The hotel was nice, clean & the staff were friendly, however I found it to be very overpriced for a 4 star hotel, (I'd give it 3) room was very small, no facilities (food is forbidden in the room)! We normally stay at the Rome Cavalieri but due to the late booking it was unavailable, this hotel was in the same price bracket but a world apart when it […] comes to the experience / facilities. No real complaints but wont be returning unless they reduce their rates by 90%! Overall we liked the Residenza Romanico Luxury which is a few doors down from the main hotel in a private residence. The room was nice a bit smaller than anticipated and no bath available. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly not impressed with the fact that rooms are expensive yet you still have to pay for internet access: E5 an hour […] or E20 for 24 hours, which is excessive. Secondly for a romantic getaway you don't want to be disturbed in the morning with phonecalls whether the cleaning lady can come and clean the room. I have never stayed in a hotel where they did that. Thirdly I found the receptionnists a bit rude especially as a multi-racial couple. Read more

i recommend this hotel. well located, exquisite rooms. b'fast is poor though. no hit food at all. only cricism about the room is that double bed is two singles placed side by side. not great for honeymooners :-)

Usually I don't look forward to writing reviews about hotels - after all, most hotels really are comfortable or at least offer better rates in compensation. Neither is true for Residenza Romanico Luxury. I was so appalled by my experience at the hotel that I feel it is my Christian duty to explain why you should consider a different hotel. The Room: Odds […] are that you are considering the hotel, because you have seen the room - like we did - and you're thinking: the wife would very love this! Or, this is so romantic! Unfortunately this is pretty far from the truth: - a constant sound of "rain", which is in fact running water from the hotels plumbing. - poor room-to-room sound isolation. We could hear both the conversation of our neighbors - and, well, their more "amorous conversations". The hotel is not a hotel as such, but a converted apartment building with the reception located in an entirely different building - which explains the permanent kitchen-scent when opening the windows and the poor sound insulation. - What's a romantic vacation without room-service, right? A must when my fiancee and I pick hotels - "room service" consisted of a rude voice, stating that they have wine or coffee. The one good thing about the room was the bathroom, which was clean and spacious. The Service: In so many words: Dreadful. When you're paying at least 130 Euros a night, you wouldn't expect that the personel would have such a hard time smiling. - Upon arriving at the hotel, the portier offered to carry our luggage. Initially I declined, but he insisted, and I figured I would let the young guy earn a couple of euros. We had just arrived following 8 hours of transit, so it didn't take much convincing. He said 2 minutes - after 25 minutes I went looking for my luggage. Room cleaning consists of a woman (non-smiling of course) knocking and rudily asking, when you will vacate the room. Jeg og min samboer dro på tur den 31.12.11 for å være i Roma i flere dager. Etter å ha sett bildene av rommene på Hotels.com bestemte jeg meg for dette hotellet. Vi kom frem til noe som minnet om boden til disse rommene. Rommet lå i tillegg ut mot hovedgata med mye støy som gjorde det vanskelig å sove. I tillegg var det et ødelagt boblebadekar på badet. Jeg […] valgte bevisst dette hotellet bare pga. de fine rommene. Skulle jeg valgt igjen, hadde jeg heller tatt et hotell nærmere feks. Colosseum. Greit å vite om Roma: -Det finnes ikke TaxFree når du kommer inn til Ciampino (flyplass i Roma). -Du må ha italiensk ID for å kjøpe sigaretter etter klokken 19:00. Read more
