Olde Staunton Inn - Staunton

Inn was perfect, breakfast delicious, manager/inn keeper was engaging/polite/interesting without being intrusive, inn was located well within walking distance to charming downtown area. Steer clear of the smallest bed/bedroom in the inn as it accommodates only very short persons (we transferred to another room w/o issue).

Our stay at the Olde Staunton Inn was exemplary. The innkeeper accomodated us with a late check-in, was helpful with directions and attractions, and makes a great breakfast! Our room was clean and comfortable. This was a wonderfully charming B&B and Dave was a most gracious host. We could not more highly recommend The Old Staunton Inn as a great alternative to the cookie cutter hotels between Harrisonburg and Staunton.

We did not have enough time to enjoy the beauty of the 100+ year old home, its comfortable living room and inviting library! Olde Staunton Inn is within walking distance of all downtown locations. Library/Study, Living Room and Bedroom were all very nice. Our first B&B so not sure what concerns there are when staying at a B&B.

Very personable innkeeper. Good, ample breakfast. Near historic district and someday will be next to the Shakespeare Theatre. Third floor rooms are up steep stairs to what used to be the attic so if you have trouble with steps don't book up there.

David the Innkeeper was a most gracious host, providing fine breakfasts, helpful advice to the area, and even supplying for a forgotten hair-dryer. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and the location is in easy walking distance to most downtown places.

I stayed at the Olde Staunton Inn for the first time last weekend. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by David, the proprietor. He was very thorough in his tour of the house, including a three flight walk up steep stairs to show us our room. This is a grand old house, tastefully and artfully upgraded with modern conveniences and historic woodwork […] and art pieces. A welcoming front porch is accompanied by a grand sitting room and a beautiful library for public comforts. Our room, one of the best in the house, was a large converted attic apartment, complete with private bath done in stone and tile, and an excellent king-sized bed. The next day, we were treated to a large breakfast spread prepared by David himself, including a large spread of cereals, fresh fruits, great coffee, a home-made turkey and broccoli quiche, and home-made freshly baked muffins and scones. David is masterful with his orange and cranberry scone recipe, apparently a personal passion of his. They were hot, full of flavor, and simply wonderful. I must say, this was one of the most enjoyable, comfortable, and relaxing B&B stays I've had. David has a beautiful home, and offers a warm, hospitable, and genuinely friendly B&B experience. In town for business meetings, and I found solitude and quiet at this Inn, excellent hospitality from David, the Innkeeper, and very comfortable accommodations. Plenty of food for breakfast, and the "to go" coffee cups were great for me. Very fine restaurants in walking distance to the Inn. The house […] is inviting with two lovely common area rooms on the first floor to enjoy. I'll use this Inn again. From check-in to breakfast to the great bed we had, Olde Staunton Inn is a great spot. David, the Innkeeper, was very accommodating with our late arrival time (we got sidetracked coming down Skyline Drive). The William Beverly Room was spacious and was full of great furniture (awesome bed!) and a great bathroom and tub. The breakfast spread was wonderful--ripe, […] local pears, homemade quiche and banana bread, muffins, juice, hot coffee...couldn't have asked for more.
