Nice hotel, near mall and restaurants. Breakfast is terrible. Cold cereal, bread, and some fruit. For $9 you can get cold scrambled eggs and oatmeal that looks like it can stick to walls. Fortunately IHOP was across the street.

The only reason that I did not give it an overall 5 star rating was because their "complimentary" breakfast was severely lacking. With that being said, their room was GREAT (especially the shower's water pressure). I would recommend staying there, just don't expect breakfast!

Very clean and nice Holiday Inn. You have to look a little to find the Hotel as its about 1 block behind the adjacent buildings. Very convenient - 10 minutes to the Va. It was the third time staying here. We came in for Christmas to see family and its a good close place to stay for us. Always clean and comfortable. Nice pool that we have not used yet and it looks to be a nice restaurant. A little noisy this time (kids jumping around above us), but there were a lot of people there due to the holidays. Always try to find a Holiday Inn Express (new or newly renovated) to stay when we travel, because we know the hotels will be clean, quiet and good customer service. This particular location was convenient to everything we needed during our stay--event location, restaurants, etc.

The Holiday Inn at Christiansburg is a full service hotel within walking distance of a very nice mall and several restaurants. The hotel itself is only a year old with a staff eager to please and very professional. The rooms are squeaky clean and very comfortable. Everything great except when I made reservation I requested Holiday Inn near Rt. 81. I specifically ask not Blacksburg area. I arrived at 3:30 am with wife and daughter very tired after long and stressful drive. Took 30 minutes to find since I had no GPS with me.

We stayed overnight on a vist to VT. The hotel is close to VT and surrounded by many chain restaurant choices. It's a bit difficult to find the hotel but not a problem if you have GPS. The room was huge and kept at an icy cold temperature (good because the comforter is exceptionally warm). My only beef with the hotel is the the description claims two […] Queen sized beds and I'm sure they were doubles. If Queen then they are smaller than normal. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. My daughter used the key to enter and boy were we surprised to see that it was already occupied by another couple. This hotel was a half way point during our travels to see family. Traveling with 2 small children required the stop/overnight stay. The hotel was very clean and quite with a great little indoor salt water pool. The staff was very nice and accomodating. We'll be back when we make our next trip to PA!

For the most part, the hotel is clean. There were a few small cleaning issues, at least I consider them small (a previous guest hair was in the comforter bag in the closet and I found another hair in the bathroom in the sink). As for the staff, they were always courteous and had a smile on their face. I guess if I did have a major complaint it would be the pool....well I will call it a pool. It's more like a huge jacuzzi or big kiddie pool. It's not that big. Oh I almost forgot. I will give it one huge plus. The location is perfect. I booked a room with 2 queen beds for 4 people. When we checked in and got to our room, the room was a king bed with a pull out couch. I went to the front desk seeking a room that we had requested. The lady at the desk at first was trying to get us to keep that room because all other rooms were booked. She tried to say that booking through Expedia doesn't […] guarantee the room type I had booked. I told her that we booked the room 2 months prior and that there was no way we were sleeping on a hotel couch for 2 nights. She was very confused with what to do. Apparently a single guy was waiting for his room, which happened to be a double bed room. At first, she switched us with him but then ended up upgrading us to a 2 bed suite because we were checked in and he wasn't. Whatever happened, happened.
