"Whatg a dump!"
The hotel is old and run down badly. I booked a non-smoiking room and the door was so marked, but the room reaked of smoke. There was a stubbed out cig butt on the TV stand and a beer bottle top beside the butt. One of the bedside lamps had a low voltage purple bulb and there were electgrical wires in the cupboards. The bed was hard. The room could […] use a good cleaning. The only convenience item in tghe room was one small bar of soap, no cups, glasses, or anything to drink from. No coffee maker, no microwave, nothing. The cleaning crew was out on the rail smoking and tghe air units was sucking the smoke into the rooms. "You Get What You Pay For"
On the positive side, the room has a full kitchen if you cook on vacation. However, you have to bring all of your own gear. The room was mostly clean, except for some corners that obviously hadn't been cleaned. I found soiled towels in dresser drawers. More problems -- two tiny bars of soap which barely last one shower. One set of towels that were the […] size of hand towels. Frayed sheets. No shampoo. No drinking cups. No coffee maker. No continental breakfast. And on top of it all, someone called me at 1am offering "company". But, the room was inexpensive, and very close to the freeway. So, you get what you pay for. Awful hotel, avoid at all cost. Homeless men lurking in the parking lot. Front desk is in a utility room and clerks are rude and intimidating. "Going Downhill"
This was a bad experience compared to my stay last year, when I gave this a great review. My room this year so reeked of smoke that my computer bag and business documents smelled for days. The small parking lot had broken glass everywhere that went unremoved for three days. No coffee or continental breakfast appeared on several mornings. Another night a women banged on my door looking for an empty room. "Very Surprised!"
Very comfortable room that was surprisingly quiet even though it is right beside the freeway. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and clean. All rooms are kitchenettes with one queen size bed. Kitchen has stove, refrigerator, sink and cabinets (no amenities such as dishes, glasses, cookware, or utensils though). "Knights Inn - Surprisingly Great!"
To be honest, I wasn't really looking for a luxury inn. My boyfriend and I were just in town for Thanksgiving and just needed a place to sleep and shower. I had read the previous reviews stating that the rooms had kitchenettes so I was expecting those. When we rolled up to the inn, the area didn't look like the best area, so I wasn't really expecting […] much. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and security that the inn provided. The family that runs the inn were SO warm and inviting and made sure we had everything we needed. The room is also surprisingly spacious. I was expecting it to be smaller with the added kitchenette. The inn is also situated right on the 17, which will get you anywhere you need to go. There is a Shell gas station right around the corner, and multiple markets to get food from. Just a few things to note, so that you're prepared: 1) No microwave included in the kitchenette, so make sure to get only things for a stove or oven if it needs to be cooked (and you'll need your own pots/pans). 2) The tub is a little slippery so be careful! 3) There is no maid service during your stay, but you can ask in the office for replacement towels, pillows and sheets. This small, family run hotel was a great value for its convenient location. Carpets, paint and tile all seemed new, and the bed was comfortable. The couple running the place are very friendly. "nice for the price"
I had a reservation for two nights at this hotel because I was in phoenix for a wedding. For me the location couldn't have been better because I had just had to jump on the 17 to get to the location of the wedding. My only complaint is the carpets need to be cleaned as do the floor and fridge in the kitchen area of the room.
