What a lovely hotel, great location. We booked a week through Travel Republic, as part of the package we booked BB and evening meal at a very competitive rate.. The rooms are modern bright and airy with a good air conditioner installed. The staff who have a limited knowledge of English were very patient with us when deciding what food we should get and it was arranged for English menu's to assist us (party of 4). The menu was varied but chips seemed to take the place of potatoes, which didn't seem right fritas were mentioned but patatas a lot of the time turned out to be chips! The menu was different every night, I was supposed to get ratatouille one night but got chips. The staff were brilliant all very pleasant, helpful and courteous at all times. Some nights they were run off there feet. Lorrete on reception (excuse the spelling) was marvellous with her perseverance in getting us a booking for the bat cave also was very good understanding us. The beds were a little hard for the other3 of party who are suffering from old age complaints but fine for me. The swimming pool was empty most of the week except at weekends when villages and wedding parties make good use of the facilities. I believe there were three celebrations on the Saturday and the following Friday( the noisiest ) it was wedding guests making hay until 2 in the morning, a little too late for other guests. There was also a little noise from the road nearby but this is not too severe I would strongly recommend anyone wanting to experience Andalucía to use this hotel 18 rooms only. Last but not least the village is only a stroll away all the locals were friendly as were people on the nearby old rail track out walking or cycling.
"Lovely relaxing hotel"

Have just stayed for a week at this hotel. Clean and modern, lovely staff who did their very best for us considering we don't speak or understand Spanish very well. They translated the menu into English for us so we could choose our meals. This hotel is in a good area for visiting the city of Cordoba and many other lovely towns in Andalusia.

A quite new hotel. Rooms are nice and clean. There is a 24/7 cafetaria, which we did not use, so can't comment on the quality. It looked nice, but too new, you don't really get the Spanish atmosphere. Right across the street is restaurant La Cantina situated in a former Railway station, which is very good. Only downside is that nobody spreaks English.

Nice location for hiking, cycing and mountain lovers, spacious and clean rooms, great views, excellent service, comfortable stay. The perfect value for money. P.S. the sea with beaches are very far away, so do not stay there if you are looking for that.
"PERFECT Hotel for a break - Go to Hotel Mencía Subbética"

Perfect Hotel for relaxing breaks in a wonderful setting with excellent facilities and superb service. All you need is available and/or taken care of. The ‘La Via Verde’ – The Green Way with little inclination, is in front of the Hotel for a hike or bike ride. The route of the former Olive Oil Train runs 58KM through one of the most beautiful sceneries of the Province of Cordoba. With more routes the Nature Park Subbetica itself, this is the exclusive venue to enjoy an atmosphere and ambience one seldom encounters. The Hotel staffs are young of age and surprisingly well experienced and dedicated for their jobs. And above all the value for your money will surprise you as we experienced. A quality wise very good restaurant and cafeteria is within the premises. No hassle to go elsewhere, it is at your fingertips and presented in a most pleasant way. Highly recommended: an initiative to be patronized and enjoyed by everyone who wants something special. You won’t be disappointed.

Hotel y sitio recomendable 100%.
