We stayed one night at Llangoed Hall in October. First and foremost: the staff are tops. They saw to our every need and could not have been nicer. The public rooms were enjoyable and the evening fire took the chill off nicely. However, the bedroom had seen better days, begging for a facelift. The bathtub (with hand held shower) presented difficulty. Even with the negative, I would happily stay here again.

We found our room at this hotel to be very comfortable and the amenities to be all you would expect in a hotel of this age. The service was excellent and the owner was very accommodating. The breakfast was very good and cooked to perfection.

This was a real treat. We weren't sure what to expect when we found ourselves going up a long dirt/gravel driveway, but when we arrived, this 16th century house was beautiful. The room was large for a B&B and the owners very helpful with detailed directions to old welsh churches. It's very close to hiking trails and several very good dining pubs. Be forwarded though, it's out in the boonies with nothing around. The nearest pub is about a mile away. We loved it and wished we had planned to stay longer.

Of the 9 different hotels we stayed at in England and Wales this was by far the best, a real jewel. Big comfortable rooms, nice lounge, great food. This is really more of a B&B experience than a mere hotel. Would gladly return for a longer visit.
