"Good option when name brand hotels are Sold Out"
I stayed here because it was one of very few options on Galveston Island of buying a room "same day". Location is great for doing bech stuff. Across a non busy street from a Walmart...and in a beach town...who doesn't go to Walmart. This Condo Hotel is a little dated...but I just wanted a clean place to stay...with a bonus of having a swimming pool. […] Victoria has 2. I had a nice quaint 1 BR condo with a kitchenette that I didn't use, but I'm sure families would really appreciate on vacation. Most rooms have a small view of the ocean.****TIP: Keep the map of the complex they give you at check in. The complex is large and building numbers seem to be a little random in order. "enjoy our stay had stay there many years ago"
was somewhat disaapointed with the condo. In 1996 it was a little nicer. kitchen area doors and drawers did not close right,Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel location on website was incorrect. Address was empty lot and hotel was approx 5 miles away; distance to sightseeing/beach manageable only by car. Sliding door lock to balcony broken, only had security bar to secure door. Stove difficult to operate as temperature could not be regulated. Furniture pretty beat up BUT bed comfortable, hallways quiet […] and bathroom very clean. Ample closet space and safe for valuables available in room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Builden was old and needed work. The room were small and costly. You can get better places for the same money.Genuine Expedia guest review
"To the Beach"
Overall very pleasant, but not a 3-4 star. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a fridge in the room. The only item that was negative, was that the ice machine was a couple of buildings away that made it not so convenient to get ice in the evening. But if you don't use ice, you are good to go.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"ok hotel for weekend stay in Galveston"
Overall the room was ok not a 5 star but definitely at least a 3 star .... really only thing dissatisfied with was the bed and bedding . Pillows looked old as well as bedding. If those things taken care of then everything would of been great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great views and great location"

"Ocean view Condo a few minutes from Pleasure Pier & main attractions."
Older condo Our unit had recently been updated-key when reading description Nice pools & property Down from main attractions, so may be more quiet. A nice walk for adults, but the city doesn't clean the sea weed in front of the wall this far down and the smell of dead fish was horrific.
"This place is hideous"
I will just enumerate my issues with this place. 1. The room cannot sleep 6 people. The room is extremely small. 2. The dishwasher is so old I wasn't sure it worked, so I handwashed all dishes. 3. The refrigerator worked but the freezer didn't work. When we lowered the temperature everything froze. 4. Do not leave any food on the counter because there are ants everywhere. No matter what we did we couldn't get rid of those ants. I was constantly wiping down the counters. 4. Anywhere where there was metal, it was rusted. 5. When we turned on the stove ants came running out of the stove. 6. A minor issue: the doors were facing the wrong way to make it easy to load and unload our car. 7. The decor on the room was very nice in the 80's. 8. The staff that I interacted were very nice.

My family and I stayed in room 6303. I have to say this place was great. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was always very friendly. The hotel service overall was awesome!! I can't forget the pools and the hot tubs. They are nice and always kept clean. I love that they have a pool mainly for kids and then one where the adults can just kick back and relax! I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family if they ever chose to go to Galveston!

We stayed two nights on New Years Eve and New Years day. Our reservations were though the hotel. The cable is fuzzy and some channels or not visable. The TV in the bedroom did not work. It is conveniently located by Walmart and several eating places. Overall it's OK and have stayed at alot worse. It's in line with other older Galveston hotels, they all need updates.
"Our worst hotel experience ever."
We had dirty towels put on our room door step with "human waste" in them. I'm not blaming the management for that. But when I complained to the "NICE" lady at front desk , she didn't even apologize, she actually gave me an attitude. Will never be there again. I rather spending more money and go to a CLEAN place with CLEAN people who know about cusyomer service or staying home. Put a side that we didn't get any room service during a three nights stay. Terrible terrible terrible
"I think my travel trailer was bigger...seriously!"

After reading the reviews I was very apprehensive about even staying here. But it was free and the town was packed for an annual event called Dickens on the Strand so I decided to risk it. I was bringing hubby and 4 kids, It was supposed to sleep 6 and it did, barely. Only because 2 of them were small and could share a twin bed that was supposed to be a bunk and wasn't. We used to own a 31' travel trailer and the bedroom was larger than the one in this condo, plus it was queen size, not full like here. There was 1 nightstand and not enough room for anything else. The kitchen has a 2 burner stove and a small fridge. The table was also like our camper with a bench and 2 chairs for seating. There was also a small living room with a pull-out sofa and a balcony with 2 cheap chairs. The "view" was obstructed by Palm trees so you barely got a glimpse of any water. On the bright side, there was a cute courtyard with a fountain and Christmas lights. Very festive! It was relatively clean and had enough towels. One comment my kids made as we walked down the hall to our room, past the iron doors at each doorway, "are these jail doors?" Despite the palm decor on the iron, it did resemble a jail door! Overall, it was adequate and ok for a night or two, but I would never recommend it to my friends. It is in need of remodeling and repair. The only thing they seem to do to it is slap up some paint and throw in some cheap carpet. Everything in the room is old, probably original to the 25 year , or more building. I saw no bugs and slept ok on the bed, but unless you really have no better options, avoid this place.
"Stay Away from This Place"
We checked in last night at 10:00 pm and are trying to get out of here as soon as possible this morning. We're staying in a hotel rented unit. The unit is not well maintained and needs many repairs (holes in the curtains, paint peeling, old trashed laminate furniture, etc, etc). I have serious doubts about the cleanliness of this place as well. Yuck... Is all I can say. The management of this property should be ashamed of charging for such poor quality. There is no way we would ever stay or recommend this place again....stay far far away!

The location was great. The room was clean. The décor was awful. The curtains were in poor taste and falling off the window. The furniture looked like it should be outside for trash pick up. I refused to sit on the stained sofa. The heater did not work. The bed spread was faded. I arrived at 10 pm Saturday night and checked out at 7 AM Sunday morning.
"I'm just saying"

Check-in went faster than we expected. Stayed there with a large group of people, did not come across a single problem that I could think of other than they need to air condition the pool area. Was a hot. late July weekend, but I'm just saying! Will definetly return, the view of the Gulf was perfect.
"Great ocean view - nice location."

We stayed in an owner operated unit and loved it. The location was good and the unit was fixed up nicely by the owner. No issues with complex either - the pools and grounds were well kept.. The one bedrooms are tight on square footage, but with 3 people we were comfortable - 6 would be a little cramped in my opinion. The condos don't have full kitchens unless an owner added them - but the 2 burner cooktop, microwave, and mini-fridge allow for simple meal preparation. Parking under the building keep the car a bit cooler, but it is tight for bigger vehicles. There are plenty of spaces in the open for those, plus a designated cruise parking area for those wanting to leave a vehicle. The location is next to shopping (walmart) and restaurants abound up and down the street. The beach in galveston isn't the greatest, but there are lots of other fun things to do here like museums. Galveston may not be the best place for you if you want a super nice beach, but if you are here for other reasons then this is a nice place to stay! It is easy to get across the the street here to the seawall thanks to nearby stop lights. Some of the hotels are located a long walk from the nearest stoplights! Since we dealt directly with the unit owner to rent, we did not have a lot of interaction with the hotel staff. When we did go ask questions at the desk, they were friendly enough and the maintainance/security staff was always polite. Our only complaint - lack of recycling facilities on the island. We couldn't find a place to put our cans/bottles other than in the trash. Overall, we enjoyed our stay because we knew what to expect when coming here. Owner units will vary in quality and price, so make sure you know what you are booking before coming!
