The hotel is new and has near decorations. But that's about it. There aren't even lamps on the bedside tables or a coffee maker. The Internet wasn't installed yet. Check in was tedious. We stayed in Little Mermaid rooms. Rooms were very small as expected but did come with a refrigerator. The one in my daughter's room did not work and when she called to complain about it, she was told it was not a refrigerator but just a cooler. No accommodation was made for her. Also, fridges are nice but a coffee pot and a microwave would have been […] a great addition to the rooms. I cannot remember the last time I stayed anywhere that did not have a small coffee pot in the room. The walk to the central area was very long and the food available at this humongous "resort" was mediocre at best. My kids and I really enjoyed this hotel. The mermaid building is a bit of a walk, but we did not mind. Our room was facing the lake and Pop Century hotel. The main pool was huge and the counselors kept activities going on around the pool. We really loved the theme of the hotel. We made it in before check in time and our room was ready. We waited in […] line maybe 5 minutes to be checked in. Check out was even quicker. The only thing that was a bummer was the transportation from DTD. The themed rooms and pools are perfect for young children. The little mermaid room was small and no coffee maker in the room. This is a very expensive resort for the quality, but my 5 year old enjoyed the lightning McQueen swiming pool. So overal it was worth it.

The hotel is beautiful and amenities are great. We stayed in the standard room which was ok. The beds are hard and blankets/pillows are not plush. I may try a suite next time to see if it is different. Overall, it was a great stay.

The grounds were awesome! The kids just loved the pools and playing in the "play areas" with the character statues. We were there when it was an unseasonably cool 50 degrees, and still went swimming on the last day of our stay so the kids could hear the characters under the water! Loved everything about the hotel, definitely first class. The only concern I had was that there are 6-8 different buildings on the premisis and ours was a good 10 minute walk away from the food and pool. The room is small, wet, dark, u can find dirt on tv and other furniture. Its decoration is for children. The thing I cannot stand is its fan. There's no control for the fan, so once u use the light of the restroom, the fan will work, and once the fan works, it would not stop until 20 minutes after turning off the light. It won't be annoyed in the day, […] but at night, when u want to sleep, it will be a disaster. Oh the most interesting thing is, the light is automatic, even u don't want to turn on the light, once u step into the restroom, it will turn on the light and fan!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is not good, don't expect for a good meal in Disney food court. Trust me, if u were a couple, without children, once u have other opportunity, don't choose this hotel. The Little Mermaid room we had was small, but comfortable. Our room was on the 1st floor, and it opened out to the grassy area near the parking lot. It was very quiet and peaceful. The food at the food court was very good, although it is chaotic in there! We always took our food to the outside tables which was pretty calm.

It's been a long time since I had to sleep 2 people in a double bed and I now remember why. For the price of the motel portion of the resort at least they could have queen beds. Just stayed at the Art of Animation this past weekend for the Disney Princess Half Marathon. The hotel was very clean and the staff was always helpful. The busses came pretty quick, but lines at the park for this hotel seemed to be long compared to other hotels. Loved all the sculptures and the decor of the rooms. The hotel is really nice with clean rooms and good food court and nice pools. I would have given it 5 stars but had to take away 1/2 star for lack of microwave in little mermaid room and 1/2 star for the layout of the various wings of the hotel. The little mermaid room is literally 1/2 mile walk from front desk.

This hotel was great! We only stayed 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We have 2 daughters ages 7 and 4 and they loved everything about this hotel. They are obsessed with everything Disney princess so the Ariel room was perfect. They got our room type wrong. We had to move rooms on the second day and they did nothing for inconvenience. It was my son's 4th birthday and we were told they would send a birthday card up to the room multiple times and never did.(Not a huge deal but then don't even say anything.) Lower cost Disney resort hotel but it was very clean and staff was nice and helpful. If you have issues getting around you may want to stay try staying in a building close to the cafeteria. The Little Mermaid rooms were quite a distance from the check in desk, buses and cafeteria.

I was stunned to discover our room had no cell service. When we asked to be moved, we were informed there is NO cell phone signal in ANY of the rooms. Other than that hotel is fabulous. Great food. A bit of a hike for transportation though.
