I won't recommend this hotel to anybody. The hotel is not clean and rooms are not good. My worst ever experience when stayng ina hotel out of my home.Rate was too high for the service provide and the hotel amenities.

Certainly should be geared only to the locals not for travelers. A furnished shack at best. No mirror, no bath mat, one stained towel per person, no wash cloths, two one ounce bars of soap, no refrigerator, two inch gap at the door, which consisted of a thin gauge metal garage door that does not hardly lock, a lamp with no light bulb, only a ceiling […] light, with sheer curtains at the windows, no coffee, no local store, no access to hotel beach, if you did, its a boat ramp and trashy, no real "beach" in area, not a place for traveling women, men stare at blonde hair women????? Rincon, area, what a joke too. I waited two years to think I wanted to go in this area, believe me, I will not be back. Stayed one night for a two, four hour nap that was suppose to be a six night stay. Then wanted to charged us for three days. Oh, and this was an upgraded room! What a waste of my time and money. Maybe, if this hotel wanted to appeal to American people, maybe it should engage on what we are expected to get for that star rating. This hotel I can stay is maybe a one not a three and a half for sure. Read more

First of all, this charming hotel is not the Ritz. BUT, you will never get a more compelling location. Get an ocean-front room and you can literally look over the balcony, straight down into the water. The rooms and hallways were very, very clean. Each ocean-front room had an outdoor seating area, which opened on to the next room's area, so they weren't […] necessarily private, but the view went for miles! The A/C/ took a little while to cool down the room, but it worked great...as did the TV. Lovely towels and soap were provided, but no shampoo, etc. We tried some of the Puerto Rican specialties in the hotel's restaurant for dinner, and they were good. Breakfast was great, and we sat out by the water to enjoy it. We have no complaints...and if we are ever back in the area, we would not hesitate to stay there. In fact, we might even return to Aguada just to stay in these great ocean-front rooms! Read more

The original room we were assigned had only one dim light, so we were moved to the "Villa" rooms, which were large, airy, and right on the ocean (instead of a shared balcony, our window looked DOWN at the surf. The location was outstanding if you want to be "on the ocean," and you could easily drive a few minutes to a few good beachside restaurants. […] However, the hotel room had an unfinished feel - no towel racks, no curtains (we hung up a sheet), no wastebaskets, no amenities, etc etc. We stayed four nights; the room was never made up by the time we returned after lunch. This place is spartan, but the location and price are outstanding! The place is clean, has a great shower, and good food on the premises. The owner seems to be a nice guy, but lacks an understanding of what it take to run a hotel. This is a family run hotel where the owners reside on the property. The property looks like it was nice at one time, but needs some clean-up to bring it back (remove lawn appliances and general cleanup). They upgraded us to a larger room free of charge because […] the room we booked was not available. The room had plenty of space and a nice view of the beach, but lacked all creature comforts that should come with a hotel room. There were no window coverings on the windows, so people walking by on the beach can look in. There were no towel bars in the bathroom. We had to ask for towels, they did not come with the room. No soap or shampoo was provided with the room. We brought some soap from the previous hotel with us and their house keeping threw it away on us! The closet in the room was huge, but had no hangers therefore was useless. There is No Mirrors in the bathroom! From a security standpoint, the rooms had no deadbolt or chain lock on the door. It would not take much to get into the room without a key. A few corrections on the booking information: Breakfast was not included and wireless internet was only available in the lobby. At $100 per night this hotel is way over priced, even $40 a night hotels give you towel bars and soap. This hotel could be very nice if they addressed the items above, but in its current state it is overpriced and cannot be recommended. Read more

I loved the stay at this quiet hotel. The owner of the hotel was the most nicest, comforting and helpful man. His breakfast was SOO AMAZING I had to steal the recipe for one of his plates. Had a great one night stay here at Hotel Colombus, and to think we got his place by default because everywhere else was sold out. We selected this hotel because we wanted to see the west coast of Puerto Rico for one night prior to staying in San Juan. Rincon was our target destination but everything was sold out so we grabbed a room at this quaint and […] peaceful hotel and it was exactly what we wanted! The hotel itself seemed a little run down on the outside (looks like there was formerly a pool and a bar outside that maybe once was a hot spot?). The owner who greeted us upon arrival was friendly and helpful. The place had that small local owned feel to it, which is what we were seeking. The best thing about this hotel is that when you fall asleep you hear the ocean. When you wake up you see it. Bright and blue and so peaceful - this is perfect for anyone looking to de-stress away from the hustle and bustle. The only thing I will note is that it's not a fancy hotel by any means. If you're looking for a Marriott or something fancier with luxury, this isn't your stop. If you're ok with the simpler things in life and a spot that will allow you to decompress from it all, this is it. I will note that it's a 20 minute drive from Rincon (the busier part of the southern surf town). I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Read more

Arrived at Aguadilla airport at the silly hour of 3:30 am but had called the hotel the day before and there was a taxi there to meet me as promised. The desk was closed when I got there a little after 4 but the security guard called the owner and I was shown to my room right away. Standard check in is 3 pm but my early arrival was wa coped with smoothly […] and there was no early check in fee added. It was very hot even at that early hour but the AC had the room cool quickly. A qick shower and a nap on nice crisp sheets erased the air travel weariness. I went down way past breakfast time but the owner, Fred, made fresh coffee for me and we had a nice chat. Every morning at home I walk a couple of miles and I did the same along the sandy beach from the hotel. Quiet area with little traffic and very safe. Several passers by waved or said "Hola." I had a nice steak and salad. Clean and comfortable restaurant with immaculate restroom. Menu prices are discounted 50% for hotel guests. Fred was so helpful that I will definitely be sending friends to Hotel Colombus. Read more

The owner is very friendly and quick to accommodate. This is a multi-generation mom and pop place. Most of the rooms are newly added/remodeled. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Wasser, was auch schon der einzige Pluspunkt ist. Der äußere Zustand des Gebäudes ist vor allem zur Seeseite desolat. Das Zimmer selber war sauber, jedoch hellhörig. Zur Verfügung gestellt bekommt der Gast lediglich 2 Handtücher. Keine Bodenleger, keine Seife. Das Einchecken war schwierig, da der Computer defekt war. Nach längerer […] Zeit (ohne dass einem ein Sitzplatz angeboten wird oder gar ein Getränk) bekamen wir endlich den Zimmerschlüssel. Keine Rechnung, keine Quittung, nichts. Wir hatten mit Frühstück gebucht und über Expedia im Voraus bezahlt, am nächsten Morgen war weder Personal noch Frühstück in Sicht. Entnervt gaben wir nach mehreren Anläufen um 09:00 Uhr auf, legten den Schlüssel ins Zimmer und verließen den unwirtlichen Ort. Unsere Empfehlung: Hände weg von diesem Hotel! Read more

Esta bueno si vas solo a dormir. Para empezar el baño es extremadamente pequeño, el balconcito tiene una mesa con unos banquitos donde no puedes sentarte porque sino se te quedan las piernas llenas de pintura seca (necesitan un retoque), el tv no funcionaba y la persona que se suponia que lo arreglaria jamas llego, y aunque esta a la orilla de la playa […] no puedes meterte por las piedras.....Suficiente para NO VOLVER....
