Best Western Peacock Hotel - Kenilworth

We are returning guests and are already booked for another visit later on in June. I cannot fault the hospitality at this hotel, it is only small and yes we could all pick holes in it - oh look a loose tile/ stain on the carpet etc but for what this hotel charges, I actually do not think anyone can complain, we paid less than a Travel lodge for 2 of […] us, we had a parking space, a comfortable very clean room and a fabulous breakfast what more do you want? Although from the outside this hotel looks a little tired it was unexpectedly good in all aspects. The rooms were well appointed with every conceivable accessory - iron, hair dryer etc. The staff were more than helpful and I would certainly book this place in the future

Hotel rooms etc fine.. Problem with booking as hotels.com advertised inclusive breakfast which hotel denied was the case. Hotels.com have since apologised and said it was their mistake but the issue was not handled sensitively by the hotel who raised payment for breakfast in a public area (the restaurant) which was embarrassing and unnecessary as it […] was clearly an issue between the hotel and it's agent. The hotel did not eventually charge for breakfast but this did not make up for the way in which the guest was treated. Read more

Be warned: our room was nothing like any of the ones in the photos. It was small, tired and tatty (chipped, mahogany effect chipboard furniture and a strange musty smell). Our air con was broken so our room was unbearably hot all night. The wifi wasn't working. The car park was very tight but just about usable. Despite booking for two people, we were […] only given one towel and had to request a second one. The bed had only two (flat) pillows, although we were able to find two more (tatty) pillows in the wardrobe. On the plus side, the staff were polite (if indifferent - we thought our booking included breakfast but it was a 'computer says no' situation). I was given a sub standard room that was dirty, blinds were dusty, the bathroom was tiny little plastic cubicle, there were damp patches on the ceiling and wall paper was cracked and lifting of the wall. We found the room nice and had all we needed for the night. We ate in the Coconut Lounge and had a wonderful South Indian meal. It was delicious and a nice breakfast along with a lovely chat with the Indian lady who served us ,about her country.
