Chelsea Motor Inn - Coffs Harbour

The Chelsea Motor Inn is a 3 star property, I received a very pleasant welcome, the room was clean, the bathroom/toilet was clean, a good shower, the queen size bed was comfortable, an ironing board and iron in the room and there were tea and coffee making facilities. So all in all, a pleasant place to stay, close to the centre of Coffs Harbour and […] most facilities (clubs, hotels, shops etc). But . . . . . that's where the problem lies, the road noise kept me awake most of the night - the motel is situated on the main highway through Coffs Harbour (Pacific Highway) and the noise of endless semi-trailers passing by all through the night was enough to stop me from sleeping. Add to that the noise of party goers leaving the nearby hotel in the early hours of the morning, the odd hoon roaring up and down the highway in a hot car/motorcycle and by the time I got out of bed in the morning, I felt like I had been awake all night. The rest of the group I had visited Coffs Harbour with made exactly the same comments about the noise and we were all spread out in several motels along the same stretch of highway. My/our recommendation - don't stay in any motel situated along Grafton Street (Pacific Highway). Read more

The Motel was everything you would expect average throughout. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were average but adequate and clean. The Motl is conveniently located for the little town of Coffs Harbour but the Harbor itself is some distance away. Vi kom efter sista incheckning (kl 21) men det var inga problem, de hade öppet för oss och var hur trevliga som helst. Rummet på bottenplan var stort och fint med bord och stolar utanför.
