Hotel was very good for the price, nice room with en suite which was tiny, you could barely turn around. otherwise brilliant. Only one down side take some good ear plugs as the church across the square chimes twice hourly, once about 5 minutes before the hour and then again on the hour ALL NIGHT and one ring on the half hour. Also lots of steep stairs. lovely old town very quaint

Fantastic location, extremely good restaurant. An initial problem with the air conditioning was dealt with very amicably.

"Coffee in the old town square"
10/04/15 krhBedfordshire bedfordshire
We visited twice for a coffee and the second time tried out some of the pastries on display. We chose the almond biscuits which were made on the premises and which were delicious. As other people have commented, the staff are very friendly and this adds to the experience.

Authentic spanish hospitality in a restored hotel/restaurant at a great position in the old town. Staff was very polite and friendly, rooms were cleaned and maintained all the time. The food we had at the restaurant was superb. We had amazing time at Fonda Llabres, will surely return whenever we visit this charming town again.

"Nice Hotel"

We stayed there 5 days and it was really nice. The room was clean and the air conditioning is just perfect with the Spanish climate. Located in the really center of Alcudia with everything near by. I recommend it for the price and the quality you get for it.

"Great clean stay in great location "

Hotel is clean, and in a great location. This was my first time in Mallorca and I would defiantly come back to this hotel. It was clean and in a great location in the center of this perfect old Spanish town. A great base for my stay. Close to mountains and beaches. Rooms are cleaned daily and there is AC. The hotel is right in the center of the old town, parking is near if needed. Rooms were €50 per night for 2 with a private bathroom.

The hostel is OK. I think this is the best word to discribe it. :D Nothing special, but nothing bad, OK value for money. We stayed for one night, leaving early the next morning. Location is amazing, in the picturesque old town, plenty of beautiful restaurants around. The old town area is really magical. The check-in was smooth, the receptionist helpful with providing info on buses, taxies, etc. Room was a bit worn out (old furniture) and quite small, as was the bathroom too. But for one night it was OK. I usually dont mention little bad things, but I really disliked the smell of the room. Some kind of "old" smell, blahhh. Luckily, after some hours of open window, it got better. :D Cleanliness was quite OK, the view was to the back of the building, to some rooftops, but we asked for a quiet room ourselves, so it was fine. :D In the morning at 7am, there was nothing open in the street, and the waitress told me they have no breakfast either, so i just took a chocolate cake with coffee, which were both delicious. Dont be surprised, if some staff members dont speak English :D they are all very helpful though, and I found it funny to try to speak Spanish :D

"Excellent room for a low offseason price"

My room (#1) was really perfect, I actually got a free upgrade because I had booked a room with shared bathroom. The only minor weaknesses: - The cable Tv is Spanish only - The restaurant is closed in the evening (lunch only).

Nice place to have a bed and couple of beer with tapas in the old town. Small, simple and clean rooms with air conditioner. 40 euro for a double room. Friendly personal. Good selection of brands in the bar. Optimal choice if You are traveling and want to stay for couple of nights.

"Amazing location, great food but choose your room carefully..."

We travelled to Alcudia for the Mallorca Ironman race so I really only needed somewhere to sleep, shower and collapse. We could only get a late flight so were due to arrive at midnight or just after. I emailed and called the hotel 3 times to ask if they could accommodate a late check-in but there was no response to emails and I got a "no hablar Ingles" response on the phone. Now these are Spanish people in Spain so why should they speak English? However it did hinder me getting the answers I needed. We arrived at 00:30 and there was someone cleaning and let us in. The room (number 16) was clean but cat swinging was definitely out. There was a 1' gap either side of a small double bed and then a further 4' at the end of the bed to the wardrobe. The bathroom was also very small with a bath which was effectively a deep shower tray. Again it was clean and functional. That is until my other half flushed the loo which then jammed open so the sound of running water and a non-flushable loo resulted. I took the top of the cistern off and fixed it but the noise it made woke the poor chap next door who got up and complained due to the astonishing ability for the walls to amplify sound. The air conditioning worked well and cooled the room down quickly (it didn't have too much to do in fairness) but it made an awful noise, rattling and groaning. So it was a case of freeze, switch off, sleep, bake, wake up, switch on, freeze, repeat. The view was of a terrace at the back via some air con pipework but I was not there for views. I am sure there are better rooms but I'd ask about which one you are allocated first. The staff were lovely and were appreciative of my attempts at Spanish and despite ordering 2 balloons and a bucket of wasps for breakfast, they got what I was really aiming at and the food was lovely. It is also priced really well for what you get. This is not a complaint about Hotel Fonda Llabres. It is in a lovely location in the middle of a lovely town run by lovely people. Just be mindful of what you are getting before you go.

"Definitely worth another visit"
09/05/14 Kai W
We've been to the restaurant of this hotel twice this holiday, since we quite liked it last year and we liked to visit it again. Also it's quite affortable compared to some other restaurants around. The first night we had a nice dinner. I had an amazing rare baked entrecote for a very reasonable price (around 14 euros) and my wife had a seabass. She was a bit disappointed, as she thought it was a bit bitter, but my amazing entrecote made up for it all. I think we had the same wonderfull waitress as mentioned earlier in the comments. The real mother type with a nice sense of good humour! Today we've been again, for lunch this time. I had a very nice pizza al tuna (Sicilia) and my wife had a caesar salad, which she also quite liked. This time there was a different waitress, but she was as wonderful as the waitress we met before. Next time we'll definitely come back again!
