Great central location. We were able to walk everywhere. Extremely spacious apartment, especially for two people. Well maintained. It is in a little alley way though so a little difficult to find. Would definitely stay here again when in rome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
3 day visit to Rome and this was the best location we could have picked. Perfectly located near Piazza Venezia and close to bus stops, but best of all...walking distance to everything in Rome!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great apartment in the heart of Old Rome"
We loved this place! The room was a suite with kitchen, perfect for our family of four. The staff was extremely helpful with everything from train tickets to laundry to taxis to restaurant suggestions. The coffee machine saved us a fortune in cappuccino! The location was fantastic. A couple of minutes stroll to everything from the Trevi Fountain to […] the Forum. Strong thumbs up! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Comfortable and Convenient"
This is a great place to stay if you want a comfortable apartment-style place with a refrigerator and kitchen. Our place was spacious and the staff very helpful. It's centrally located with easy access to a lot of the monuments and museums, etc. It's across the piazza from the Victor Emmanuel monument and the Capitoline Museums and a short walk to the […] Colosseum. Trevi Fountain very close if you cut through the alley. If you like to walk, the Vatican is about 30 min walk or you can catch a bus to the Vatican right in front. Make good use of the coffee shop downstairs. Ask for a "cafe" and get a great espresso for 1 Euro at the counter, also good cornetti (baguettes). For a deli with good, cheap pizza and sandwiches check out the Forno Antico just off the Trevi fountain. Also, if you're into fountain pens, a very nice pen store called Novelli is three blocks away. The bigger point is that Dolce Vita is great for an experience in the middle of city. A couple of things to consider. It took us a few tries to get the wi-fi up and running. Just keep trying. Also, if noise bothers you, forget it! There is activity in the Piazza Venezia in the middle of the night. Now that we're back in a quiet suburb, we miss the noisy city. But not as much as we miss all the marble statues, architecture and great art! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent value in Rome! Spacious apartments!"
We stayed at the DVR for 3 nights at the end of March. The staff made our stay very memorable and assisted us with what to see and directions of where to go in Rome. The location is perfect and is in walking distance to just about all of the sights in Rome. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Rome!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very close to heart of Rome."
Very close to historic center of Rome. Everything is within 15 minutes of walking. Friendly helpful staff . The hotel manager wwas waiting for us outside when we got there. Will definitely go back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Boutique hotel!"
Stayed in PP Possolini studio apt. Clean, beautiful w/private terrace. Staff great. In heart of Rome. Great way to start our European vacation!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, but cramped for family of 4."
Great location. Close to most major sites, however plan on doing a lot of walking! Our room (an executive apt) had a mini fridge, stove top, pots & pans, etc and a Bialetti espresso maker. Our kids each had a single bed in the living room, while we had a queen bed in the separate bedroom. We also had a bedroom in the loft upstairs, but we never used […] it, as unless you are very tiny, it is hard to access. There was not enough space to put away clothes, so we mostly had to live out of our suitcases. The staff were okay (night staff particularly kind) and arranged our taxi home for us. There are lots of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Don't accept the flowers on the Spanish Steps! Beware of scammers trying to guilt you into paying them after "giving you" roses! "Location! Location! Location!"
We stayed six nights---our home away from home. We were in the middle of everything, but the apt. was so quiet we nearly slept till noon in the mornings! The staff couldn't be more friendly. Compared to a hotel room, this was heaven--it gave us and our 12-year-old plenty of walking around space. The cafe on the corner was very kid-friendly and handy, too. […] We loved the common terrace, the film star-themed rooms, the maid service, the comfort. We would recommend Dolce Vita Residence to anyone for a well-priced, wonderfully located Rome getaway. We were half a block from Vittoria Emmanuel Monument, and a few blocks from Trevi Fountain, the Forum, Capitoline Hill, the Colosseum, and the Spanish Steps. Can it get any better??? "Large Rooms, the best location in Rome"
This is the second time we stayed @Dolce Vita Residence. Reason -- large rooms (in fact full apartments), the best possible location, reasonable price, friendly and helpful staff. Will stay there again on the next trip.Genuine Expedia guest review

less than lux, but so was the price. Too many stairs for me, but I managed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, in the heart of Rome."
Stayed at this hotel for three nights while visiting Rome. The hotel's proximity to the major historical tourist attractions of the city was a great advantage.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great value and location! Super staff."
This hotel is close to many major attractions. We walked to the Colloseum, Forum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and San Clemente. It is just around the corner from the Piazza Venezia, which has several bars and restaurants where you can sit out and people watch. The room was very clean and the staff were exceptional. My only reservation about this hotel […] is that not all the rooms are easily accessible for people with disabilities. After exiting the elevator we had to walk up 3 steps, then down 2 and up 2 more to get to the door of our apartment. Once inside there were a couple more steps to go up. If you have any mobility difficulties, be sure to make your needs known when making a reservation. When I reserved this on Expedia I was expecting a hotel room. What we got was a 2 room suite! The second room had a kitchenette, table, sleeper sofa and a desk. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not too shabby"
It was a bit confusing when we first arrived as the hotel is off a little side street and the taxi dropped us by the major road. But once we figured it all out, it was all good. Of course the area is a bit noisy but I think it would be like that anywhere you are in walking distance to so many of the tourist type landmarks. The staff was all very nice […] and the room was much larger than expected. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good location"
The stay me and my wife had here was very good. This was our first destination for our honeymoon and set the bar very high. We stayed in a studio-style apartment and it was just the right size for us. There was a full kitchen stocked with utensils, cups, plates, etc. but we did not use that at all. There was a small washer that we did utilize and was […] very convenient. The bedroom was large and had plenty of space for us and our belongings. There was a good sense of security and we were able to leave our belongings there. The biggest plus to this place is the location. It is located close to....everything. Just a 7 minute walk to the historical building, which we used as a point of reference for our daily journeys. Just down the road from the Colloseum, the Forum, Circus Maximus, I mean its close to everything. Excellent service and location make this a must stay for anyone. The only down side I will say is that the bed was not very comfortable and it was loud with the restaurant that was just outside our window. Thank you for the stay! "Great hotel for a family"
Hotel location is amazing, 5 min walk to The Forum, Coliseum and within 20 mins to the most important tourist sites. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We are a family of 5 and the room although comfortable was a little tight (the eating table was right next to the sofa-bed were our kids slept and the eating area barely fit us). Still the kitchen […] had everything that one would need to prepare simple meals (no microwave) and it is very comfortable to be able to eat in, particularly if traveling with small kids. overall we had a great experience, would go back to Dolce Vita, and totally recommend it to others. For the price, rooms are large. It's really a small apartment, not a traditional hotel room. You should know the front desk is not staffed from 10 pm until about 5 a.m. That's the only negative. But the location is FABULOUS, within walking distance of virtually everything you'd want to visit in Rome. We would definitely stay here again if returning […] to Rome. "Right in the Thick of it"
I'd put the DVR in the funky cool little hotel category. Very large, well decorated and clean rooms, all different and interesting. Some of the amenities and room features aren't going to stack up to a large luxury hotel but that is more than adequately reflected in the price. The staff is absolutely first rate and I have no doubt they will do whatever […] they can to make your stay as enjoyable as they possibly can. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cool hotel close to Fontana di Trevi"
The location is awesome, close to the Fontana de Trevi and Foro di Traiano. Did all the sightseeing walking from the hotel, the only downside was the cable TV that was not working in the days I stayed at the hotel. We did not order breakfast, but there was a market two blocks from the hotel and we bought all we needed there.Genuine Expedia guest review
very trendy hotel. Was caught off guard by an extra charge that needed to be paid in cash, a city tax of 2 Eur per person per night, not included by Expedia.com. Bed was firm, but a usual european style. Air conditioning was a little on the fritz, but was comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Friendly staff and in the perfect location to walk and and see many of the sites that Rome has to offer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Would never stay any place else in Rome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location of this hotel is awesome- it's in the heart of Rome. Don't worry about the fact that it is off a small alley just off the main road. We walked to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and Emmanuel Monument. The Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica, and Villa Borghese are just a short bus ride away. The staff was very friendly […] and helpful. We had a two-story apartment (4th & 5th floor) which worked great for our family since we have older children. We spent some time in the evenings on our little balcony enjoying a glass of wine and the cooler evening air. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a market. The beds are firm, but we got used to them after the first couple of days. Overall, a really nice little hotel- we would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Wonderful location, large and comfortable for a family of 4. Washing machine in apt. unit was very helpful and saved us lots of cash. Better than a hotel with all the conveniences of one. Best of all, walking distance to most attractions, even in the summer heat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and lots of space"
Long walk from train station but not too bad especially if you have light luggage. We had a ton of space and the washing machine, espresso vending machine and location to Trevi Fountain, major tourist sites and nightlife a major plus. Very happy!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed at the Dolce Vita Residence on a recent 4 day trip to Rome. The hotel is perfectly located in old Rome and within walking distance of everything you would want to see while visiting this magnificent city. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. "Great Room, Great Location, Reasonable Price"
Great hotel in a key part of the city; stayed in the "Audrey Hepburn" room. It is adjacent to the Piazza Venezia and Vittoria Emanuele II monument. It is hidden -- as many of them are -- down a small street off of a main throughway. Very easy to walk to many popular tourist sites such as the Coloseum, Ruins, Spanish Steps, etc. Also, it is close to […] shops and a number of excellent restaurants. The hotel is clean, very modern, and very comfortable. It is really well-described as a "Residence", as this is like having a small apartment in a key location in Rome. There is no hotel restaurant, but they do offer breakfast service to your room for a fee. You are better off going to one of the many cafe's in the neighborhood. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were also genuinely helpful in trying to help tourists avoid the "tourist traps" which are numerous in Rome. If you are looking for a hotel with a great view out of your window, this is not the place to go. If you want a hotel with the amenities you find in a Westin, etc., this is not the place to go. However, step outside of the hotel, and you are in a great spot. That's what counts if you plan on spending your time exploring Rome. The price was very reasonable for the location and the size (one bedroom with separate sitting room, kitchenette, full bath) compared to others I could locate in the same area. Be sure to try Ristorante Abruzzi and Peroni which are very close by. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent stay for a family"
We - me, my wife and our children (5, 10, and 15 y.o.) stayed at Dolce Vita Residence in March 2012 for 6 days. The hotel is very convenient for families. There were 3 rooms and kitchen in our appartment. The kitten was equipped with gas cooker, electric bakeoven, kettle, refrigerator, and even washing-machine. However, there was no microwave oven. Supermarket […] is quite close (~7 min walk), you can buy everything and cook, it saves a lot of money (restaurants in central Rome are quite expensive). Staff is very courteous and helpful. "Great Stay In Room"
First lets start with location...La Dolce Vita is within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions with the exception of the Vatican. A city bus which stops on the corner, will get you to the Vatican in less than 10 minutes.( If walking is your thing it can be done in about 20 minutes ). We stayed in the Audrey Hepburn room, which consists […] of a sitting area/kitchenette, a bathroom and a bedroom. The couch in the sitting area pulled out to a bed which my 12 and 15 year old had no trouble sharing. There is a TV for the kids. MTV is mostly in english everything else is in Italian. There is no dining area in the hotel. When we checked in I had to show our reservation which I had printed from expedia which showed that our breakfast was included. Each day they sent breakfast to our room from the cafe on the corner. There is no laundry in the hotel, however if you call one of the girls at the front desk they will pick up your laundry and have it returned to your room. The girls who work at the front desk are fantastic. They can help you with just about anything. I would especially recommend you ask there opinion concerning restaurants. Each place they sent us to was better then the last. Try Abruzzi, which is just around the corner. I would highly recommend La Dolce Vita. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great find but dusty"
Great place to stay. Staff at front desk was very friendly. Room was in good condition. It was nice to have a full kitchen. I do think the room could have been cleaner. There was a lot of dust in corners of the room. Neighborhood was amazing! 3 minutes from Trevi fountain, 8 to Colosseum. Overall, I would stay again and would recommend highly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, central location"
Hotel was easy to find and very central. A ten minute walk to the Colossium and thirty minute walk to the Vatican. We stayed in the Audrey Hepburn suite which was lovely. Lounge/kitchen area, hallway, bathroom and bedroom. On arrival we were booked in by a young gentlemen on reception, he was fantastic. Talked us through Rome and gave us a map with […] directions to different locations. On our final stay the receptionist also booked us a taxi and looked after our bags whilst we had a final exploration of the wonderful city. Close to shopping and restaurants. I stayed with my daughter in a double studio on the 3rd floor. It had kitchen equipment and a washing machine and also had it's own private […] terrace although no view to speak of at all. Quiet, clean and air conditioned I would definitely stay here again. "Nice hotel in the central area of Rome."
Nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Perfectly located in the heart of Rome making walking around very easy, all major attractions are within walking distance. Perfect location with fantastic service deep in the heat of Rome. We stayed two nights on our way to a Cruise and now wish we had stayed longer. "Great Base for Rome"
This is an excellent place to stay on your trip to Rome. It's right in the middle, 5 minutes from the colosseum, 5 minutes to the Trevi fountain and just slightly longer to the Spanish steps. Staff here were excellent from check in to departure. They provided a great map and circled all the points of interest for us and advised us of the nearest shop […] to buy Metro tickets which was on our street. We stayed in an executive double room (Audrey Hepburn room), it was well decorated, modern and clean with it being tidied and fresh towels put in everyday. Kitchen facilities including free tea and coffee, hob and fridge and then a clean bathroom with hairdryer. There was also a safe in the wardrobe that we used and gave us great piece of mind. I am hoping to go back to Rome and I would 100% pick the Dolce Vita Residence as my hotel it's the perfect place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location in the city of Rome!"
Dolce Vita had everything we needed for our stay! The staff were helpful and nice. We stayed in the Rita Hayworth studio apartment on the fourth floor which was a good size for 2 adults. (Not extravagant as the pictures online and no view from balcony but that wasn't a big issue as we were out most of the day - and you get what you pay for). However […] the bathroom was modern with a double size shower cubicle. The bed was firm, comfortable enough, however pillows and bedding could have been better. The good thing was they did provide a hairdryer and iron. Also kitchen equipment with fridge so you can make your own breakfast if you wish.
