Jaiwana Haveli - Udaipur

Nothing fancy, but clean as a whistle and super close to all the major attractions. Hotel staff went above and beyond. Restaurant is good and reasonable. Don't let the 3 star rating fool you, this hotel is run better than some 5 star places.

Excellent hotel. probably the best 3 stars hotel I’ve ever been in India. Located extremely well in the heart of the city. Rooms a bit small but very clean and very convenient. We booked a double and a triple room for one night, and everything was ready when we arrived. The rooms were small but comfortable. The view from the rooftop restaurant was amazing. The staff were helpful.

We stayed here for 1 week & when we left it was like leaving friends behind. The hotel is in an awesome location less than 10 mins walk from City Palace with great views over the lake from the terrace & the loveliest wait staff & great food int the restaurant. We were greeted politely & warmly every time we came in & out. Our room was basic & comfortable, […] clean & secure & quite large. Nearby are cooking classes & massages, you can walk into the main market/shopping areas of Udaipur in 15/20 mins. Words fail to explain the welcome given and caring staff at this hotel, the location is fantastic and the rooms spotless. The pooling of tips for staff works well and is pleasant respite from the rest of India, The view from the bar/restaurant must be one of the best in India

Fantastic location, great staff and right price. Yash was very friendly and very helpful in guiding you about the city. Our room was overlooking the lake and the hotel is right next to the city palace and Bagore ki haveli, which is fantastic!!!

Great views from the rooftop restaurant - bright clean rooms, all well cared for. A basic amenities haveli - but it had everything we needed. Hash and Yash the brothers who took care of us were most helpful. The decoration of the haveli is tasteful .. the only drawback is outside the haveli.. lots of barking dogs at night and noisy rickshaws in the […] earlier evening. We were booked in for 3 nights based on internet reviews and website. The room was clean but disappointingly small and very basically furnished. We could see the lake from part of our window but could not enjoy it because lifting blinds meant we were in direct view of across lane windows and people at nearby rooftop restaurants. Deciding to get over […] the lack of correlation between website room images ("elegantly appointed" is an exaggeration) and the spartan reality, and impressed by the efficient check in service on arrival, we decided to stay. The room received all noise from street, lobby , stairs and corridor. Guests made their way to and from roof top restaurant and checked in and out with every sound reaching our room, both late at night and early morning . This was the decider and, with no better room available, we chose to move to nearby and superior Jagat Niwas. It must be said that management did try to help, although we were told matter-of-factly that an image of our room was on the website (I can not see it - we had only windows on one side that faced the laneway). The rooftop restaurant was clean, food was good and view wonderful. Udaipur is a fascinating place to visit but like much of India, descriptions and information are generally unreliable. We were prepared to pay for the standards and quality we wanted and Jaiwana Haveli did not live up to the impression generated on the website. Good location, good restaurant, good service but our room was characterless and unbearably noisy. Read more

Das Hotel bietet in Mittelklasse alles, was man wünscht, inkl. einem Restaurant auf Dachterasse mit Blick auf den See. Das Personal ist aufmerksam. Die Lage ist etwas laut durch den Straßenlärm. Gute Nähe zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Dette hotellet er bra valuta for pengene. Personalet er veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Restauranten har en utrolig flott utsikt over Udaipur og til Taj Palace Hotel, med god mat til gunstige priser. Rommene er rene og har god størrelse. Jeg anbefaler absolutt dette hotellet.

Wir waren nicht in den berühmten Zimmern 11, 21 und 31 (ich glaube, das sind die Zimmer die in den Reiseführer gelobt werden); wir waren in ein Nebengebäude mit steilem Treppe, hatten aber ein einfaches aber konfortables Zimmer mit schönem Seeuferblick.
