I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for 5 members of my family as we were in town for a family wedding. The hotel is VERY clean and has been remodeled in the not too distant past. The location is good, short walk to dining/shopping, etc.

A condominium turned hotel, rooms feature a kitchenette with good AC window units. No pool on the premises, and parking is very limited. For those looking to save money, I recommend parking at the city garage located across from the convention center on 17th St. ($15/night). Hotel staff escorted me to my room upon check-in and was very pleasant. There […] was some road construction going on outside the hotel, but I was never in the room while they were working so there were no noise issues except for the honk of an occasional cab. Staff was very nice and hotel was a good inexpensive choice! Only issue was air conditioning in the room... the air goes directly to the bed and its very uncomfortable (and might get you sick!). If you turn it off, room gets very hot quickly.

If you stay in the "Renovated" Room, it is just like on the picture. Very Clean. Everybody in the Hotel is friendly and helpful. They treat you with respect. Excellent Service. Only thing is that you have to pay $25/night at check-in, in addition to your already paid reservation. It is for a lousy pre-selected breakfast (not the buffet) included a small […] basket of small croissants and too sweet cookies/cakes. I did not come back for that breakfast, in the 2nd day. We had the one bedroom apartment. It was bigger than expected - fit up to 5 - but when we asked for a cot they charged an additional $30! There was a queen bed in the bedroom and futon in the living area, large flat screen and kitchen was fully equipment. About 1-2 blocks from beach. Ola (amazing restaurant) almost next door. Close to everything. The […] fact that there is no pool is no biggie b/c you can use the pools at all the other fancy hotels. The only other complaint is that the bathtub was rusted. The hotel was only 2 blocks away from the beach and is located in a great location near shops, businesses, bars and the Lincoln Avenue Mall. The room was great, clean and quiet. The staff was wonderful and informative and provided us with a "cheat sheet" of restaurants, bars and clubs in the area along with a price guide. However, parking is limited […] to 6 spaces and it's first come, first serve. We had to park our car at a parking garage for $30.00 dollars a day, which is the going rate for hotels in the area that provide parking. This hotel stay wasn't a good one. The rooms are tiny as well as the beds. There was no telephone in the room, ice machine went out, must have been a shortage on wash clothes and the air conditioner went low. The room was clean though.

We were pleasantly surprised at the room - although small, it did have everything that you could need if you were going to do self catering. Bathrooms were wonderful. The only downfall I would say is the lack of parking space available so make sure you book a parking spot if you coming with a vehicle prior to arriving to ensure you have a spot.

This was mine and my boyfriend's first trip to Miami so we weren't sure what to expect. We noticed a lot of the other hotels next door and across the street were in various stages of disrepair. We were a little apprehensive, to say the least. However, after we checked in, we were showed to our room and were pleasantly surprised by what we saw. Although […] the room is small and felt cramped at times with just 2 people and their bags, it was clean and orderly. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and pillows were soft. The bathroom was clean and nicely tiled in natural stone, as was the rest of the room. The hotel provided beach towels free of charge also. It is located 2 blocks from the beach and 2 blocks from Lincoln Road where all the shopping and restaurants are. Parking around the hotel is hard to find and expensive so we took them up on their offer for one of the reserved parking spots in their small lot behind the hotel for $20 a day. Regarding security, the hotel rooms all had a key pad on the door with a 4 digit code to open it and the main entrance to the hotel had a gate with a similar keypad to get into. Also, the hotel had free wifi which was a plus. All in all, if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay for a few nights and can sacrifice on a few luxuries (like hot breakfasts or in-hotel spas), then this is a very good place to stay for the money and the convenient location. When we first drove up there was a bunch of construction going on. There was limited parking and I thought, "oh no, this place is a dump". I was wrong. We were led through the office to a nice courtyard setting then up to our room. The room wasn't large but it was spotless. Comfortable beds with all appliances, dishes, coffee and coffee maker etc. It […] was less than 2 short blocks to the beach and walking distance to tons of eateries, bars and clubs. For the price, the location is excellent! It has an intimate, peaceful atmosphere, yet it's still only a block away from Collins, two blocks from the beach, and two blocks from Lincoln Road shops & restaurants. Hotel 18 is nice. Great location - close to Lincoln Rd and the beach. Price is very reasonable for South Beach. It's nice and clean, but it's not super luxurious. It is basically what I was expecting. The bed made noise which I didn't like. That said, I would stay there again.

The hotel seems to be a small, privately ran hotel about acouple blocks from collins ave. When i first arrived here everything was clean, quiet, and sunny of course. The staff was wonderful. The actual room was quite small and the refrigerator was not in the kitchenette but the middle of the bedroom, which was a bit odd. The twin beds were awful, and the sheets were very scratchy. It was far from luxurious, but our needs were met.

Great location. Very close to beach. Quiet place, couldn't hear guests in other rooms. I have stayed in other places around Miami Beach and this is definitely the quietest. Clean room. Very friendly hotel staff. No front desk but they still have a computer where we were able to print. Be advised the front office is only open from 8am to 8pm.
