"Comfortable rooms and helpful staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 5, 2013
Rooms were very comfortable but relatively expensive compared with other places in romania of similar standard. Not that easy to find if you arrive at night so worthwhile asking for directions.
"Great Option in Brasov"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 5, 2012
This hotel is located right on the main square in the historic old town area of Brasov...it's a short walk to all the main sites. The room was very clean and had nice rustic decor; the bathroom was very modern and a good size. Best of all, the hotel staff was extremely helpful, offering restaurant and tour recommendations and helping arrange taxis. Overall, I highly recommend Casa Wagner if you're taking a leisure trip to Brasov.
"New hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 10, 2012
I had a very pleasant stay at Hanul Domnesc. The hotels seems to be brand new and it has lots of nice dark woodwork throught out. If you are a tall person you might want to watch your head as some of the doorways and angled walls are kind of short. is not in a great location but taxis are very unexpensive and can drive you to the center for about 10 lei (<3 us dlls). The food was great and I mean GREAT. I am not a big fan of romanian food, but this one had a special touch and was very well prepared and garnished.

Not as close to Castle Bran as I had thought. Could use A/C in summer.
"historic site in former pharmacy"Reviewed by mike r of "staten island, new york" on Oct 28, 2011
the hotel can have no structural changes, as it has national preservation trust status as one of the citys first pharmacies. it exudes an old world charm. such means, however, that there is no elevator, and if you have a room on the third floor (with a great view), you need to climb 59 stairs. in addition, the hotel is located up a very steep hill. it would be ideal for people arriving by car, but for the train traveller, its location can be inconvenient. from the train station, take bus number 4 to the sixth stop. upon departure, turn right, walk about 150 meters, and then look for a fork turning up,. other than the climb, though, the hotel is top rate.
