate an early breakfast for me so I could catch my train on time. The house is from the 1890s and, although renovated, still has a simple, old Bavarian feel to it. The room was simple (had a deep bath tub, rather than mounted shower stall) but clean and comfortable. I was surprised at how pleasantly quiet the house was at night and slept very well. Lastly, they have a very cozy, copper fireplace w/ comfortable leather furniture in the front, bar area that is perfect for lounging in after a hard day of skiing. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for inexpensive convenience, comfort, and quiet!

We stayed at Fantasia for 1 night. As other reviewers have said, it's more like a bed and breakfast type of place, and it doesn't have a hair dryer or phone in the room like every other standard hotel out there (although I'm sure you can request a hair dryer any time) It's very adorable and cozy; the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Room is small, but very very cute! I would recommend it to everyone.

The staff at the hotel was amazing! I made a mistake on my reservation but they were so helpful and pleasant accommodating us. The rooms were perfect (clean, spacious, nicely decorated), especially if you get a lake view with the Alps as a backdrop. The only downside is that the immediate town is very small so restaurant and shopping options are limited if you are walking. Fussen is very close and offers more options. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Neuschwanstein (King Ludwid's) castle and would stay there again if/when we are back in the area.

Right in then heart of Oberammergau. Room was "huge", recently re models etc. Parking is non existent, for a deposit you will be given a permit for the nearest city lot on then next block over during weekdays. First impressions say everything, the room was good, but we never did identify the smell in then hallway.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They made sure we had a great stay. Very nice and comfortable rooms. They even threw in a free breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Endlich mal eine Einführung nach Maß! Bei der Ankuft wird einem nicht einfach nur der Schlüssel überreicht, sondern man wird über alles Wichtige aufgeklärt. Ohne Nachfrage wurde uns mitgeteilt, wo sich was befindet und wann. Sogar zum Thema Parken hat man uns - ohne Aufforderung - Informationen mitgeteilt. Das erste Mal überhaupt! Der Service also top! […] Die Zimmer sind liebe- und stilvoll eingerichtet. Einzig die etwas dünnen Wände stören, allerdings auch nur, wenn bei den Nachbarn die Spüllung betätigt wird. Ansonsten aber: Absolut empfehlenswert (in dieser Preisklasse). Read more
