Needs updating. Carpet needs cleaning or replacing. The free WIFI needs fixing as it did not work while we were there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Acceptable, but no gold stars. Room was not serviced after first night (though we did leave it a bit late, i.e., about 9am)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Convenient - near all places we were visiting in Fish Creek and Ephraim.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Would only recommend for one-night stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a bad place..."
The room smelled a little "musty," not sure if it hadn't been open in a while, but the weather was nice outdoors and after having the windows open, it was fine. It had the feel of a 70's type property, nothing fancy, but the wi-fi was fine and the property was well maintained. Just across the road from Penninsula State Park, 1/2 mile out of Fish Creek. […] The weather was nice and all in all it was a good stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Parkwood Lodge - Fish Creek, WI"
Lodge was comfortable & clean. Close to Penninsula State Park Entrance (not walking, but driving). No amenities, like shampoo, hair dryers; so make sure you bring your own. No frills, but definitely would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very happy with the stay at Parkwood, staff very friendly and helpful. Place is dated, but felt it was very clean and kept up. Would come back again , loved the location, like the quiet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and convenient"
Parkwood was a comfortable and convenient place to stay. It was easy check-in and out and our room was quiet and looked out over a huge lawn. The room was freshly painted and nice-sized. That said, the carpet was not very clean and in need of replacement as were the bedspreads and lampshades. We had to call the front desk the night of our arrival as […] the refrigerator was leaking, and the staff came quickly. We were not in the room much as there was so much to see and do! 1st timers to Door County Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our room was quite nice, as was the pool. The employees were terrific!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
In general the place was great. We did not like that the sink was in the room. If one of us got up early, she could not get ready without disturbing the other,Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Door County-Fish Creek"
Close enough to the shops. Room not the cleaned well. But staff did fix the problem as soon as notiifed. Parking spot was to far from room when returned from evening out all other spots were filled in area of our room. (after 10 pm, both nights). Pool was nice. No hair dryers in room- bring your own.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is the second time I stayed at the Parkwood Lodge. Quiet setting away from the traffic of Fish Creek located on Route 42 on a parklike setting. Room includes microwave and refrig. Internet available. Indoor pool, tennis courts and game room available. In room decor somewhat dated. The friendly staff were helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cherry Picking in Door County"
The reason we were in Door County was to pick cherries and have a little get a way. For this purpose the room was perfect. It is in a quiet part of town, the staff was very friendly and helpful and with the exception of the bed being too soft (personal preference), it was a comfortable room. The only other thing that was somewhat disruptive is that […] the ceiling creeked when the people upstairs walked around. Our room had a kitchenette complete with pots and pans, dishes and dish soap. The only common thing that this room lacked was a hair dryer but I prefer to use my own since I am familiar with it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No regrets-First time Door County"
3 nights @ the Parkwood; Across from the State Park, brisk walk to Fish Creek-I found the room w/small kitchenette average for cost and clean- Our A/C was very loud when it kicked on- (did wake me several times in the night) fire pit, tennis courts (rackets provided), pool table/gameroom, large lawn area for frisbee/outdoor activities, mostly friendly staff. It is "dated" (peeling paint in bathroom) and would benefit from updates- but we didn't spend a lot of time here. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed this past weekend at this property again for our annual motorcycle trip to Door County. The staff was ready for us and seemed glad to have us back again. This is an older lodge type hotel, but we noticed that a number of rooms had been remodeled since our visit last year. Our room was clean and equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave. The pool area and adjoining deck was also nice and clean. We hope to be back again next year.
"Great potential but barely adequate."

This is a lovely property in a great location that would very much benefit from renovation and updating of rooms. Management needs to be aware of some serious housekeeping issues. Having the sink with paper towels in the room next to the bed instead of in the bathroom was really awkward.
"Dated Property but More than Adequate for a Great Stay."

A wonderfully located basic roadside lodge that affords you close access to Fish Creek, Ephraim and Sister Bay. The beds were very comfortable with a lovely kitchenette for quick meals and snacks. The bathroom is small, but the bath/shower is very nice. The console holding the TV and Microwave had a big opening where the refrigerator used to be...showing wires, so that will need to be changed or updated. Overall, very adequate, though dated. It provides a comfortable stay nonetheless.

This place is definitely dated. Our room was clean and suited us for our visit. We didn't spend much time at the lodge. It is a drive to everything, but that didn't bother us. If you just want a bed to sleep in at Door County at a reasonable price, then this is the place for you.

Comfortable, quiet, clean, friendly and affordable. Will stay here again for sure!!! It's out in the country so you have to drive to get anywhere but worth it for the price. A little dated but comfortable beds and quiet made for a good nights rest. We don't go to Door County to sit in our room anyways so was perfect for us.

I reserved a kitchenette room at the parkwood. The important stuff: seemed clean, beds were o.k.,good shower, good location. The set up of the room was just not good for us. The bathroom sink is located in the main room. This really hampered our privacy. Next to the kitchen sink was an old all-in-one type unit that contained a frige, sink, and two burner cook top. It was about 2 feet away from one of the beds. We had to sit on the bed to access the frige. I cannot imagine anyone being able to prepare even a simple meal with this set up. There was just not enough room for that. I have no other complaints, the staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, and the price was very good. I just think it's misleading to call this room a kitchenette. Had I known ahead of time, I just would have booked a cheaper regular room.
"Nice location, but uncomfortable nights"
This was our first stay at this motel, and even though it is old, it is neat the way it's in a wooded area, and you look out your back window at the woods. Everything in the room was old, but it was clean, and that is more important than being new. The mattresses on the bed are extremely hard, and I like firm mattresses, but this gives it new meaning. Could have put up with that too, but the heater in the room made SO much noise that it was hard to get any sleep at all. On and off it went, all night long, so two nights with almost no sleep has confirmed our decision that this will be our first and last time to stay at this particular motel. The people at the front desk are as nice and friendly as they can possibly be, and there is coffee available, in different flavors, which is nice.
"A little outdated, but a great value."

We stayed at Parkwood Lodge during the Halloween Festival in Fish Creek, and even though it was a busy weekend, we weren't bothered by tons of people, bad parking spaces, or crowds at the pool/hot tub. It was nice and quiet. It was a little walk outside to get to the pool from our room, but we survived. We erally enjoyed our stay, and would recommend staying there. It was a great location between Fish Creek and Ephraim, centrally located in Door County. I wish we would have enjoyed the state park right across the highway, but I guess we have something to do next time we stay here :)

We enjoyed having a kitchenette, a wood-burning stove, a warm pool with a hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee was also available with a variety of flavors to choose from. Tennis courts were available. There also was playground equipment for the kids. Nice setting including flowers in a woodsy area. Convenient for visiting Peninsula State Park and Fish Creek.
