This bed and breakfast seems to have been converted from the owner's apartment. Our room was spacious and very clean and had a wonderful view of the vatican which is right across the street. The community kitchen was small, clean and self serve. The family that staffed the place were very friendly and helpful though not all of them spoke english so […] sometimes we had a brief delay while we waited for one of the family to show up that could communicate with us. Also, they don't live on the premises but were available via phone and always showed up quickly if we needed assistance. The only problem we had was with the keys. One key opened the gate to the courtyard, one opened the door to the building, one opened the door to the apartment and one opened the door to our room. Two of the keys were old skeleton keys and could sometimes be a bit tricky to use. It was all part of the fun we had on our first adventure in Rome. A very charming place! Read more

Le Torri dei Papi is " THE" perfect way to see Rome.The fact that it's situated across from Vatican Museum, in a nice neighborhood with cafes, grocery stores, restaurants and the best gelato place in Rome makes it more perfect. The apartment is actually a gated Condo with nice gardens . Our room for 3 adults was spacious,comfortable and very clean with […] modern in suite bath. Kitchen was modern also.Rooms were just redone in 2012 and very nice. Breakfast foods were provided daily. Milk,creamer, juices, breads and croissants ,jams and butter,coffee, tea and bottled water. It is " prepare it yourself" but that just made us feel like we were home. Adrianna and her son Marco are really great.They take pride in their establishment and it shows. They were always available when needed as they live in the same complex Leticcia was our Angel.She helped us with anything and everything She was always smiling and cheerful.I've been to Rome many times before but this was my best stay. More relaxed!Close to transportation.We saw more than I ever did on previous trips.We took the 2 day hop on hop off bus to the outer areas. Very efficient and economical. We walked everything for 2 days around Vatican City area. We felt completely safe and had the time of our lives! In a way I hesitate to say how wonderful Le Torri dei Papi is...it may make it harder to book for our next trip! All in all a fabulous experience!!! Thank you Adrianna , Marco and Leticcia!!! Note that the photo posted is NOT the le Torri dei Papi, but the Vatican Museum across the street. Mgmt wanted cash for the room....wasn't too much problem, since the atm was downstairs and around the corner. . Very clean and secure gated apartment/condo on 4th floor. Good airconditioner. We ended up in the "twin" room.....with 2 twin beds...sort of […] "hostel-quality". We had a nice private bathroom, shared kitchen. Continental breakfast = some bread, packaged meat and croissants left in the fridge in the kitchen. We opted to eat breakfast out instead. Location very convenient to Museo de Vatican and St. Peters (just around the corner),and a short walk to Castel Sant'Angelo. Long cab rifde to Colosseum, Forum and Termini. Great value for the price, and we will probably stay there again if we return to Rome. Read more
