This hotel is a fairley new build so is in good condition. Rooms were clean and spacious with differnt levels of size & charges. I never took breakfast, just nipped over to Oxxo store and had a large Cappuccino with a muffin. Located right in front of ferry terminal to Isla Mujeres which is a beautiful island to visit. Buses @ 8.5 pesos & minivan transporters @ 6 pesos were plentiful until 9pm after that taxi required. Taxi from downtown was around 30 pesos, but 200-250 pesos to to the all inclusive Hotel strip but why go there! Food and drink is cheap in downtown area, Ave Yaxchillan was my favourite place to eat and drink La Taberna my fav 2 for 1 bar where food is also good. Do not be put off by trucks going round with police standing with machine guns in the back ready for action, I never came across any problems in the 2 weeks I was there and I wandered around downtown at night. Mini Bus with A/C to Puerto del Carmen(very nice) is only 30 pesos for the hour long trip, then for 40 pesos you can take another bus to Tullum ruins(another hour away) from Playa del Carmen. It is only 48 pesos entry to the ruins so for a total of 120 pesos you see the ruins do not use tour operators. You could do the same for Chichen Itza probably but I took the 550 pesos tour operated one with friends. Some of the trips are very expensive(100$) Xplore,Xcaret etc not sure they are worth it.

good hotel at a resonable price. A little away from the big hetels so taxi or buses needed to travel. friendly staff

The Posada del Mar is the most wonderful hotel in Isla Mujeres and we can't wait to go back next year... I am going back every year for the rest of my life ! Best rooms are on first or second floor overlooking the lovely swimming pool. Very spacious rooms , comfortable beds, charming staff and the most perfect beach just across the road. The staff are all adorable especially Romi who makes the most delicious margaritas in the world, We loved Victor too and Juan and Ismail who brought us divine mojitos straight to our sunbeds on the beach. Heaven on earth ! It is a good idea to book in advance as we did and you have a discount if you pay in advance. Some people seemed to think they could just turn up and were quite cross or disappointed when there were no rooms available. Isla Mujeres is not fancy... thank god but very laid back and genuinely , authentically Mexican. If you expect a manicured, very exclusive , in my opinion bone crushingly boring type of place go somewhere else. Posada del Mar is my idea of perfect bliss .

The rooms are really big, with view to the ocean. The beach and the pool are great. Doesn't seem like 3 stars hotel, but more.

"Unaccountable front staff"
They are not ready to handle the customers properly. Many disconnect to the other departments result in the inconvenience for customers. Room was not ready and we had to eait 2 hours. Phone was transferred to too many persona and nobody explained well about the hotel.

hotelkamers zijn aan renovatie toe,de junior suite was ruim maar wat verouderd,genoeg restaurants maar kwaliteit niet altijd optimaal,voedsel wordt niet voldoende opgewarmd,het mexicaanse restaurant is ons het meeste bevallen.Het beste aan dit hotel is uiteraard het mooie propere strand en de prachtige swimming pools.

"Iberostar Cancún"
O Hotel tem uma atmosfera espetacular, praia com boa extensão, mar azul límpido do Caribe; excelente área das piscinas, a maior com borda infinita e aquecida com três ótimos bares,um restaurante de praia e outro de piscina.Os outros quatro restaurantes, com exceção do Maguey de comida mexicana, tem excelentes opções com ótimos serviços. O Hotel está […] em uma área tranquila da Hotel Zone, a poucos minutos dos shoppings, com muita privacidade, tudo muito limpo,esforçada equipes de animadores (Eddie sempre muito simpático), ideal para famílias.O restaurante Laguito é o maior com ampla variedade de cardápios para todos os gostos,mudavam os nove dias que lá fiquei, com o comando eficiente do maitre Santiago.Minha estadia era para um apto standard, porém a recepção do hotel me acondicionou nas villas, ocean view, um ótimo upgrade sem custo adicional,pois o hotel estava lotado.Recomendo o hotel a todos que procuram um lugar com serviço atencioso, boa privacidade com bom nível de entretenimento e conforto que incluem golf e spa. "ホテル側に予約が通っていなかった？！"
到着してフロントでまず最初に発生した事。それはhotels.comからの予約がきちんと通っていなかった事。コンファームの必要無い、と言われていたが、一応予約した際のページを印刷して持参してよかった。 時間を要したが、なんとかチェックインできた。 夜間到着便であったため、一時はどうなるか？と心配した。 滞在中は天候にも恵まれ、素晴らしい時を過ごせたが、ルーム内Internetが期間中壊れているとかで使えなかった事、シャワーブースがきちんと閉じられず、どうしても洗面廻りが汚れてしまうことなどが残念でした。 ビーチ、というよりプールの充実度はかつて経験した事が無い程。プールに浸りながらトロピカルカクテルやアルコールを楽しめる（朝10時から！）というのが凄かった。
