being greeted at the counter by "snow" the Labrador was the best... The owners were nice the room was decent better than a motel 6 and a great price.. will be back soon!!!!!!! A great place

Close to all activities I needed to do. Room has fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, TV, Free internet & free breakfast. Sound-proofing could have been better. But overall this is still a budget motel Great if you just need a stop for the night

This is an older building and they have managed to spruce it up without a complete remodel. The exception may be the bathroom, it looked to be more modern than the rest of the room. I read the other reviews and they're all accurate. The room I stayed in was decently furnished and clean. The price was excellent: $33 with tax! Good to stay a night at. Nothing fancy. Overpriced. The breakfast was just cheap pastry with corn syrup, small bottles of apple juice, tea/coffee. Linens and towels were very clean. WiFi connection was unexpectedly fast.

This is an expensive motel reasonably close to shopping, stateline and the casinos. It is a owner occupied small motel. The owners are very nice and so is their dog. The small rooms are clean. The full size bed was small but comfortable. It does not have a swimming pool. Downside- it is located right on highway 50 the main road through South Lake Tahoe. […] Bring your new set of earplugs. It was quieter between 1:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. To be fair there are a lot of hotels in the area that face this road and they will all be subject to traffic noise. The inadequate dead bolt was broken, the door lock could easily be shimmied opened with a credit card. We used a chair to wedge against the door knob for security. The smoke alarm was inoperable, the owners cheerfully replaced the battery. The continental breakfast was lame. They offered Costco small boxed juices, fresh coffee and small "Svengard" brand pastries wrapped in plastic. There was no fresh fruit available. A suggestion to the owners- since you shop at Costco, why not provide your guests with Costco fresh baked assorted muffins? Overall it was an inexpensive, small, but clean motel room. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean. For the rate I felt I got everything I needed. There was a tv, microwave and mini fridge. The bed was a little soft, but all in all I had a great experience.

I have been in some questionable hotels and hostels, but this place was by far the worst. The place is disgusting. We received a key at check-in for a room that turned out to be occupied. When I tried the key the door popped open and there was a man in his underwear smoking like a chimney in the room. We went back down to reception to ask if we had […] been given the wrong room, but they said it was right. When we asked why there was someone in there, they said, "Oh, he must have gotten a key somehow". They were completely unfazed that there was someone in the room they told us to go to. We were reassigned to another room that had a simple push-button lock on the door (no deadbolt) and a door to the next room that had no lock and was secured simply by placing the TV stand in front of it. The bed covers were stained and the bathroom door wouldn't close. In addition, the window facing the walkway seemed to have been affixed there in an area where there was once a door. I cannot stress enough that no one should book this hotel unless you want to sit up all night worrying that someone will push your door open and steal your things and/or assault you. Read more

The hotel is in a great location, but is a perfect example that you get what you pay for. No AC in August made for a very uncomfortable room, there's no TV remote (about 12 channels total), but it did come with a small fridge and microwave, which is always nice. Pretty low-rate hotel, but on par with the cost.

The price was good, and that was our main draw. However, the room was not throughly cleaned. It smelled of stale cigarettes even though it was a no smoking room. There was no A?C, so we baked in our room all night. You had to jiggle the handle when you went to rest room or else it wouldn't flush and would run constantly. Also, when you showered the […] water would run all over the bathroom floor because there was only a small fabric shower curtain in the shower stall. However, the location was within walking distance to the main attractions in Tahoe and it did come with a microwave and an empty mini fridge, which was nice because we stayed there for several days and having food in our room cut down on eating costs. Wow - You really get what you pay for here! This place is old and really dumpy! The shag carpet has seen better days and the shower door almost fell on me. The windows are hard to close and dirty. The chairs are filthy. The bathroom has so much plaster that you can tell they have been trying to prevent upgrading the darn rooms. The TV in our room […] did not have a remote. I called the front desk and asked where the remote would be hidden - their answer, "sorry no remote in your room". So bottom line, if you want a cheap room in Tahoe this is your place. This is a motel that is undergoing renovation. Some of the rooms are ok, after being remodeled, others need work. If you're not staying a long time, and get a good rate, then it is worth it, especially if you get a remodeled room and only plan to sleep there.
