"Friendly owner, great restaurant, wonderful rooms"

We arrived around 8am via local bus at Goreme bus station, and headed to the tourist information booth who helped us contact the hotel. The hotel's MPV arrived within 5 mins to pick us up, and the friendly owner informed us that our room was ready, thus allowing us to freshen up before our tour at 9.30am. They also liaised with the tour agency that we booked with (based in Istanbul) and the local Cappadocia tour agency to update us on our timings and itinerary. After our tour which ended around 6pm (including Whirling Devish additional portion), we headed to the restaurant which was famous for its Turkish pottery meat dishes. The food was excellent and very flavourful. After dinner, the night was still young and we spoke with the owner who was heading to Avanos. He gave us a ride to Avanos and introduced us to Mado ice cream. After which, we headed back to the room to crash. The room was very spacious, with two bedroom areas. The shower also had 2 shower heads, which is really nice for couples on honeymoon. The bathroom amenities were also pretty decent. Bed was decent. Room was cosy with nooks in the cave for reading corners. It is after all a cave hotel, but heating was sufficient and we still got our creature comforts. On the next day, after our tour, we had some time before our shuttle bus to Nevsehir airport, and the owner gave us a lift to the main town area for some shopping and dinner. He even gave us his number to call him in case we got lost, and he helped to recommend and make reservations for a pide restaurant. However, the main town area is actually pretty near, like 10 mins walk, so quite convenient to walk back on our own. Though we only stayed for one night, but it seems we managed to accomplish so many things. The hotel has only 8 rooms, thus the owner really takes care of his guests. Book early especially during peak season.
"Made quick friends with the owner and his crew"

We spent 1 night at the Pasa Suite room and felt that the owner, Emin and his crew really went out of his way to make sure that all his guests felt at home. We arrived here at 8 AM after a 10 hours bus ride and were immediately shown to our room (instead of making us wait till 12) so that we could freshen up before our tour started at 9AM. I was pleasantly surprised to see a full set of toiletries in the bathroom, especially since all the others had offered only shampoo. Emin told us that their restaurant is famous for its pottery kebab, and we were not disappointed. The lamb was succulent & melted in one's mouth, while the chicken was very tastey. He even showed us to, and helped make reservation at another restaurant after we mentioned that we wanted to try something new. Overall a wonderful home away from home experience.

The unique and historic outlay of the Nostalji hotels makes this a must do on your trip in Goreme. The rooms were esthetically done and very comfortable with all modern amenites and the bathrooms were clean with amazing hot water showers. The staff was very cordial and helpful. The restaurant upstairs served some delicious house wine and authentic Turkish food. In the early morning, there is a spectacular view of the hot air balloons taking off from Cappadoccia. I will highly recommend this place!

The Nostalji is wonderful. We were greeted very warmly, showed to a fabulous room, and can't wait to dine in the restaurant. It is tastefully appointed and clean as can be. Beautiful view from the balcony. Feeling lucky to be here.
"Fantastic View with Cave Experience"
Very different experience to stay in a cave hotel. Hotel located high up compared to others and gives a fantastic view. Room was good and amenities provided were essential. Breakfast in package was a little short of expectations. Only 1 egg was given per guest in your preferred style, aside from the breads, fruit plate and jams. Overall good experience indeed.

We travelled as a group of 9 family and friends and occupied four unique rooms. Each room had a character and story to tell. One had a double shower, another a jacuzzi while others had functional hamam sinks. A charming cave suite with a hospitable and professional staff. Breakfast was a treat with an incredible view of what Cappadocia has to offer. We will definitely return to this hotel soon.
"Perfect intimate hotel in the rocks..."

I loved this place! It's up near sunset point in a writer, intimate part of the town. This is a small village of only 2000 people. And it was only years ago that people started turning their homes into hotels. There are now about 110 in small, compact Cappadocia. So there are many choices starting from the top hotel at 5000 euros per night where Nicholas Cage stayed. I went by several and did not company that I would have preferred staffing in. Food is excellent. Staff is excellent. Attention is great. And rooms are not only great but fun. Highly recommended. You'll enjoy your stay and feel like family.

"Cave hotel: it's a taste"

My partner and I stayed in this cave hotel two nights. Staying in a cave is a taste, but not mine. I can see that many people would find it charming and quaint; I found it more strange than charming. Our particular room (Pigeon) was nicely put together, with a very comfortable bed, and with a little den with a great view up a spiral staircase. The bathroom was pretty nice, BUT there was a very unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom, and as we heated up the rooms, the odor got stronger and more unpleasant. It smelled kind of like a backed up drain. The staff member we asked about it said it was a problem in all the rooms, and that people put up with it because they wanted to stay in a cave hotel. I put up with it because I didn't know what else to do; they would not move us because they said they were full. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the breakfast was good. Be aware, there are a lot of steps, some of them narrow and slippery. The wifi signal was strong and worked very well. This hotel is very well located, a 5 minute walk from the center of town where there are lots of restaurants and tour companies which can arrange for sightseeing in the area.
