The hotel overall was very nice, room was reasonable, common areas were lovely, dinner was very very good, service in the dining room was excellent. But I have to say this was the tiniest shower we encountered the whole trip - it was 27-inches square! The whole bathroom in general was a bit too small. Now granted, in Sicily, obesity is pretty much non-existent, and the people are smaller of stature in general, but a typical American male would be bumping elbows in this shower, and I can't imagine how an overweight American would fare in there. Front desk staff were just a bit chilly - nothing I could put a finger on, but just to say we enjoyed "warmer" at other hotels. It was very good for the price though, and no regrets.

We loved this hotel--it was lovely in every regard including its not-in-the-city location from which to visit the Valley of the Temples outside of Agrigento. We LOVED the balcony area attached to the rooms. It was a great place to relax in the evening with a bottle of wine. We used the latitude-longitude coordinates from which to find the hotel, which helped because the location is a little off the beaten path.

Pros: The hosts were really nice, and tried their best to make us comfortable. Cons: Agrigento was a ghost town, even on weekends. Furthermore, the Valle Dei Templi is not worth visiting at night, since no public transit exists, including taxis.

Hat man sich erst einmal nach Agrigento vorgearbeitet und dann in dieser undurchsichtigen Stadt das Hotel ausfindig gemacht, braucht man Erholung. Und die findet man durchaus im "Dolce Vita". Die jungen Betreiber sind wahnsinnsfreundlich und sehr flexibel. Die Zimmer jenseits vom Einheitsbrei: bezaubernd pompös ausgestattet und geräumig. Das Hotel selbst […] liegt recht versteckt und ist nur über viele Treppen zu erreichen. Frühstück wird auf den schönen Zimmern serviert, man bestellt am Abend zuvor. Es kamen dann zwar doch andere Dinge, aber man merkt die Mühe und daher stört es nicht. Ein guter Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Durchatmen, wobei man in dieser Stadt selbst sicher nicht lange bleiben wird. Erstaunlich, dass sich ein solches Hotel überhaupt in einer Stadt wie Agrigento befindet. Read more
