Hollywood Beachside Boutique Suites

We chose this motel based on location to the beach and boardwalk and based on the reviews. This motel did not disappoint. Location, was perfect! Staff so helpful. The first night our bed broke (from sitting on it) and the front desk allowed us to stay in another room for the night. The next morning our bed was quickly repaired with no issues. Beach […] chairs and towels provided which was great. Not alot of cutlery in our kitchen, but they easily accomodated with whatever we needed. The room was clean and bathroom clean. Parking was available for $10/day which was great as there is no parking available close to the beach. Our friends came to visit and got parking for the day, no issues. Grounds very well kept. Always someone working on gardens etc. But the pool needed some help. The birds took it over and the edge of pool was covered in bird doo doo. But they were entertaining to watch as they used the pool for their giant bird bath. We still sat out there but did not swim in pool which was not heated and cold. Even though the info about this hotel states that it has been recently 'renovated', saying that is a huge stretch. The 'boutique' description is again, misleading. The minimalist 'boutique' decor is downright barren and almost depressing. The air conditioning unit in our room had been poorly attended to with some sort of caulking or plaster having spilled […] out the side and just painted over. The window blinds are of poor quality and the sun came streaking in very early and woke us up. It did have a fairly well equipped small kitchenette and ironing board and iron and hair dryer. The window in the shower had a huge patch of something black in one corner, either mold or dirty caulk. The location of the hotel was very good, not directly on the beach, but a very short walk to the boardwalk. The beach boardwalk in the area is somewhat 'junky' with lots and lots of worn and tired bars and restaurants that looked a bit suspect in their cleanliness. The grounds of the Beachside Boutique Suites were neat and clean, but again, very old and tired looking. The swimming pool was super super small and right on the main drag, out front of the hotel. The one thing I will say that this hotel does have in it's favor, that lacks in many 4 and 5 star hotels was the staff .hey could not have been more friendly, or polite, or willing to immediately fulfill any request made of them. When we checked in, the girl at the fron desk was very friendly. About two hrs after we checked in, our bed broke...we were just lying on it-that's it. Anyway, I went down to the desk to let them know and there was another girl there-also extremely friendly. The only bummer for us was no tv in the bedroom and when we pulled the sofa bed out to create a lounge around space where the tv is there were seed and nut shells under the couch cushions from a previous guest's stay. It was perfect location and perfect size. It is an older motel/hotel but size was perfect. Calling it a boutique is a great name. A short walk to the beach, boardwalk, bandstand, restaurants and shops. We will definitely look to stay here again.

So glad we stayed here. So many of the old Hollywood Beach hotels look drab from the front but the pics on Expedia told me that the entire place had been remodeled. Our 1BR was more than adequate (we only stayed one night) but I could definitely see spending a long weekend or a full week there, especially since it had a fully equiped kitchen. The bed […] was very comfortable. Best of all, the place was spotless. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and we had plenty of hot water. The only thing missing is the view but for what you're paying you are getting a real value. The beach is only a block away. We barely heard the road noise from A1A because the air conditioner drowned out all the noise. Had a lovely 3 day stay at Hollywood Beachside Boutique Suites. Great area- walked to beach for dinner, close drive to Sun Life Stadium. Suite was very nice and had what we needed for our stay. Loved that we were walking distance to great restaurants on Ocean Drive or on the Beach. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Will return for another stay.

The location is great. There is a broken towel rack in the bathroom. There is no way to block the light coming from outside. There is no alarm clock in the room.

It served my purpose for the conference I was attending, but as an in-state resident of Florida, I was embarrassed and angry that this is what we provide tourists for their accommodations in Hollywood, Florida. These little "hotels" are nothing more than a mini-motel with all the charm of a college dormitory in the worst neighborhood possible. Perhaps […] the younger set with very little money and not interested in much else but the beach, like these places, but I found them depressing. Lastly, the hotel tried to rip me off by charging me for not checking out by 12 noon or by 3 pm, but the manager did not charge me because she knew I was at the conference at the Westin Diplomat. As a Florida resident, I was incensed at that prospect of being ripped off. Because I did not check out in time they bagged my belongings and left them in the hotel office, and three shirts and a pair of shorts were left behind, which they are mailing to me, I hope. I arrived in town early and decided to go straight to the hotel to see if they would let me check in early. It was 1:45pm when I arrived at the hotel. They said my room wasn't ready (which was fine since I knew check in was at 3pm), so I left my luggage and went out to lunch. This is an old hotel, renovated several months ago, but it's still does not offer the comforts of a newer hotel. There is an extra parking fee. It's OK if you want a short, walking distance to the nice Hollywood beach; otherwise, for the price, you can find something more suitable.

I was just staying overnight before flying out of FLL. Check-in went smoothly with help getting my boarding pass printed. Evening was pleasantly spent walking along the boardwalk area where there were lots of restaurants, live music, and a beautiful full moon rising over the ocean!

Very nice place to stay, they've done a good job remodeling. My only complaint is the bed was very uncomfortable..oh and one more, they charge $100 deposit when you arrive if you smoke in the rooms (which we didn't). Smoking is allowed anywhere on the property but not in the rooms.
