This was a very good, cost effective and convenient hotel to stay in, so much so that I booked two additional rooms for other members of my family, it was also located relatively close to a reunion that we were all going to.We were all very happy with our stay at this hotel and would reccomend it with confidence to anyone.

hotel wasvery nice. however, hotels.com created a problem in this booking as they notified the hotel that only three guest were coming instead of 5! when we arrived at midnight u can only imagine how unhappy we were to discover this problem.

This is the second time that my daughter (14 years old) and I stay at the Galeria Plaza. Our week at the hotel was as pleasant as the 10 days we spent in 2010. The service is impecable. It was cold when we arrived to Mexico City last week and though the heating was not working we were given a heater immediately. We were slightly disappointed not to have the scented pillows and free café on the floor. The hotel location is just ideal. Try the roof sun lounge as it has a view of the Angel and is always very quiet and pleasant. Breakfast is good, I don't have the buffet as a rule but the a la carte menu is great and the fruit is excellent. I highly recommend the Galeria Plaza.

"Toilet Issues"
Overall, I had a good experience. I stayed for 5 nights. My only issue was that there was one or two days during which toilet paper seemed to be scarcely available in the bathrooms. I could have mentioned something to the staff , but chose not to because I did not feel like I should have had to do so. It was mainly during my first two nights there - […] bathrooms were a little untidy too. I believe it was due to the fact that, at that particular time, there were many guests. I think the staff should also post signs to NOT flush the toilet paper since, at times, the plumbing system seemed to be unable to handle it. My suggestion to the management would be to do a better job of policing the facility when there is such a full house. Otherwise, the staff was wonderful and I feel I received good value for my money. If I ever return to Mexico City, I would have no problem staying here again. Read more

Pase una sola noche en este hostal, estuve en transito por Mexico, Excelente atencion de parte del personal de recepcion, muy atentos a las preguntas especificas y a brindar la mejor ayuda. Muy limpio y organizado lugar, centrico y accesible. 100% recomendable! Carlos.
Muy buena ubicacion, a solo unas cuadras del zocalo y muy seguro para caminar de noche, Sali con mi novia a buscar tacos a las 11pm y no tuvimos ningun problema en la calle, solo que a esa hora ya casi nada esta abierto… El edificio esta muy padre, el personal es amable y nos atendieron con una sonrisa y te pueden aconsejar a donde ir sin ningun problema. los […] baños estaban limpios, y hasta me gusto como los tienen ubicados. Incluyen un desayuno que la verdad no es nada agradable, pero lo bueno es que saliendo del hostal pueden encontrar muchísimas opciones para una mejor comida y economica. lo que no me gusto para nada, es que los colchones de las camas están super delgados y puedes sentir las tablas en la que duermes y amanecer con dolor de espalda… Read more

"Hostel Centro Historico Regina sehr Zentral"
Ich habe drei Nächte in einem Einzelzimmer im Hostel Centro Historico Regina verbracht. Das Personal an der Rezeption war immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Je nachdem wer gerade Dienst hatte war das Englisch mal besser oder auch nicht. Ich hatte jedoch nie Probleme mich zu verständigen. Es gibt auf den Etagen jeweils ein Bad für Männer und eines für […] Frauen. Während meines Aufenthalts war dieses auch immer sauber. 3 Waschbecken, 4 Duschen, 2 Toiletten und 2 Pissoirs. Das Frühstück ist im Preis inbegriffen und kann in der angeschlossenen kleinen Bar eingenommen werden. Es gab jeden Tag etwas anderes zu Essen und zu Trinken immer Orangensaft. Die Lage des Hostels ist sehr Zentral; man ist in 5-10min zum Zucola gelaufen und auch zur nächsten U-Bahnstation ist man in 10 Minuten gelaufen. Direkt neben dem Hostel ist ein OXXO-24h-Markt dort kann man kleine Snacks und Getränke bekommen. Nebenan ist eine Apotheke. Auf der anderen Seite gibt es auch einen Schnapsladen. Auf der Dachterasse des Hostels wird jedoch daraf hingewiesen, dass man keine alkoholischen Getränke oder zumindest Bier mitbringen, sondern direkt dort kaufen soll um den Betrieb zu unterstützen. In der Umgebung gibt es auch verschiedene Lokale. An der Rezeption kann man auch verschiedene Ausflüge buchen, ich habe einen nach Teotihuacán gebucht. Bei meinem Zimmer gab es jedoch auch zwei negative Aspekte, zum Einen war es nie ganz dunkel obwohl ich die Vorhänge zugezogen hatte und zum Anderen war es relativ laut am späten Abend, da vor dem Hostel verschiedene Lokale sind und die Fenster nicht dicht schließen. Insgesamt war ich mit dem Hostel jedoch sehr zufrieden und würde auch bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt wieder hier übernachten. Read more

Son todos muy amables y serviciales. Atienden las consultas de buen modo. El lugar es muy acogedor y ordenado. Las instalaciones sanitarias son modernas y limpias. La ubicación para moverse es inmejorable. Es un lugar altamente recomendable.

Las personas son muy sinpaticas y amables. La ubicacion es perfecta. El edificio esta bonita y limpia. Me prestaron toalla para la ducha y me ayudaron mucho si necesitaba.
