The staff were very nice and helpful, but the room was pretty outdated. It looked like it hadn't been updated in 30 years. But it was less expensive than other options and it was fine for a short stay.

The hotel has an outdoor swiming pool, where the water temperature in the middle of summer is 65F. Very appealing:) This does not make up for the fact that taking a shower is almost impossible with the tipe of faucets they have. Otherwise nothing wrong with this hotel, but not taking a shower was a big inconvenience for us.

It was terrible our worst stay in new Zealand. Old not at all looked after. We had 2 rooms neither had hot water and it was a very cold night. In one room the tap wouldn't turn off and obviously hadn't for a while as the sink was green. The man at reception was rather rude and not at all helpful. Paper thin walls means you can hear everything next door if that's what you're into. If you are on the bottom floor you'll be able to hear every footstep from the elephants upstairs. Do yourself a favour and just avoid this place.

Not bad for the price, we just stopped over for the one night. It was right by all the shops and just a short walk to the lake. Several lights in the room where out but other than that was ok. Went in expecting worse from previous reviews but was pleasently surprised after seeing the room ourselves.

We booked two budget rooms, however it was more budget than expected. Really dated, Hotel in general needs updating although we ate in the restaurant in the evening and the meal was good value for money

Decrepit, dirty and decaying. The walls of the shower were crumbling, the toilet floor mouldy and the carpet dirty. Stay at your own risk.

Hotel was old. The heater took ages to heat up, the room was freezing for the first 8 hours. The shower nob was tight that I had to knock it with my shoes. It was disappointing as I was expecting more based on its price. Might as well stayed in a backpackers.

We just stayed for one night and so it served a purpose and was cheap. For long term stay I would expect something better. The location is amazing, gorgeous and hard to match, but the hotel needs updating and has seen better days! To improve the hotel's provision without too much expense I would replace plastic, cigarette burned sinks, brighten up […] the decor and do a few basic repairs. The room was stuffy, hot, without a safe window to open (on ground floor with open access to a public area) and smelled of 'plug-in deoderiser'. It was delightful to be able to wake up and walk out to beautiful Lake Tekapo straight from the room. If the weather is good the swimming pool is a lovely bonus but is on view from all sides (bedrooms look out onto this). With some clever planting and design this could be improved. We were in room 101 which in our country is where you put stuff that is unwanted! Read more

We stayed in a Budget Room for one night. Thank goodness that's all it was as I would not have endured a second night in this room. The condition of hotel room (room 110) was appalling. The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was that horrible "motel air freshener" smell (which I haven't experienced for over 30 years), obviously trying to coverup […] the musty odour. The furnishings were from the 1960's, the orange carpet was threadbare, so much so, that there 3 floor mats strategically placed over the parts where it was so worn, you could see the floor boards. The bedspreads were faded and the cushion cover on one armchair was so worn it had a giant hole in it - showing the sponge! We were so disappointed with this room, we couldn't wait to get out of there. Having arrived so late in the day, we were too tired to go in search of alternative accommodation and luckily, it was only for one night. We dumped our bags and headed straight out again, the less time we spent in that horrible, depressing room, the better. We stayed out until it was bedtime, only returning to the room to sleep, not a very comfortable one at that, horrible flat pillows and a double mattress that slumped in the middle. The only saving grace was the single bed which was slightly more uncomfortable than the double bed. Next morning we were up early, showered and go out of there as fast as we could. I did give the reception desk my feedback but it was received with a blank stare. Read more

Perfect location. Need to be aware the cleanliness and facilities are motel, not hotel. Service standard of this place itself seems okay but night service was unprofessional (At night I found hot water wasn't available and called to a customer service for night calls. I gave them two options to either get another room available or get money reimbursed. […] He said the former wouldn't be available since it was too late so he took notes for the desk to prepare the latter option. Next morning, I was told they couldn't reimburse because I didn't ask them for another room at night. It was quite unprofessional that the agreed action wasn't fully communicated internally. Otherwise, they should have recorded and clarified the process of why we reached to that action, or voice recorded the whole conversation to trace everything.) Read more

陽気なおばさんが対応してくれる田舎のモーテル。木造の建物は年季が入っており、無論エレベーターなどない。ベランダは隣室とつながっていて行き来もできる。ホテルの裏は公園でテポカ湖まで続くので、ベランダからの眺めはよい。ホテルは20件ばかりの店や観光案内所がかたまる小さな街の中心の一角にあり、買物、飲食には便利。観光名所の教会も徒歩圏。夜間は街灯もまばらなので、星空が素晴らしく、天の川もはっきり見える。静寂の一夜が楽しめる。
