"Quainted B&B away from cities"
At first arrival, I felt that the place is a bit run-down, unlike the pictures shown on the website. It is 5 mile away from Woodstock downtown, so we had to drive more distance than we thought. Another drawback is that there is no cell phone signal. This makes it inconvenient for us as we had to call our friends for meeting. After getting in the room […] and staying there, however, I have more good things to say about the place. Although the place is very old, the room is comfortable and roomy. I love the bathroom that seems to be fully renovated. It is large, clean, with big new tub. The place has a very nice, picturesque view, especially the swimming pond. The breakfast is extremely good. I would recommend for anyone wanting to be away from city, or a passer by. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Kedron Valley Inn is a small Inn with a very warm, romantic and cozy feel. It is one of the oldest Inns in Vermont and for those who enjoy history, there is some wonderful historical trivia to read about once there. Its extremely well maintained - everything is clean, the building is old but restored perfectly. The rooms are suprisingly spacious and […] again there is that feeling of living history. Dinner was outstanding and convenient and the staff is warm and friendly. This is a great choice for a romantic lazy getaway. Woodstock, just up the road lives up to its reputation - beautiful restored old buildings and a charming little town to walk through....loved it all!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to family"
The food at dinner and personal service at The Kedron Inn was great! Breakfast, which is included was lacking. Often the food in chafing dishes was cold or they were out of food and you had to wait for the refills. The property itself couldn't be more beautiful, idyllic. Our room #7 had a slopped floor and old worn carpets. The stairs and landing which […] were also carpeted, definitely needed replacing. While I understand that this is a historic property, we were somewhat disappointed with the decor. Overall it was a pleasant experience and the staff was quite accommodating. I would consider staying again. Overall, it almost rates a 4 and definitely a 5 for food, wine, and service! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Inn for a Romantic Weekend"
If you're going to be in the area and a just looking for a comfortable place to relax this is it. The grounds are beautiful and while we didn't partake of dinner the restaurant looks amazing and was packed both nights we were there. My only complaint is that the pillows are a bit soft.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Kedron Valley Inn provided an enjoyable weekend get-away in Woodstock, VT. The Inn was clean and quaint while the staff were incredibly friendly and pleasant. It is not walking distance to town so plan on a drive to Woodstock or Quechee.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful charming area."

"Great spot just outside of Woodstock"
Always a nice pleasant experience up there, close to Woodstock, away from the hustle and bustle of the access road at Killington. Delicious local food, good stuff all around.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Idyllic Vermont experience"
Our first visit to the state of Vermont couldn't have matched our expectations. We decided to stay at the Kendron Valley Inn because of it's proximity to Woodstock, the charm of having a fireplace, and the chance to be removed from the more touristy locations. Upon our arrival the beauty of the building and the friendly staff only added to the beautiful […] drive from Woodstock. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and provided great recommendations. Deb our bartender became a close friend and added the welcoming charm to the historic tavern atmosphere. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend the salads. Wendy the Manager was welcoming and between the staff, great facilities and a so much to see and do we decided to tack on one more night to our stay. We have found the one location we will always stay when visiting Vermont. Our expectations were matched and surpassed, we will be hopefully returning soon! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Vermont get away"
The in room fireplace was really nice, especially since the wood, matches and even the fire starter were provided. We all enjoyed breakfast in the porch with fresh fruit and delicious maple syrup. The staff could not gave been nicer.Genuine Expedia guest review
We really enjoyed our time at the Inn. The staff was so genuinely kind. We didn't get a chance to explore the immediate neighborhood, but nearby Woodstock was quaint and charming. There was a very helpful binder of things to do in the lobby, although we were happy just staying in and relaxing by the fireplace.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Comfortable friendly exeperience People who run it were very helpful. Great breakfast Sunday morning.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Authentic Vermont Inn"
Kedron Valley is a beautiful historic inn. My husband and I had been there on our honeymoon, and decided to go back for our 20th anniversary. I have to say that the food was not up to the calliber that we remembered. However, the room was wonderful and very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"would absolutely recommend"
We had a wonderful time and the staff were beyond fantastic! From check in to check out, we were pleased. We have stayed at similar places before that were fancier, but none nicer or cleaner.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hospitality Done Right!"
The staff at KVI is the most hospitable staff we have ever experienced. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this Inn. They are also very pet friendly as is the whole town of Woodstock!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Away from the crowds"
We really enjoyed this historic inn that was only a short distance away from the crowds in Woodstock,VT. The main building featured a fine dining restaurant and tavern that provided us with a sumptuous dinner and great service. The country inn ambiance had a definite air of equestrian décor and hunt theme. Our king room was very spacious and featured […] a real wood burning fireplace, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The owner/hostess was very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quiet and nice"
Very nice but we like to be in town where there is more to see and walk to. I thought it would be a nice change for us and it was a lovely place. Could use some tlc to bring some life back to its former character but it has all the charm of an era gone by.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Classic Historic Vermont Inn"
Pleasant old Inn with very welcoming staff. Wonderful location on horse country. Many rooms with fireplace. Note: motel accommodations fairly plain. Ask for rooms on old buildings if you want the atmosphere. Also note no cell phone reception in the valley, but Inn has free wifi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Splendid VT Getaway"
My wife and I sought a B&B getaway in VT before the leafpeepers descended and because the Kedron Valley Inn was "pet friendly" we made a reservation with them. Because we did some homework on the Inn we were not surprised or disappointed to discover that our room was not in the main inn. People with pets stay in a motel-like structure behind the Inn. […] The room was very nice with 2 queen beds and a wood-burning fireplace. The room was spacious and very clean. The setting was beautiful with a small brook running through the property and a still pond a few yards away. The room was quiet and the grounds were quite well-maintained. The sole negative was the breakfast which was poor. I don't understand why something as simple as a hearty breakfast can't be arranged in situations such as this, but the muffins were the only items that we ate. Forget eating here and go into Woodstock and Eat at The Creamery or at the Woodstock Inn. We'd stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very Nice Stay!"
It was "move in" at Dartmouth last week, so couldn't get anything in Hanover/Lebanon area. So South Woodstock it was! I got in really late, so the inn manager gave me a room with a super comfy bed, got to love that. Was comfortable, clean, and the staff wonderfully pleasant. "Good introduction to Woodstock area"
My husband and I spent 3 nights here. We were happy to be outside the village of Woodstock in a small inn. Our room, #9, was on the second floor of the 1828 inn. Two chests of drawers, a queen bed, ottaman. reading lamps on bedside tables and a TV competed the room. Breakfast was good but I would have enjoyed variation from day to day. I enjoyed the […] porch and the pond. There is a country store just steps away. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Inn Located in a Little Slice of Heaven"
We had a scare the day we arrived: Hotels.com texted me and said the hotel would not be able to honor our reservation because of a large-scale power outage that had hit the entire region! But we went there anyway - we did not have a lot of options. And everything worked out fine. They had JUST finished making up our room and we are so glad they could […] take us. What a beautiful area of America. I went for two morning walks in the countryside and we laid out by the pond in the back. The two breakfasts (included) we had were superb with homemade muffins, breads, entrees. We plan on going back! Our only regret is that the restaurant was not up and running on our first night because of the power outage and so we did not get the chance to dine there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The inn was a short distance from downtown Woodstock in a nice neighborhood. Rooms were very clean, it was quiet at night, and staff were most accommodating. Coffee and tea were available all day. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Although there was plenty of food (except fresh fruit), the quality of the egg dishes was mediocre at best.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Woodstock was a stop over to another destination. The inn was chariming and th staff friendly. The rooms were done well with a nod to the old and the comfort and style of the new. Great having wifi, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Kedron Valley Inn - not totally what is advertized"
I found the Kedron Valley Inn nice only if you were staying the main building which is a quaint country home. My friend and I were placed however, in the Lodge building. There was nothing historic about it except for the dirty looking moss on the roof. The room was serviceable but bare of much decor and had none of the personal charm of the Inn itself. […] It looked like a motel room one could get anywhere. When we asked to switch rooms the Inn manager was unwilling to help and became hostile in attitude. The full breakfast was adequate but just above a continental one. The muffins served were day old and there was no fresh fruit even though it is mid summer. We would not recommend the Inn. as it was not the pleasant 19th century inn we thought we had booked. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely old inn"
The Kedron Valley Inn is a lovely old inn. I enjoyed my stay there. My original plan was to stay there for one night- after traveling in from PA- and then leave first thing in the morning for a two-day hike. However, the first day of the hike was rained out, so I stayed an extra day and night. The staff was very accommodating in setting me up with the […] extra night. I had a wonderful dinner there the first night, and the wait staff was very friendly. While my hike was rained out, I enjoyed the rain day at the inn and in Woodstock. I spent some time relaxing and reading on the porch of the inn and then walking around Woodstock. I would definitely return to this inn. I was alone, but this is an inn that would be nice for someone alone, couples, or families. The building is rustic, but the guest room is modern and well cared for with a vintage feel (hardwood floors, style of furniture). The upkeep of the property is excellent. "Beautiful place- lots of stairs!"
This is a beautiful inn, a few miles south of woodstock on a winding narrow road. There is a general store next to the inn in case you want some snacks or souvenirs. The breakfast buffet is excellent in both quality and selection, including home made blueberry pancakes and banana blueberry muffins on one morning. Drinks are reasonably priced in their […] charming small bar (which shuts down early!). Dining room is beautiful as well. Our room was up a flight and a half of winding stairs which was not the most convenient thing with all of our luggage, but the room was lovely and the ac worked great. "Very nice little getaway place"
I have driven through Woodstock, VT many times but have never spent the night there. I am so happy that I decided to stop by this Inn for a night! It is absolutely wonderful, quaint, and the CLEANEST place ever! The building we stayed in was built in 1828 I believe. We had a room on the second floor, and there were other rooms on a third floor that […] I could see. The floors are super old and uneven (there is heavy carpeting over the uneven spots), and the wood is beautiful and gleaming, and all of this adds to the charm of the place. The bathroom we had in our room was huge! And it was beautifully updated, all white, jacuzzi style large tub and stand up shower. The sunshine gleamed in through the windows (there are heavy wood blinds and blackout curtains over all windows). This place has been extremely well maintained. There is a large swimming pond outside the Inn with many chairs to sit and relax in. There are towels provided in the room for use with the pond. The breakfast that we had that was included in our stay was also amazing! Very, very delicious....you absolutely do not need to go out anytime soon after the amazing spread. My fiance and I will definitely be back for a longer stay in the near future, and I'm recommending my mom to go there too. Key points: make sure you have what you want/need before 5pm. There is a nice general store next door, but it closes early. The Inn is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Woodstock so it's pretty secluded. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Terrific b&b with outstanding food and service"
Stayed two nights in one of the pet friendly Lodge rooms with two beds and a fireplace. Very clean with updated bathroom. They even provided dedicated towels for our two dogs so we could wipe them down after walks. Main inn is very well maintained and beautiful to explore....gorgeous wrap around porch. Located about ten mins south of downtown Woodstock. […] Nothing to see or do in walking distance but again short drive to all the shops and restaurants in Woodstock. Quiet despite being on a main road.... not much traffic activity at all so never really noticed the road. However, what really distinguishes Kedron is the food and the service. Breakfast was delicious....several excellent choices every am...ate so well could practically skip lunch entirely. Also had dinner one night. Really wonderful. Sort of a French style with a Mediterranean flair. Flavors and presentation of all dishes were great. Get a table out on the porch for a true Vermont experience. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and took care of everything with a smile. Looks like they all enjoy working there and interacting with the guests. That's always a good sign. Would recommend to family and friends. Only tiny minus was that the beds were not quite as comfortable as other places we have stayed but certainly nothing that hindered sleeping, for sure. Very nice inn. Friendly, accommodating staff. We've stayed here at least five times and will continue to return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was wonderful! The room was perfect, the food was great, the staff was very friendly. The only negative was the lack of water pressure, but I guess that's to be expected for a very old house... We will definitely be going back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfy and clean, but no in-room phone service?"
My husband and I went for a romantic getaway at this B&B. First the good: Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious and nicely furnished. Down-filled pillows and bedding were cozy. Breakfast was very good in a sunny porch. Now for the unexpected: My husband, who has a sensitive nose, complained about an underlying musty scent. (I had a […] cold, so can't speak to this.) Some cosmetic roof work seems needed on one of the buildings. Although WI-FI is provided, we were surprised that there is no in-room phone service---either cell or landline. This may not be an issue for some, but I found this worrisome in the event of a medical or security emergency. A landline is available in the main building, a short walk away. "Lovely New England Inn with old-fashioned charm"
We stayed here overnight while on a short getaway. Had a comfy king-sized bed, and a fireplace with enough wood provided to give us a cozy fire for several hours. No "modern" conveniences like microwave or fridge in room, and actually no cell service either, but there is a phone in the lobby for free local and/or long distance calls, and WIFI. The bathroom […] was spotless, and stocked with small necessities. We were only a few miles away from Woodstock, a picturesque town with lots of interesting shops to browse through. After a free breakfast buffet in the inn's sunporch, we were on our way to spend a pleasurable few hours in Woodstock and then at the Quechee Gorge and nearby shops. Would absolutely stay here again.
