Great service. Very friendly and would definitely book again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great property, wonderful service, helpful and friendly staff. Thanks for the recommendations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Samos is absolutely beautiful and we wish we could have stayed longer. We only stayed one night in between ferries from Athens and to Turkey. The staff was helpful and friendly and helped us arrange a taxi to the ferry docks for the next day. The hotel was a little difficult to find but the views were good and the walk through the town was nice. I would […] recommend this hotel, especially at Expedia prices! The hotel is very clean. Breakfast was nice. However, this hotel is away form the center of town. If you don;t mind going up and down the hill many times, then it is ok. I didi not like the service. There is nothing of interest near this hotel at all. The rooms are clean, but the beds are extremely uncomfortable. In addition you can hear noises and […] conversations from the rooms next door.I also did not appreciate the coldness and sometines rude attitude of the staff. There are better choices in town. "Lovely family hotel + great views from roof pool"
Had a good time.. The hotel is 10 min walk uphill from the town centre, our studio had twin beds :( room had a great balcony/terrace with views over the harbour/bay.. The hotel also has a really nice small bar with a balcony. The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful. The roof swimming pool is small but really great amenity and unexpected in a […] small town hotel..it has great views in all directions and a small bar.. Excellent place to cool off in the evening and watch sunset.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice clean room but thin connecting door"
The hotel has an ideal location within walking distance to the center. Our room was clean and the staff was helpful. We were given a studio with connecting door to the next room. Through the paper thin door we could hear everything going on in the next room. That was the only negative thing in Virginia hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"experience in studio flat"
We stayed at the Virginia Hotel for 2 weeks in a studio flat with small kitchenette and balcony. Services are the same as those of the hotel: rooms are daily cleaned and the towels changed every day. The service and cleanliness are accurate. The hotel is cute and is positioned just a few minutes walk from the center of the town of Samos. The staff are […] very courteous and helpful. However, I must report that the studio is not much bigger than a hotel room so the kitchen (just an electric cooker, an American coffee maker and dishes for two people) is useful for preparing a breakfast and some coffee, but it's not good for uses more intensive. Finally, I report that the one-room flat on the ground floor is too much attached to neighboring properties and you cannot see anything. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A wonderful experience"

My wife, my daughter(16) and me were staying in this hotel for one week and we loved it! The rooms were spacious and very clean. They changed towels every day and the cleaning lady surprised us every day with some really nice ways of putting the sheets :-). The hotel is located in the old part of Samos town (Vathy) and is run by a family. They were so nice that we felt like we were a part of their family. If you are going to Samos, I really recommend this hotel. You will have a great time!

Just returned from a lovely stay in this family run hotel. We were very sad to leave. We felt at home immediately on arrival - we had a lovely room from which we could see the port of Samos and watch fabulous sunsets in the evening. Room and bathroom spacious - just had to remember the 3 steps down in the middle of the night! If required, you could have home cooked meals in the evening which were delicious and, as walkers, we found that a welcome treat if we had had a long day and did not want to go out in the evening. Plenty of walks all around and the main station under 10 mins away. Very interesting museum to visit. Staff were delightful and v helpful. Small pool on the 3rd floor really just to cool off but that had even better views over Samos (Vathy) and sun loungers were supplied. Overall a lovely experience.

I have been traveling in Greece for 10 days, I ve stayed in several places but Virginia Hotel experience was simply unforgettable. This cute hotel run by a cute family. Everybody is helpful and their sincere smiling face is hard to forget. Fotini speaks like 5 languages fluently, it s obvious that she loves her job , and she is trying to do her best for her guests. I was shocked when I heard her speaking Turkish. She is very fluent and knows expressions and idioms. Her sister is also very helpful and energetic. Teacher Georghia is the greatest teacher I met. If you ask her one simple question, she will give you whole information, and she will give you best tips. The hotel is very clean, rooms are well equiped , stuff is simply perfect. Highly recommended

"Beautiful little hotel in Samos Town"

This was a splurge for us but Hotel Virginia is a lovely, family-run hotel with very nice rooms, a beautiful lobby and breakfast room, very good breakfasts and views of the harbour from our very own balcony. As a family of 4 on a 3-month tour of Europe we try to get family rooms to save money and don't usually stay in the kind of hotels that have a pool on the roof, though our children were very thrilled with this bonus (even if in early April the water was almost too cold even for them!) We had this hotel arranged for us by our pension owner at our previous stop and thought we'd be paying the family room rate for our accommodations but ended up paying for 2 rooms at that same rate, so rather hit us in the wallet - but perhaps it's a testament to the loveliness of the hotel and the very nice owners that we didn't feel completely resentful when we found out the cost was double what we'd expected! If you aren't a budget traveller and want a lovely small family-run hotel in Samos town, I can fully recommend the Hotel Virginia.

The Virginia was our base for a walking holiday. It is situated in the lower part of the old town of Vathi, which is a 10-15 minute uphill walk from Samos Town. It is a family run hotel, and everyone connected with it was welcoming and helpful and eager to please. Our room had a small balcony and overlooked the street, but some higher rooms faced the sea and would, presumably, have been quieter. The room was clean and comfortable, but rather cramped, and it was difficult to access the wardrobe, which was located near the door. The shower worked well and towels were changed daily. Air conditioning was available at 5 euro per day. There was no room safe, but a safety deposit box near reception could be rented for 15 euro per week. I thought this was rather expensive. There was a small rooftop pool and a few loungers, and a bar terrace which looked out towards the port. All in all we enjoyed our stay here, but breakfast was disappointing. We got a bit tired of yoghurt and home made jam. Bread was not the freshest, and although croissant appeared from time to time, you had to be quick to get one ; and despite eating early, we only found fresh fruit on one occasion. We bought fruit and pastries from the nearby shops.
"Good value for money, personal atmosphere"

Room spacious enough for cases and hanging up clothes. Bed really comfortable, but heat made deep sleep difficult for me as aircons are generally too noisy so preferred to sleep with window and shutters open. Bathroom with shower reasonable size. Staff very friendly and helpful. Public areas very clean and home-like atmosphere with nice plants around a terrace. Rooftop pool with sunbeds on small terrace with view over Samos rooftops and harbour in distance was esp. nice early evenings.
"The place to choose :)"

We returned from our holiday a week ago and stayed at Virginia hotel in Samos. First of all, we don't have anything negative to say about the hotel. Room was really nice, tidy and they were cleaned daily. Hotel is in good location in Vathi, only a few minutes walk to the seafront. Hotel's breakfast was really good including lovely greek youghurt, delicious coffee and croissants etc. From the pool you can see amazing sunsets. The nicest thing in the hotel was the staff! They were so so friendly and helpful. They did everything to answer our questions and we also got the best restaurant recommendations from them. So don't hesitate to ask help from the staff! It really was a pleasure to stay there. One of the best hotels we've ever been to :) C&M
"Favorite hotel. Period."
An absolute pleasure to stay here. Inexpensive, clean, beautiful view with rooftop swimming pool. A lovely family owned hotel where they treat you like family. We arrived late and hadn't eaten all day but were surprised to find that they had homemade fresh food made by Grandma! It was amazing. The staff was outstanding as well! Highly recommended
