"Very nice hotel"
The hotel is really nice for the price. We stayed here because our friend lives close by. Otherwise, I don't think I would stay here because it is a bit far from Bangkok's main attractions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was clean and seemed secure. Staff was pleasant and efficient, English was poor but able to communicate through gestures. Far from town center but taxi is inexpensive so it evens out with low cost of stay. Morning breakfast is not worth it even though its included. I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Trendy style but out of the way"
My friends & I stayed here for one week during a trip to Bangkok. The hotel itself had a nice ambiance & trendy decor. My room was very clean & housekeeping was great. My only complaint would be with the older front desk clerk who worked in the evenings. He was extremely rude, never said greeted us, and made it seem like we were an inconvenience to […] him whenever we had a question. Additionally, he told us there was no train station within walking distance, which there was. On a final note, I would recommend this place for a short stay but not for long term exploration of the city. PS if you do stay here I would recommend Touch Cafe down the street from the hotel, their coffees are fantastic! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"not bad, but not again."
Room was clean. The main issue with the hotel was that the whole hotel would shake from the traffic. It was amazing, like being in a earthquake...the bed would sway every few mins. I told the reception and they were aware, but there was nothing they could do. Also it is too far from all the the main areas like silom.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent quality. Recommended."
For a two day stop over in Bangkok. Hotel is very new and the attention to detail in the design of the furnishings and appointments is excellent. Best shower - steaming hot! Hotel is very clean and food is generally great - when they understand your order... (Staff English language skills are not as good as some of the more central hotels in Bangkok). […] But overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at M2 - a welcome bit of respite and qualilty in a sometimes exhausting city. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Ron & Pauline"
The hotel staff were very helpful speaking reasonable English. All facilities were clean and comfortable, breakfast was a little disappointing with food not being hot,it had Asian and American . Being rocked to sleep has a whole new meaning with the building rocking after 9pm with large trucks allowed to enter Bangkok Central, this shouldn't put you […] off just another experience. The local area is light industrial with very good street food on offer. The staff will hail a metered taxi and tell them your destination, there is a train and sky rail within 15 minutes walk. "Good hotel, not walking distance to markets & malls"
The entire hotel and room was excellent. I stayed in room 509. The whole building we guess was actually shaking cause it closes to the bridge. "Great hotel I would recommend"
Great for a few nights to get some sleep. Rooms are big snd comfortable in fact very considering the very reasonable prices.Genuine Expedia guest review
As stated above, the cleanliness and the comfort is not an issue at all. The problem is the location of the Hotel. It is not convenient at all. We really need to take a taxi instead of walking (stated in the website it is a walking distance to Chatucak weekend market) to MoChit skytrain station in order for us to proceed on to other malls. And on top […] of that, some taxi drivers do not know how to get to the hotel, which i find it weird. Because of that, we were conned by the taxi driver and he brought us to some dark alley and we had to walk back to our Hotel in the night. Due to this, we were afraid to get back to hotel at night and decided to end our shopping session early everyday. Overall, i would love to go back to Bangkok for more shopping sessions but not to the same Hotel. Thankyou. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"not happy with stay"
The hotel website lied and said it was "conveniently located by the airport and BTR train station" when it was an hour taxi ride to the airport and 20 min walk to the train station. The breakfast was not fresh, the rooms are too small, the hotel smells like people are smoking in the hallways, the customer service was not up to its reputation, the location […] was terrible as no taxis would want to take you that far north of the city, the beds were uncomfortable and it was just a bad experience in general. I will not be staying here next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"good room but zero service"
I stayed in the hotel for 1 night before departing to samui on the 17th nov. The hotels location is a big problem. Thought if we ould have hired a cab from swarnbhumi it wold have costed us 1500thb. However we took an express train from the international airport to phaya thai the red line it costed only 90thb per person from there we changed over to […] bts green line to mo chit (chatachuk market station) the last station which was only 30thb. From there we hired a cab for the hotel which costed us only 80thb. Now the problem is the address for the hotel says dindaeng whereas dindaeng is somewhere else and the taxi guy took us all around different places. The actual location for the hotel is khokaeng. Which is not available any where and non of the taxi guys know abt this hotel i was literaly showing my hotel card to taxi drivers as they could hardly understand me and visa versa anx non of themknew abt the hotel. Getting to the hotel was a problem. Now finally when we reached there the hotel staff does not speak good english and not very friendly. On our arrival they never asked us for any welcome drinks or anything. They did not provide a bell boy to even take our luagage to the room untill we insisted. Though i must say that the room was fantastic and beautiful. Really well made and nice linen all over. In the end i would good room bad service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very comfortable bed, close to Chatucak"
We stayed there for 2 nights on Saturday & Sunday for the purpose of visiting Chatucak. You have to cross the road and take a taxi to Chatucak and it's not more than 10 minutes and roughly around 50 baht. Since it was a new hotel, please tell the taxi driver it was at "Vibhawadee Rangsit Soi 10" instead of the name of the hotel. Practice the name of […] the road in Thai slang will help a lot. So, the bed in the room was surprisingly comfortable. On the first day, I used the longer pillow as a bolster, small square pillow on top the standard pillow and I had the best sleep in my 9 days trip. Amazing. However, on the second day, the bed unexpectedly shakes before i went into sleep which scares the **** out of girlfriend. So, we went down and was told that when big lorries pass by, the hotel will shake. It was fine for me but my girlfriend was too afraid so we ended up in a slightly smaller superior room on the 1st floor. There was irritating sound of 'aircond filter thingy' (dont know the actual term) outside the room but we were too tired to bother about it. We left the next day. If you are deciding to book this hotel, please expect some shakes if you are arranged to a high floor room, noisy room if you are at the 1st floor and not so well trained staff. Besides all that, it was a great hotel to stay if you want to have a weekend shopping in Chatucak. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Room is good but terrible service"
We booked this hotel because it is close to chatuchak market. However, it is not that close than we are expected. It have to take 15-20 mins taxi there. The hotel offered a low price for it room which is well decorated but the problem is the whole building is shaking and there is notice said that the shake caused by large vehicle crossing by. The most […] terrible thing is that the front desk staff very unfriendly to us without reason. Thus, due to the location of the hotel, most taxi refused to send us back to hotel. However, there are a convenient store, restaurants and supermarket nearby. To conclude, I would say the price is reasonable for its room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect for people going shopping"
07/15/14 Xyrhana Singapore, Singapore
At first after reading so much review, I was quite worried about how the hotel has limited network, about how there's structural swaying, about the noise from the hustle and bustle of the traffic and about how the receptionist can't speak English. However, myth totally busted after arriving at the hotel (We stayed in room level 3). Free wifi all day, everyday. Noise level from the traffic is acceptable if you live in a city. No swaying at all on level 3. Receptionist could speak English. It was very clean and classy, albeit small. It is slightly off from the city but still near to shopping areas like chatuchak and platinum fashion mall. Both are just bus rides away. Taxis are willing to go to this area and we did not encounter picky drivers in this area. Food is easily acquired within walking distance. Khai Jeow (thai egg omelet) always my favourite street dish. The one bad thing is that the taxi driver from the airport did not know where the hotel was located and we were also unable to reach hotel by phone. One tip for getting there is to tell them sutthisan road (thannon sutthisan) instead of the given address. As for which soi, we still do not know after leaving the hotel... Total value for money!!!

We landed there by chance as we chose for Hotel De Bangkok at ratchaprarop road and were booked for this the hotel is slight off but was good and friendly the restraint serves good food with smile. We are strict vegetarians and they went extra mile to accmodate our requirement with smile and served tasty food. Though the location is a dampner but you wouldn't regret staying there
"it was small and located in a odd area"
07/19/13 Leanne C Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
This hotel is located in a awkward intersection away from everything. There is nothing around it but traffic and a 7-11 store. It is far from everything and I had to take a taxi everywhere. Everywhere i went I seemed to had to pay for the tolls i passed through as well. When it came to going back to the hotel, no taxi knew where the hotel was located or if it really existed so they would take off and not bother. Other taxi drivers would increase the taxi fare a lot and so bargaining was a pain and you had to bargain for better fares. You are better off staying close to the busy areas or well known areas where tourists would stay. The room was very small, but was good enough for a night or two stay for one to two people. It is Asia, so a small room was expected. It isnt a place for a family, so dont bother unless you guys dont mind being squished. I guess it would be better than a hostel too , lol. The staff knew NO english at all, but they knew to read your reservation and such.... I wouldnt stay here again, unless there wasnt another place to stay. The taxis were getting really expensive. The airport was far too and most taxis do not have seat belts!

We were welcomed to this micro room which was still dirty from previous guest stay! There was a constant stench coming from the bathroom ( drain ) really horrid n they tried to musk it with spray alas few seconds later it returns. No western food choice and the Thai menu more no haves on the list then haves!!!! Cleaners didnt even remove our dirty towels or plates from room service the previous night. I assure you these are just a few of the things that went wrong! It was the worst hotel I have ever been to!
"Nice small hotel"
04/07/13 kolli12370 Bangkok, Thailand
I stayed here a few times already. I like the room of its decoration and in-room amenities. The bed is comfortable. The quake (from big truck running pass) is there for sure you just have to get used to it. Dont be shock if the lamp is moving left and right without anybody touching it (I was shock tho). Anyway once you slept you will not feel the quake (at least for me). The staffs at the front are not friendly and not really helpful. Car parking can be a headache if you arrive later at night when its all pack. Luckily there is a hotel security guard that can help you with that. I never try breakfast or restaurant so I dont know how it is. Overall, great for short visit and value for your money.
"Worst hotel ever."
03/28/13 Darren N Singapore, Singapore
I stayed for 3D2N in this hotel. Apparently the hotel's information on the website was fake. Firstly, the bed in the room do shake like earthequake all night as I could not sleep properly. Secondly, the distance to the MRT from the hotel was far away and it took 20 mins to reach. Thirdly, the reception was not professional to offer service recovery. Overall, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay.

I don't know.. the hotes safty or not for stay here. because in night time if you sleep. my feel like earthquake. for the room. too small like the hotel in hongkong. and if you bad luck and stay in room number 104. you can,t sleep. because kitchen room in hotel.. anyway cooks. and you will hear big fan from kitchen room for staff. I think no service mind with customer. good luck if you want to stay in this hotel..
"Affordability, safety and comfort"
02/20/13 Kritchanop J Ko Lanta, Thailand
It is a good option if affordability, safety and comfort override convenience and accessibility in your considerations. But in a sprawling city like bangkok, I would look for other options before staying here again.
"Excellent hotel in awful location"
Firstly I commend Fergus_nz's thorough review to you. I give the hotel 3 stars over his 2 because some of the issues raised did not bother me as much. The hotel is clean and excellent value. The free breakfast is very ordinary but free. I was not bothered by any sirens. Work was being carried out on the hotel at the time but it was not noisy when we were there. The beds do sway, even on level 2, and the internet access is irritating. The location is terrible. It is a long enough walk to the train station to warrant a taxi ride. The hotel is in the Bermuda triangle of bangkok - almost all of our taxi drivers had no idea where it was, even when using the taxi card the hotel provides with the address written in Thai on it. The surrounding neighborhoods are useful only to instil in you a sense of gratefulness for the blessing of being born in your home country and not the stinking streets of poverty which you will walk to the train line. It is a good option if affordability, safety and comfort override convenience and accessibility in your considerations. But in a sprawling city like bangkok, I would look for other options before staying here again.
"Too many negatives to offset the few brilliant positives"
01/11/13 Fergus_NZ Wairoa, New Zealand
I have this hotel to be the most difficult one to review. On the positive side, the room design and amenities are outstanding, and the shower (which actually works with unvarying heat and good flow, consistently (a rare thing in Thailand)) and bathroom are just great. For those Jack Bowers of you waiting for that call from the President, an additional phone is thoughtfully provided adjacent to the toilet. Room cleanliness is impeccable, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. However, all these positives cannot overcome the very troublesome negatives associated with this hotel. There are so many of them I have numbered them below: 1. structural instability. My room was on the 4th floor of the 5-storied hotel. It was not until I went to bed and lay down for a while that I realised that the entire structure of the hotel ‘sways’ when heavily-laden trucks drive by. Looking back at the comments of other guests on various review sites, this is a common complaint. The feel of this was akin to lying in bed on Christmas morning, and having an over-excited 8-year old grab your mattress and pull and push it repeatedly in order to get you up to deal with the presents under the Christmas tree. I am from New Zealand originally, and have no problem with small earthquakes. The building movement was very similar to a small, unthreatening earthquake. However, given that heavy trucks passed the hotel at least every 10 minutes, it took me an hour or so to ‘settle down’ and go to sleep. I imagine on the 5th floor, the swaying would be even more exaggerated. If you do book this hotel, I suggest that you request a lower floor room – you will be less exposed to structural sway. God help this place if there is ever actually a real earthquake! 2. The hotel is literally a stone’s throw from a massive busy motorway interchange. Traffic noise is excessive, and never stops; 3. The hotel has thoughtfully been constructed directly opposite an emergency ambulance station. Screaming sirens yank you out of your sleep as ambulances head out to deal with the relentless road carnage on Bangkok’s streets; 4. The location is dreadful. Seedy, motorway-interchange-noise-contaminated and bereft of any pleasant Thai massage sites where you can get a relaxing massage to assist you to drift off to sleep amongst the earthquake simulations and motorway/truck noise. I have stayed in many, many hotels and locations in Bangkok, but this one wins the prize for a combination of noise, seediness, and lack of proximity to those attractive elements of Thai culture – nice restaurants/massage spas etc; 5. Don’t make the mistake of going for a walk outside the hotel (a 7-11 is just a couple of minutes walk away) where several street stalls are located, and buying a noodle soup. You cannot eat this back at the hotel, as the hotel provides no bowls or spoons for guests to enjoy such fare. You could buy something on a stick, though ……; 6. My Wi-Fi was free initially, but when I awoke the following morning, I found that I was expected to pay for 'extra' access. Beware. If you were expecting a pleasant lie-in and browse for great holiday spots to visit - put that thought on hold as you get dressed, and trudge down to reception to collect your new password slips, and then return to bed in a different frame of mind. Beware, also, that the hotel has an explicit policy stating ‘All network activity will be monitored, this includes: websites, bandwidth usage, protocols’. 'Big Brother' is clearly alive and well at M2. Not conducive to feeling comfortable about accessing your banking or other privacy-sensitive sites – so drop that idea right now!; 7. The room is supplied with 2 bottles of Evian (50 baht), and 2 bottles of naam bplao (plain water) (10 baht). There is no mention within the room that any plain water is complimentary. All water is listed on the Minibar price card as chargeable. I have a personal ‘thing’ about those (rare) hotels that sting you that miserly bit extra just for the right to sip drinkable water when you arrive at your hotel room. If you want to quaff a Coke – maybe pop out to the 7-11 next door and get a can for 14 baht, rather than the 40 baht which the hotel charges for the pleasure. 8. A metered taxi (which you can just flag down yourself on the street outside) will cost you around 85 baht to get you to Mo Chit Bus Terminal (Note, available taxis show a lit-up yellow light above the dash – in Thai it says ‘Waang’, which means (literally) ‘Free’). Of course it’s not free – it merely means it’s available. 9. I recommend not accepting the hotel’s offer to arrange a taxi for you, which will involve an excessive overcharge; 10. In summary, although staff service and room quality were exemplary – I could not recommend this hotel to anyone who is not (a) deaf or significantly hearing-impaired, (b) indifferent to emergency vehicle siren activation at any time of the day or night, and (c) fully accustomed to the lateral structural momentum associated with sleeping in a tree hut in a high, softwood tree in an intermittent high wind. It’s a great pity – as if this hotel was located in Sukhumvit near Terminal 21 (for instance) – I would be beating a path to its door. As it is though – my recommendation is to select any one of the myriad of other (better-located, and quieter) hotels out there …..
