"Close to Airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 26, 2012
Only a phone call for a pick up from airport. close to main roads. Lovely, self-service breakfast. Comfie beds
"Good Location and Helpful staff."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 24, 2012
We were traveling with the family and a quiet hotel is important to us. The hotel was very centrally located, 10 mins walk from the rogers center and 5 mins from the harbourfront. The hotel was nicely decorated, with attentive staff, the wifi was of a good standard and there were computers to use in the lobby if you did not have your own. The hotel was a couple of minutes walk from the bus station and a few minutes walk from the train station, we found an underground food court with lots of options just a few minutes walk away that offered good value and tasty dining. W had breakfast included in our stay and that offered a nice selection of good breakfast foods. The pool was small but usually quiet and the spa was lovly and hot. We would happily stay in the hotel again.

"Old mill inn"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 23, 2012
Reasonable price compared with inner city hotels with only a $3 short train ride to toronto city. Nice surrounding area with walks along river. Good food, especially the sunday night buffet. Very nice bathroom with great shower, although the whirlpool bath was a little noisy with the whirlpool setting turned on which put us off using it a little. The only thing I can really fault were the few places to hang things up and store empty luggage: no coat hooks, only a small wardrobe with a couple of coat hangers and only one hook in the bathroom for towels with no where else to hang them. Very minor point in an otherwise great stay.

"Hotel ocho, toronto"
staff were helpful and friendly, meals and drinks available throughout day and late into the night. great location also quiet enough to have a good sleep in a fabulous bed. great shower
"Pretty good"
No real complain except the hotel doesnt feel like a hotel at all... High price for very little... Horrible WiFi... Easy parking... Good location... Just feels a lil more like a hostel than a boutique hotel... Kinda like a budget boutique motel with higher end boutique hotel prices...
"Hotel Ocho,Toronto.Simple urban chic"
Cool simple rooms.beds are comfy.A great place if you won't be spending a lot of time in the room. You are close to everything cool, like king and queen west area or Blue jay games. The rooms are very simple but have no fridge, ice bucket or real usable space other than the bed.

"excellent location, cool environment"
mixing business and pleasure was so easy here. i was able to transition from my workday - on the ground floor - meeting with clients in the entrance level - to relaxing in my room- to cocktails in the lounge to dinner with friends. highly recommend it. staff is helpful and competent.
"Ocho is adorable"
I stayed here for 2 nights. Simply put, this is an adorable place. Super modern, nicely appointed. Fantastic eatery on the ground floor. Good staff. The location was perfect. You are right in the heart of things and somehow it is still quiet. Would totally stay here again. The only downfall, no breakfast (just cereal and stuff like that). I would have […] liked a hot breakfast coz that is the way I roll. Read more

"Hotel ocho - good stay"
At first we were a little disappointed , overnight flight arrived early at the hotel but couldn't even obtain access into the building . Stood outside in the cold and rain until an employee finally arrived . Doors are locked from 2 am to 7 am . Once we got inside we were told that a room was vacant but they couldn't give it to us even though we were […] up all night . Luckily we got hold of a manager and that's where everything got better . They gave us the room , the stay was nice , quiet so we had good rest . Room service was nice too. Overall it was a very nice stay . Good location good staff . Read more

"Charming place, wonderful service"
Just returned home from a lovely stay at this charming hotel in Toronto's Chinatown. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and truly felt like home. The service was exceptional, the staff made sure that everything we needed was available and were very welcoming and happy to answer our questions. They even sent us up to our room with a bottle of […] bubbly on our last evening! If you're in Toronto and want to be near the west end, I highly recommend Hotel Ocho. Read more
"GREAT COZY HOTEL IN A NICE LOCATION IN TORONTO!!"
I stayed at Ocho Hotel in Toronto for 5 days and the design of the facilities, quality of the food and the kindness of their personnel really impressed me. I will stay in this hotel everytime I go to Toronto. Congratulations to Ocho Hotel!
"Hotel Ocho in Toronto"
This was presented to me, upon my arrival, as a small, recently reno,'d, family-run hotel located within convenient walking distance of a number of major city sites (eg. AGO, ROM). The room was very nice but I had several issues with my overnight stay: 1) no hotel parking except for paid parking next door (hotel owner said best to leave my car down […] the block in an underground parkade). I finally left my car at Toronto City Hall underground parkade which I know is very safe about 4+ blocks away. 2) poor lunch special; tiny hamburger that almost disappeared in a large (yet tasty) bun. 3) room was great with nice layout but poor lighting; great if you are going to relax or entertain but lousy lighting if you are there on business (which I was) or even want to read the newspaper in the evening. 4) room blind jammed. 5) bath tub is huge but tasteful; nice tub with a cheap drain plug that got stuck; beats me how to get it out so I left it full of water. Unusual feel to the hotel as the registration desk is this tiny table in what is a subbasement with windows, under the staircase. You have to go down several steps to get to registration, cutting through the restaurant area. Very modern hip looking lounge on the 2nd floor but no one there. Hotel to me seems to have been designed by someone who wanted a cool restaurant and lounge and then a cool hotel as an add-on. I would have put the lounge on the first floor as you walk straight into a registration area (without stairs) and put the restaurant on the 2nd floor. Certainly has potential but it needs management that has extensive hotel management experience plus a few more bucks for a few things like lamps. Read more
"Great Boutique style hotel but no room service"
This is a beautiful loft boutique style hotel. We have actually eaten and had drinks with friends at the lounge downstairs in the past without even knowing it was a also hotel. The room was fantastic and a great value considering the location and style. The only downside is that there is really no room service as far as food goes. However, you can go […] downstairs and order drinks and food and bring it up to you room yourself. If you need anything such as extra towels, ironing board, etc the staff is quick to respond. One of the best hotels in Toronto I have ever stayed in. Read more
"Happy Surprise!"
What a neat property! Affordable. Convenient. Clean & upscale. (and the restaurant food was good too) I'll definitely stay again.
"Great location in downtown Toronto"
Fantastic service from hotel staff- very friendly and helpful. Hotel walls are adorned with modern art, a refreshing change from the usual hotel art. Food was good for dinner- they only serve coffee and croissants for breakfast but there's a great coffee place a few doors down so not a problem. The bar area downstairs is used by designer types for meetings […] in the day and is transformed into a hip bar at the weekend with drinks specials and live music. Expected to hear the noise of the bar in my room but didn't hear anything... Read more
"Amazing! My new favorite hotel in Toronto"
If I could give this hotel 6 stars, I would. I travel for business and hotels just start looking like one another. Not Hotel Ocho. It's beautifully decorated. I adored my bathroom (and the rain showerhead- I want to get the same exact one for my house). At first I wasn't sure about the huge window overlooking Spadina but it was quite and dark at night […] in the room. Also, at first the hotel just looks like a cafe but it is a hotel and the cafe is so comfortable that I ended up spending time downstairs after dinner with coffee and a book. The hotel is quite a bit from Bay and Wellington (about a 20-25 minute walk) but cabs are easy to get and not that expensive if you don't feel like walking after a full day. Also, there is amazing Asian food all around for dinner. All in all, I wish my bedroom and bathroom at home looked this nice, every employee I met was extremely nice and helpful, the neighborhood is fun and very yummy, and this has become my new favorite hotel in Toronto. "nice hotel"
Our room was small, but very clean and appeared newly renovated. The building was beautiful. Nice restaurant and bar downstairs-a little noisy at night in the room, but it didn't really bother us. Parked cheap in an outdoor lot right next door. I would definitely stay there again.
"Great boutique hotel experience"
The combination of a comfortable, modern room, spacious and bright shower and bathroom, and a great bar/restaurant downstairs made for a great experience. The staff in the restaurant as well as the check-in staff (coincidentally the same!) were great. I will be back when I have to stay in Toronto again.
"Hotel Ocho - China Town Gem"
Pros: Very friendly owner and staff. Great design throughout the hotel. Very spacious room with good placement of furniture. (love the open concept!) Overall clean room. Very good restaurant in hotel. Close to everything. Bixi bike rentals in front of hotel. Cons: Glasses in bathroom were dirty/used when I arrived. Very loud over the weekend (Friday […] & Saturday nights). I was woken up two times by drunk guests in the hallway at midnight and drunk kids outside attempting to ride the Bixi bikes at 4am. (Obviously somewhat entertaining/hilarious, but not great when needing sleep) Check in desk not the most organized space and a little strange as noted in previous reviews. One inattentive/spaced out waitress. Just needs a little fine tuning and this place will be top notch. Again, very nice owner and great spaces within the hotel. Overall I enjoyed my stay and have already recommended this hotel to a friend and industry peer. Read more

"Newly renovated cool hotel in Toronto"
Probably an old warehouse , this fully renovated design hotel is very cool and trendy and fairly well located in the old part next to the fashion district. Reasonably priced for Toronto, good service. Only black mark: the breakfast : only coffee and scones and muffins. Recommended
"Hotel OCHO-- a must in Toronto!"
This is a REAL boutique hotel. 12 rooms. VERY personal service, fantastic restaurant. I've never been treated better ANYWHERE. The neighborhood is edgy--Chinatown meets Hipsterville, but it all works like magic. Only downside--no onsite parking--you have to walk about 3 blocks to a public parking facility (but, bonus, at $18 night, its a bargain). Great […] shopping, restaurants, nightlife all within walking. Oh, don't forget to ask about the use of the public bicycles--they'll hook you up. I love this place and will be back. Read more
"Great style and location"
My wife and I recently stayed in Toronto for a weekend getaway... Our accomadations at the Hotel Ocho were wonderful! The very freindly staff had a lot of knowledge of the surrounding neigborhoods and the local culture in general. The room was very modern, stylish and comfortable...though just a little noisy due to the AC in the wall and the bar at […] street level...though not enough to be a problem...the fabulous bed and pillows took care of that! Just a 2 minute walk from great shopping and food on Queen St. the location couldn't have been better for a fantastic weekend of great fun, food and new friends! Cheers to the great city of Toronto and to the Hotel Ocho... Highly Reccomended!!!!!! Chris, Cleveland USA Read more
