It seems that it was a very nice hotel in the past, but now it may require some maintenance. However, it's clean and good for the price you pay. The best point is the location. It's just a few blocks (walking distance) from the beach, and you can find nice restaurants and coffee shops in the area.
Location.
Conveniently connected to the airport in the heart of Muscat, Samara Hotel is close to Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. Additional regional attractions include Muttrah Souq and Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace.
Hotel Features.
Dining options at the hotel include a restaurant. Complimentary wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is available in public areas and an Internet point is located on site. There is a 24-hour business center on site. The staff can arrange tour/ticket assistance, tour assistance, and currency exchange. Additional amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and coffee in the lobby.
Guestrooms.
Rooms have city views. The 80 air-conditioned guestrooms at Samara Hotel include fireplaces and washers/dryers. Beds have memory foam mattresses and premium bedding. "Seemed pricey, few towels, only one set of remotes"
We found it extremely hard to find the hotel but then again, it was our first trip to Muscat. The hotel's map is clear and easy to follow and the hotel is located near the sights and a main roadway. The staff were friendly and provided us with a map as well as timings of some of the local monuments. I found the support staff (i.e. maintenance and housecleaning) […] to be very friendly, Re our room, we had a suite with not so great views; we were hopeful that we'd have a view of the stunning mosque across the street. It seemed that there just weren't enough towels for a family of four--and the shampoo/conditioner seemed to be just barely enough. Anyhow, they were of good quality as my daughter's hair came out silky and smooth. I'm not sure if I would recommend it to others as although it was satisfactory for one night, I still feel I could have gotten more for less. Read more

"Samara Hotel - good value for money"
The hotel is a decent choice for the price. However, breakfast was not included even though the booking details did mention it. The rooms are clean and room service is good and fairly inexpensive. The location is not central if you want to visit the main business district or the souqs (traditional market). The fact that taxis are not metered in Muscat […] and you need to bargain, going back and forth can become expensive. Read more
"I did'nt satisfy my reservation"
I made a reservation for four adults but room which resreved was only one double bed room. So I was nonplussed with this situation. I recommend to Hotels.com to review ans show us how many guests to stay in the room. Anyway I feel like good condition to sleep.
"スーパー、ツアー会社から近くて便利"
徒歩圏内に、ツアー会社、ミニマート、カフェ、ケバブその他レストラン、文房具屋、大型スーパー等があって、便利でした。ただ、行っておかないとホテルの掃除サービスが入らなかったです。3人で宿泊しましたが、エクストラベットを入れる余裕がなく、一人は床にマットレスをひいて寝ました。部屋は清潔で快適ですが、狭かったです。明るいし、従業員のサービスもまぁまぁで、全体的には良かったです。
"Samara Hotel"
値段を考えれば、よいホテルだと思います。 周りには安めのレストランやスーパーなどもあり便利です。 マトラやルイからは離れていますが、タクシーをすぐに拾う事ができるので移動に手間はかかりませんでした。
