"Comfortable hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 25, 2012
We were satisfied with the hotel, eventhough it was not a large one, but we got a family suite which was really nice and comfortable enough to accomodate 4 of us, 3 adults and 1 child. There were 2 bathrooms and 2 tvs with cable. eventhough the rooms are not so large but we found it good enough for our stay. The receptionists were doing their best, so were other staffs. We also found out that the hotel sold a little less expensive on the city tours than other hotels around. Breakfast was just OK, not too many selection, but we were fine with that, and the waiter was very attentive, he also very kind to my son. Nearby there were family store and a small restaurant that sold great and very inexpensive banh mie (french bread sandwich). Overall, I would recommend others to stay in this hotel.

"Quiet retreat"Reviewed by Rene of "Herts UK" on Apr 14, 2012
weretreat we were very pleased with this hotel. It is out of the city but the hotel runs a speed boat into the centre which was much more fun than taking a taxi. The hotel itself is very serene with a beautiful pool at the rear and a terrace overlooking the river at the front. Our room was rather small and the curtains are flimsy and do not keep out the light. The hotel is about to undergo a refurbishment and provided the prices stay the same I think that it will be a great place to stay and would highly recommend it to travellers who prefer together away from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh city.
"The Vien Dong can't be wrong!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 3, 2012
My family had a good time here, on our third stay at this hotel, especially when we were on the 9th floor. It was nice to come back to this hotel and see many of the same staff working. They will take good care of you. Comfortable rooms (we stayed in Deluxe).
"Pleasantly Surprised!"Reviewed by Paul S of "England" on Mar 29, 2012
We stayed at this hotel for three nights and after reading the reviews before going, and we were pleasantly suprised. The Hotel was clean bright and in a central location. The Hotel was well staff by enthiastic help people, most of whom spoke some English. Their tour booking guy was extremely helpful booing us a couple of good keenly priced tours, as well as giving a couple of excellent recomendations for placed to go for evening meals. There was a really good spread for breakfast, which was mostly Vietnamese and Chinese food. However tthere was hot tea and coffee, toast, marmalade, ham and even hot fried eggs to be found, but they are spread out a bit between the noodles. The only down points I found: was the rooms were just a little smaller than expected and the shower, which was spotlessly clean lacked real hot water. Would I go and stay there again - Yes!

Close to Ben thanh market. Hotel staffs not very friendly. Took us few minutes to wake the receptionist up from his sleep to check us out at 7.15am. Breakfast loaded with MSG
Good location, frindly and very helpful service.
