A broken air conditioner spoiled most of our first night, after moving to a new room, things were much betterGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent small hotel. We were particularly impressed as they "stepped up" and dealt with a tour company that had provided a very sub-standard tour. In short, we did not enjoy that experience, but the way the hotel handled it made it better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent boutique hotel in vibrant Lastarria barrio"
Read rave reviews of this hotel and decided to splurge a little and book this. Decent boutique hotel - charming dining room and outdoor courtyard. Service was good but not extraordinary. Rooms (i got room 8) were definitely on the small side but modern and clean. Close enough to the bustling Lastarria neighbourhood and about a 7 min walk to the Met […] ro. "excellent location in Santiago,"
Coming from the Alvear Palace in Buenos Aires, we experienced some culture shock at the difference. The room was small, the elevator was out for half a day and the night clerk was indifferent. The young woman at the desk during the day was excellent. Also the breakfast room was pleasant and the breakfast excellent. The area was interesting with many […] students, good restuarants and the best wine bar in Santiago, called Bocanariz. You should highlight the latter by displaying their calling cards at the desk. Also mention it on your webpage as there are a lot of wine lovers visiting Chile. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Best Boutique Hotel in Santiago, Without a Doubt!"
This is a wonderful boutique hotel! Santiago is one of the most pleasant cities in the world and the Lastarria is in a great location on a quiet, tree-lined side street so it is quiet. As a refurbished mansion is has real charm and appeal. The staff was outstanding, the rooms are large, clean and VERY comfortable, the secluded garden pool a very peaceful […] place to have afternoon tea, the breakfasts perfect and tasty......We will stay there every time we return to Santiago, no doubt. "great boutique hotel in Santiago"
I loved the location. Perfect for walking through old Santiago and close to transportation for other areas. Staff was great. Loved sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine overlooking the pool after a busy day of sightseeing! It was quiet and serene, even though we were just a short distance from the active Bellavista area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice stay, not business oriented"
It's a great hotel overall, but i would consider it just for leisure purposes and not for business. The reason is basically because the room I selected has no facilities for a business traveler. No desk, no place to sit and write, no specific lights for that and no room for clothes. There were no place for hanging a suit, shirt or nothing. Just a small […] place over the safety box that's not enough for male size clothes. So, practically i didn't get my stuff out of the case. Very uncomfortable. Other point to improve is variety of meals for room service and the breakfast service. The rest of the hotel service was great, taking into account that is a boutique hotel, so you will not find dozen of employees. It's really quiet, the ancient building is amazing, and you can sleep even better than home. Y strongly suggest the place for a personal trip, not for business. "Very nice indeed"
LaStarria neighborhood is exciting and fun. It took us a bit to get over the graffiti we encountered in every moderate to large city we encountered in South America and Santiago was no exception. However, the hotel felt secure and was very well appointed. Breakfast was a nice surprise. We would recommend against taking a private wine tour that they […] promote and encourage visitors to find less expensive alternatives. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect in so many ways"
We have stayed at this Boutique Hotel twice now, and would stay again. The staff is friendly, and very helpful in every way! The location is perfect... just a short walk to so many sights, and activities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, but very noisy inside"
The hotel is beautiful, the common areas and the rooms are well designed with care to details. A big issue is the sound insulation as the floors are old creaky boards and when people are moving next door it sounds like they are walking inside your room, really! If that is not a problem for you, you will love this hotel, the location is great, within […] walking distance to the main sights in downtown and Plaza de Armas on one side and tons of restaurants and souvenir shops in Patio Bellavista in the opposite direction. Breakfast is really good for such a small hotel and the staff are all corteous and very accommodating. Couples will appreciate this hotel more than families or business travelers. "You gotta stay here if you are in Santiago!"
Wow what a gem of a place! This hotel has only 14 rooms. I stayed in room 2 (a junior suite). The entire room was top of the line. Modern and very clean. The bathroom was all tile and spotless. The cleaning staff was outstanding. The front desk was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. There is a little cafe right down the street […] that has great coffee and great Chilean stews. The hotel is across the street from the old USA Embassy. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

It was my first time in Santiago and the hotel couldn't be better. I will definitely recommend this hotel. A very nice boutique hotel, very cozy, modern and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable. Very nice garden. Not to mentioned the breakfat buffet, awesome!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel - overpriced tiny rooms"
Lastarria Boutique Hotel is conveniently located close to the city center, yet in trendy area with plenty of restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. Rooms are tiny and overpriced. Wardrobe closet is Lilliputian in size; shirts or pants cannot hang straight down, and you have to sit on your bed to open the door. Only one tiny dresser drawer […] means you need to keep your clothes in your suitcase which could not fit between the bed and the dresser. One chair, no desk or flat surface other than the top of the wardrobe closet. Hotel restaurant was good, but overpriced. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Modern, Comfortable, and Bright"
What a pleasant surprise! The hotel is beautiful, as was our room. Very modern with lots of great sunlight in the gorgeous bathroom. We were so surprised to have the big outdoor terrace off the room, I only wish we would have stayed there for more than one night so we could enjoy it more! Breakfast was great, and it was nice to sit in the dining room […] with a view of the pool. Parking was not far away, and although it was a tight space to get out of, it worked out well for us. "Discovering a gem in Santiago"
Lastarria is a lovely hotel located in Santiago across from the former U.S. embassy and in a pleasant neighborhood reminiscent of Palermo in Buenos Aires. It also reminded my wife and me of a hotel in Madrid, the AC Santa Mauro, which is one of the finer European hotels. Lastarria's staff was unfailingly warm and friendly; the hotel and our room's […] design and finishes were polished and tasteful. Our room was on the first floor, and had a separate door to a small sequestered sitting area in the hotel's back adjoining a garden and jewel like pool. Through the garden you could also enter the hotel's dining room where a more than adequate continental breakfast was served. My wife and I stayed one night at the hotel after five days in Patagonia, including three days of hiking. The hotel was a haven, a wonderful punctuation point to a memorable trip. Both my wife and I highly recommend it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Contemporary and Refined, Tasteful Decor, Serene"
This is a small, refined and tasteful contemporary hotel. The historic building has been beautifully restored and the interior design and interior architecture are top notch. The pool is very serene and spohisticated. It's surrounding landscaping is very well thought out. The premises are quiet and immaculate. The staff is well trained and fluent in […] English. The breakfast buffet was included in the room price. It featured a generous array of pastries, cereal, yohurt and cheese plus eggs cooked to order. Service was accomodating, and the food was very good. A small negative is that the hotel is a little hard to find. It is located on a small side street not always known to taxi drivers. Also the neighborhood is bohemian and relatively safe, but a little grimey. Universities and museums are close by, but this is not an upscale area. My recommendation was to install an awning over the front door to make the entrance easier to see. Another small negative is that the conceige service is not there yet. An additional recommendation is the development of a concierge handbook and list of daily events taking place. A guest would be advised to have a plan for his or her activities. Lasstaria is newly opened and is a smooth and refined operation. I would recommend it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Gorgeous Boutique Hotel in Bohemian Lastarria area"
Stayed 1 night in Lastarria Boutique hotel and wish it could have been longer. I normally stay in Las Condes area for business but had a meeting downtown so thought it would be good tro try a hotel near the old city, and this hotel had very good reviews. It was wonderful, not cheap, but certainly worth the money. Gorgeous rooms, design, a lovely pool […] and courtyard which would be lovely on summer afternoon, and attention to detail - helping out with restaurant recommendations, complimjentary espresso etc. The neighbourhood is very cool, with lots of little bars and restaurants, and a more interesting crowd than the norm in conservative Santiago..........Will definitely be back. "Excellent Boutique Hotel Which Can Improve Further"
A delightful boutique hotel, well located in an interesting central area, close to a lively selection of bars and restaurants. Our 'garden' room was excellent, containing all we needed, with direct access to the rear garden and pool area. The excellence of the hotel and its location are diminished slightly by the uninteresting breakfast offered (in […] a beautifully decorated room) and the poor quality of the breakfast service - staff are poorly trained and understand little English. "Convenient, quiet, lovely"
I had a wonderful stay at Lastarria, my one comment is more of a tip, request a room above the ground floor, as I had some trouble with street noise/smokers directly outside my terrace. The room was beautiful and impeccably maintained.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

booked this hotel after reading good reviews. it is a lovely hotel. staff very efficient and friendly. great location. we would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santiago.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our stay at the hotel was simply Perfect. We stayed for a long weekend - arriving on Thursday afternoon. We were picked up from the airport by a car service arranged by the hotel for us. The reception staff were welcoming, warm and smooth. This was exemplified when we had some difficulty accessing money from the bank machine due to a connection problem […] and the hotel fixed the issue easily for us until we were able to access bank services again on the Friday. The breakfast and afternoon tea service gave us a good start to the day and a welcome mid afternoon break. The restaurant staff and the cleaning staff were very professional. The hotel is located in a wonderful area near the main streets of the Lastarria neighbourhood with lovely cafes and restaurants. It is also on a secluded street just opposite the park. The area was safe and felt luxurious in a relaxed fashion. The room we stayed in was one of the suites which was presented beautifully with fresh flowers and tea service. The bathroom shower was fantastic with steam option! The little garden with pool was tranquil and well kept. The management and staff of this hotel get a full seal of approval. We had a wonderful time in Santiago for the weekend and would definitely stay at the Lastarria Hotel again. Full recommendation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfort in the city"
We booked this hotel as a treat on our South American trip. The room we booked was large and comfortable, especially the bed. The only issue I had was the small amount of noise from the reception area. Our room was on the ground floor so conversations in the lobby could be heard in the room. In future perhaps ask where the room is located prior to arriving, […] we were on our Honeymoon so would have liked a room further away from the lobby. Apart from that, we loved the location, the breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. They even arranged breakfast for us at 330am when we had to leave early for a flight. "Well located hotel"
Location of the Lastarria Boutique Hotel was great as it's close to a number of the Santiago sights. Our room and the hotel in general are in good condition. However, the wifi signal was very weak in our room (perhaps because we were in a top floor room) and the breakfast didn't have much selection as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is in a lovely position - we didn't leave the barrio for 3 days as some of Santiago's most characterful and delicious restaurants are only a short stroll away, along with quirky shops and wine bars. I mean Lastarria itself, not the more touristy Bellavista area just over the river. The hotel staff were attentive without being intrusive. Our […] first room - Room 13, on the top (third) floor overlooking the pool - was a Deluxe room. It was reasonably large and comfortable, with plenty of windows. On our third night we decided to upgrade to Room 12, a junior suite on the same floor at the front, as although the bedroom was smaller, it had a large sunny terrace and bathroom. (I think Room 11 is the mirror image of this one.) The only drawback, which other guests have mentioned, is that sound carries from the hallways into the rooms. This isn't a huge problem on the top floor as there are only 4 rooms up there. The breakfast and breakfast room are lovely with afternoon tea a bonus. The pool is more decorative than anything, as it doesn't seem to be heated and is quite small. Overall a lovely hotel and I'd stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for anyone"
stylish and modern inside but with lots of historical character, family feel, large bedroom, pleasant breakfast room, everything worked perfectly, personal attention to detail and staff could not have been more helpful, good location too, central and close to attractionsGenuine Expedia guest review
Very nice hotel. We stayed here for three nights. One night was loud due to the room above us packing and leaving for the airport at 2 am. Noise carries pretty good due to hard wood floors. Good location for sight seeing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Classy boutique experience"
Lovely small boutique hotel that does pretty much everything right. The room (Junior Patio Suite) was a little small, but has a beautifully appointed large bathroom and a very nice large deck which catches the sun. Comfortable bed, very nice linen. Everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast is continental plus eggs/omlettes any way you want (cooked to your […] order). Wifi free and hassle free, with good speed. Lastarria is a very nice neighborhood to be in with a large number (20 or more?) of eateries about 100m down the road, running the gamut from wine bar to semiformal. "Very central in Santiago"
We stayed at Lastarria Boutique Hotel for 8 nights in the middle of September 2012. The location was amazing just a few blocks from a major subway station. The service was great with breakfast included, tea time service in the afternoon (we only made it once, since we were out enjoying the city most of the time) and tea delivered to your room every […] night. They also have turndown service every evening with Ferrero Rocher and a bottle of water. The staff were very pleasant, my only disappointment was that I was looking forward to a boutique hotel in which you have a bit more of contact with the owner or manager, this didn't happen though we did get a welcome card in our room when we arrived. Granted, this is not a big disappointment or great concern, but it was something I was looking forward to based on previous reviews. All in all, very recommended. "You have to stay here!"
A top notch, value for money hotel that delivers a 1st class experience. Almost everything about this hotel was 5-star, the bed was excellent, breakfast was the best we've had (still no bacon though) in the 4 weeks we've been travelling in Argentina/Chile, the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The little things set it apart - the turndown […] service, chocolates, water, slippers by the bed and robes.
