"Perfect location in the city of Rome!"
Dolce Vita had everything we needed for our stay! The staff were helpful and nice. We stayed in the Rita Hayworth studio apartment on the fourth floor which was a good size for 2 adults. (Not extravagant as the pictures online and no view from balcony but that wasn't a big issue as we were out most of the day - and you get what you pay for). However […] the bathroom was modern with a double size shower cubicle. The bed was firm, comfortable enough, however pillows and bedding could have been better. The good thing was they did provide a hairdryer and iron. Also kitchen equipment with fridge so you can make your own breakfast if you wish. Overall it was a pleasant stay and within walking distance to most places. Perfect for sightseeing in Rome. Would definitely recommend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff very attentive to the minor detail on the daily clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The location was a safe area, and while not situated in proximity to an abundance of restaurants, was situated close to a number of bus stops for routes to key destinations throughout […] Rome. "Beautiful accommodation in a convenient location"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dolce Vita Residence. Our apartment was modern, spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and useful. The staff were welcoming and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
An ideal central location for a few days in Rome, the apartment is well within easy walking distance of all the main sites. Though located just off a main road the rooms are quiet. Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms are clean and the small kitchen a great help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel being close to everything."
The hotel was located 15 minutes walk from the collesuem and other tourist attractions. There is lot of restaurants and the main road for the shops right next to the hotel but it's located down a small alley so not too busy. The hotel room itself was good with an entrance via the lift and stairs with good sized amenities. The only downside was there […] was no iron and ironing board available in the room and had to be asked for. However the staff were very helpful giving us a map and highlighting bus numbers to the Vatican, where all the local shops for groceries were and the tourist attractions. "Very nice and comfortable hotel"
This is a very nice hotel, located at the heart of Rome. We really enjoyed the time we spent at the hotel. The staff was very nice and friedly.Genuine Expedia guest review
First trip to rome with my wife and 2 yr old daughter. This hotel was perfect for us, the location meant that we really could walk everywhere... Piazza navona, pantheon, coliseum, roman forum, trevi fountain all within 10 mins, Spanish steps not much more, and Vatican about 30 mins. Great as we did not have to use public transport with the stroller, […] and all walks in rome are scenic. The apartment was company but ideal. Very modern, the only thing missing was a clothes iron. A cot was provided free of charge for my daughter. Bed was very firm, but actually very comfortable and probably good for your back! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Central location, lovely apartment"
My husband and two children (15 and 11) and I had three nights at the Dolce Vita at the end of August. We had a lovely time. It is centrally located, with the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and Spanish Steps all within easy walking distance - great because it was lovely to go back to the air-conditioned apartment to cool down and rest a little before setting […] out again. And the Piazza Venezia, literally around the corner, is beautiful too. A great base for a exploring a marvellous city. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The space and facilities were perfect for my family of five. The rooms were clean and well decorated with comfy beds - a massive bonus. The location was fantastic and the staff were so helpful. I hope we get the chance to stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A very welcoming hotel from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for the staff, superbly situated for all the sights of Rome, the apartment was clean and very comfortable and even had a washing machine perfect for a travelling family like us, would highly recommend the hotel and would even stay again if I found myself in Rome again,Genuine Expedia guest review
Great central location but very quiet. Wonderfully helpful staff, even let me use their computer to print out tickets. Comfortable and clean. Some of the electrical gadgets didnt work but as we had booked two appartments what didnt work in one we used in the other so it was not a big issue.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location ."
Great hotel within easy reach of trevi fountain and colleseum ,comfortable airconditioned rooms were essential in summer heat of Rome.Genuine Expedia guest review
We found the staff very helpful and friendly. We asked if we could leave our luggage at the hotel for a few days before we checked in and they were very willing to assist. Comfortable apartment, fantastic service, happy to help with all our inquiries. We would definitely return to Dolce Vita on any future trips to Rome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Fantastic Hotel in Central Location."
We stayed at the DVR for my husband's 50th birthday. The location was superb. We were a short stroll from the Colisseum and the Trevi fountains and all the gorgeous bars and restaurants. We stayed in the Rita Hayworth studio apartment which was gorgeous. We had a tiny but cute balcony where we had our Prosecco in the evening. The staff were extremely […] helpful and smiley and nothing was a problem. They informed us that although breakfast wasn't included in our booking, they would bring us some coffee in the morning. In the event they brought us some sandwiches and toast too! The only negative was that the air-conditioning was pretty hopeless. The room got very hot in the night but we had to close the windows to keep the noise out. But that was a tiny thing compared with the overall experience which was fabulous. We would definitely stay there again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Little Gem in Central Rome"
Location is fantastic, your are right in the centre of the main tourist area to get an early headstart in those tourist queues. Bedroom comfort left something to be desired if you need a good nights sleep the mattresses were firm especially on the sofa bed arrangement. Early morning disturbance from the refuse collection can disrupt your sleep as other […] reviewers have stated. We just used earpugs. Apartment needed a bit of TLC, with the odd bulb missing and the ice compartment needed a good defrost. Shower area was a little neglected and could have used a light also. Overall though given the location advantages we would consider returning. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"What a find in the Centre of Rome - Loved it!"
Loved the space of haviing a kitchenette, fridge, sofa etc. although the dining table had seen better days. Only Sky News in English on TV which was a shame. Lack of light unavoidable as all buildings in Rome are close together. No noise at night. LDV residence is so near everything, perfect for a little trip back for refreshments and then when rested […] off out again. We walked everywhere, so many surprises round every corner. Hotel staff were lovely, always ready for a chat about our day. Duvet/Bedspread needs a cover. Apartment was very clean and we had a wonderful time watching the Marathon, visiting St Peter's as it prepared for the new Pope's inauguration, and throwing our coins in the Trevi Fountain - see you again Rome Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent location, but far too noisy."
We stayed at the Dolce Vita Residence for five nights in mid-February 2013. The accomodation is perfectly located for exploring the sights of Rome by foot, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. However, there are two reasons why I feel that I cannot recommend the Dolce Vita: 1. The noise. We were woken at approximately 1am every night by […] the bin lorry which collects (and very noisely hydraulically crushes) the refuse from the alleyway which most of the apartments in the Dolce Vita Residence face onto. There is also another building nearby which is being noisily renovated, so we were woken most mornings at 7am with drilling noises loud enough to vibrate the floor of the apartment. Although these were external factors which are obviously beyond the control of the Dolce Vita Residence, they left us tired and irritable for the duration of our visit to Rome. 2. Very little natural light in the apartment. Due to the design of the Dolce Vita Residence, our apartment had only a single window , which faced a narrow alleyway. This resulted in the apartment being unpleasantly dark in the main living area, which did not encourage us to spend any time at the apartment, wheras we had intended to cook the occasional meal there and to use it as somewhere to relax between activities. "Perfect, if you don't need to sleep."
Our trip was for my wifes 40th birthday and we travelled as a family with 2 children aged 14 and 11. We received a very warm welcome at the Dolce Vita from the lady on reception,we were a little early (which we knew) and she was very apologetic that our apartment wasn't ready, but couldn't be more helpful in taking care of our luggage so we could get […] straight out and exploring. We were given a great map on which she marked points of interest, supermarkets and a couple of restaurants with approx times for walking. When we got into the apartment we were really pleased, it was very clean and loads of room for the 4 of us. The best thing about the Dolce Vita is the location, it really couldn't be better trevi fountain, piazza navona, spanish steps and colosseum all 15 minutes. vatican 45 minutes. When you go to the colosseum you will be approached by guides doing english speaking tours, this is a MUST !! Try to do one that does Palatine hill at the same time, its around 25 euros. Whilst you in this part of town visit the Baths of Caracalla, few visitors do. We really liked the Dolce Vita but i must comment on the noise. I ignored other reviews thinking the people were being overly critical, but it is very very noisy, people talking on phones, cars with music pumping out, rubbish collections all hours of the night. Then construction at 7am !! In fairness not the Dolce Vitas fault, but maybe some extra special double glazing required. 9/10 would go back tomorrow (with ear plugs!!!) "Best hotel/apartment for a family to say in"
We had a great time here. It was a true home away from home. The staff there treated us like family. If we ever go back to Rome this is where we be staying. We had our own kitchen. Which had everything in it that we need. A supermarket close by. And the hotel is place such that we could walk to all the sights. We found that a lot of family were booking […] this hotel and a lot of them keep coming back because of the service that they have gotten from the staff and the wonderful apartment. We went during Christmas. We were worried that most of it would be closed but everyday we were out and about with the wonderful weather. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel for location, but take ear plugs"
Location and room size were great. However we were in room number 2/3 on the first floor and the garbage collectors woke us up EVERY morning at 4AM!!! when they picked up garbage from the resturant in the alley!Genuine Expedia guest review
the staff were very helpful, taking our luggage to our apartment and explaining facilities. Location is great, in walking distance to cafes, restaurants, Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps, the coloseum the forum, and good shopping. You could walk to Vatican City probably take 3/4 hour. "Great Value For Money"
The location was great, within walking distance to all the main attractions. The room was very clean and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. "Perfect place to stay in Rome"
We were very impressed with the Dolce Vita Residence. we were a family of four, two children 4 & 7 travelling in July 2012. The location is perfect for seeing the Colosseum, Il Vittoriano, Spanish steps, trevi fountain etc. the apartments are modern, clean and the air conditioning is very welcome in the searing heat Rome has to offer. The apartment […] has a well equiped kitchen and is very spacious. The building is situated in a lane which is quiet enough except for the bin truck early in the morning, which can't be helped! Bring ear plugs. We hope to return to Rome next Aug for another wedding and we will be booking the DVR, without a doubt. Definitely the place to stay in Rome. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Pros - Location, location, location. Within 15 min walking of Trevi, piazza navona, piazza venezia, campo di fiori, colosseum, pantheon, cafes, restaurants and shopping. "The Gringoes do Rome."
Like the Vatican Library, this little gem is rarely seen. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff at this accommodation - they were friendly, extremely helpful and made you feel part of their 'family'. The rooms or apartments themselves were exceptional. They were big, we had plenty of room for bags, shopping, etc. We also had a separate lounge […] room and bedroom. The rooms were clean, tidy and serviced daily. We were so fortunate to have stayed at this place. It is central to everything, and we do mean everything. Alll the attractions of old Rome are literally within walking distance.
