Dartington is a special place, a restored medieval hall. Very beautiful and the rooms are up to 21st. century standards. The one mild problem was the WIFI was touchy; one had to stand by the window for it to work. Very reasonable priced.

The hosts here are so friendly, the area walking distance to the beach and eateries, the rooms very clean and beds comfortable. We had a little trouble with the new heat system, but I am sure it is sorted out now. Wonderful delicious breakfast. I highly recommend. We loved the restaurant they recommended to us also.

"Beautiful setting"
Even though I arrived late and in the rain and they were very welcoming, showed me to my room and the facilities and left me to it. Just what I wanted on a wet night. The bed was very comfortable and the linen of a good quality. The hotel is set in a gorgeous setting on the East Dark River. Hotel is located in middle of Dartmoor, good access to moor for walks and adventure. Hotel is positioned above East Dart river, guests can enjoy forest/moor views and local wild birds close to hand whilst dining in conservatory. Owners attentive without being intrusive, very accommodating if packed lunches or evening meals required (additional cost). […] Afternoon tea is a daily option offered by hotel if desired. Room very comfortable, en-suite perfect including power shower! Breakfast very hearty and freshly cooked to order. A secluded little gem in my opinion.
