to call this room tiny would be a great compliment. What hotels.com called a standard queen was called a cozy queen by the hotel. The only way it could be called standard was in comparison to a standard poodle. the room was about 7 by 10. the bed was in a corner partially overhung by the AC unit. to get out you had to crawl over your partner. My wife and I stayed here to keep costs down and to be in Brooklyn, rather than Manhattan. We accomplished both. The hotel is in a great location. The block around it is a bit run-down, but just one block away is the vibrant shopping/bar neighborhood of 5th Ave (Brooklyn version.) We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service […] at the local diner serving the complimentary breakfast to hotel guests. The only negatives were in the room itself. We stayed in a room with a queen bed, designated a "small" room. That does not begin to describe it. The room was barely bigger than the bed (seriously.) There was NO SPACE on 3 sides of the bed, perhaps 18 inches on the fourth. The door into the room would only open 40 degrees because it hit the bed. Two people CAN NOT co-exist in this room unless they are in bed or one is in the bathroom. The shower was the other issue. The lowest water pressure I have EVER experienced in any bath in the US. Calling it a trickle is being generous. With all this, I would recommend the hotel to people who just need a place to sleep and shower, but not if you are looking for comfort, and the "small" room or rooms should NEVER be occupied by more than one guest. We requested a king bed on an upper floor. We received 2 beds pushed together on the second floor. The comforter on the bed appears to be the proper size for a full size bed – not a queen or king bed. It did not fit my bed. I complained to housekeeping and to the front desk, asking them to bring the proper size comforter for my bed. No one ever came, […] and no appropriate bedding was ever supplied. You can see from the photos that the bed is too small for the headboard. i would estimate that the bed is about 8 inches narrower than a standard king bed. I also requested several times that the hotel honor my request to move to an upper floor. I was told that the hotel was sold out, and no upper floor rooms were available. I was assured that some rooms would become available overnight, and that I would be moved to an upper floor at that time. My Union Hotel room was so small that it was difficult to walk around it. No amenities are provided - no bucket for ice, no glasses, no lotion, no toothbrush, no refrigerator, etc. As a result of being on a low floor, I was awakened early in the morning by workers working on the street. I couldn't sleep the first night because i could hear the snoring of a person in the room adjacent to mine. The showers are tiny. You hardly have room to turn around. Small, serviceable hotel in a transitional Brooklyn neighborhood. Pros: The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and it's an easy walk from the R train. My family owns a house on Degraw Street, so when all the apartments are rented and we need to check on the place we stay at the Union right down the block. The outside is nondescript with very limited signage so it can be hard to find. The rooms are VERY basic. The only light comes from the overhead. The room was only big enough for the bed. You could feel the springs of the bed which was really uncomfortable and to top it off the hotel is right in front of some warehouse and there were delivery trucks constantly going up and down the road and banging on the door to the warehouse early in the morning. If you are only concerned about price, then this hotel is a good value. The decor is modern and attractive, however the room was extremely small, basically a bed and little more. The shower is tiny with very little water pressure. The bed was not very comfortable, but tolerable. There is no lobby to speak of, only a small registration desk, very European […] in style. Hotel is good related to the price. Location is good, near to subway. There were very noisy guests who were yelling and throwing things in the middle of the night, but the hotel administration dealt with it. Suggest to write a sign to keeping quiet and not disturbing the quests and also telling it to the guests at the check-in process.

Aufgrund mancher Bewertungen kam ich mit etwas Bauchschmerzen in Brookyn an. Nach einem Reibungslosen und freundlichen Check-In ging's in den dritten Stock in mein Zimmer. Das Zimmer ist natürlich recht klein , aber es war sehr sauber, es roch frisch und das Bett war Super gemütlich ! Auch das Badezimmer blitzte und war recht groß ! Das Hotel ist […] noch sehr neu, daher sind die Zimmer im Tadellosen Zustand und nicht abgewohnt! Ich kann einige der negativen Bewertungen hier absolut nicht nachvollziehen , an dem Hotel gab es nichts auszusetzen , für den sehr günstigen Preis findet man in New York und Umgebung nur schwer was besseres. Ich werde auf jedenfall bei meinem nächsten New York Besuch wieder in das Hotel gehen! Das einzige was negativ war ist das die Zimmer sehr hellhörig sind. Das ist aber auch das einzige was ich an dem Hotel auszusetzen habe. Das Frühstück im Station Café ( ca 2-3 minuten zu fuss ) lässt keine Wünsche offen , man kann wählen zwischen Pancakes und Eiern mit Bratkartoffeln und Toast ! Dazu gibt es Kaffee und O-Saft ! Direkt neben dem Café befindet sich der Eingang zur Ubahn ( Union Station) die einem in ca 30 Minuten ohne Umsteigen zum Times Square , Empire State Building ect bringt ! Sehr gutes Hotel, für einen Besuch in NYC. Klar, kleine Zimmer, aber zum Schlafen reicht es. Badezimmer sind sehr gross und schön. Das Hotel hat eine tolle Dachterasse mit Blick auf die Skyline von Manhattan. Das Frühstück im Station Cafe (ca 150m um's Eck) ist sehr gut! Metro und Supermärkte sind 150 m entfernt, Bars und Restaurants gibt es in Brooklyn […] in der 4th und 5th Ave...ca 200 m vom Hotel. Würden jederzeit wieder dieses Hotal buchen. Read more

We booked the smallest size of room but were still surprised when we saw just how TINY it was. The AC is placed in a stupid place, taking up space in the bed, it is not nice to sleep with your AC, and especially not when it is running. The bed takes up 80% of the room, the rest is taken up by one small closet and a nightstand, very little floor space, […] i.e. no place to even put your suitcase. The bathroom is nice and clean, almost bigger than the actual room.. Only cold water in the shower at times, and the water pressure is not great. The staff is NOT very nice, they barely say hello and a couple of them can't even bother to smile. We met four different employees during our 10 day-stay and only one of them bothered to be nice and friendly (only saw him once, though). The breakfast place is conveniently located by the subway, and they have about 5 different things to choose from. The owner of the breakfast place is really nice and welcoming, and the waitresses as well. We loved the location, near 5th and 7th street (Park Slope) with great restaurants, cafes and shops. We felt safe in the neighborhood, although we preferred to take a cab from Manhattan if we stayed out till after midnight. The subway from Union Street to Rector Street (Wall St area) took 15 minutes. To sum all this up: We enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn and because of the location and the rates, we might consider this hotel again, not because of the hotel itself though, they have some stuff they need to work on. Das Hotel erfüllt seinen Zweck und ist für einen Kurztrip absolut geeignet. Wer seine Zeit nicht nur zum schlafen im Hotel verbringt ist vielleicht falsch aber wer will seine Zeit in New York schon im Hotel verbringen. Das Frühstück gibt es in einem Kaffee gleich an der Metro Station. Ich würde es wieder buchen.

１階の入口すぐそばの部屋でした。廊下の音や話し声がけっこう聞こえます。 夜中にシャワー(バスタブなし)やドライヤー(備え付け)は憚られるかんじ。 部屋はスーツケースを広げられない広さです。ちょっと暗くて、ホント監獄みたいでした(笑) でも何やらアロマがたかれてました。 トイレはきれい。ただあの小バエはどこから入ってきてるのか…。２匹ほどやっつけたけど次の日にはいました。 個人的には特に難はなかったです。お値段相応です。 スタッフも優しかったです。

Klein maar fijn zou ik het noemen. Het Hotel ligt in een goede buurt in Brooklyn, de mensen zijn daar vriendelijk en 1 straat ten noorden van het Hotel is een zeer leuke winkel straat met goede restaurants. Het Hotel zelf is schoon en goed onderhouden. De kamers zijn zeer klein, maar als je in New York bent wil je ook eigenlijk niet in je kamer zitten. […] De bedden zijn wel ok de matrassen zijn wat aan de zachte kant. Het toilet en de douche zijn netjes en ruim zat. Duurde soms wat lang voor de douche warm was maar hij werd altijd warm. Het personeel is wat stug (Russisch) maar wel aanspreekbaar en zal altijd helpen als je er om vraagt. Al met al is mijn ervaring prettig te noemen. Read more

JFK空港からであると、地下鉄A線のHoyt Schermerhorn駅から歩いて2kmほどあります。しかし、ホテルからマンハッタン島まではunion st駅かatlantic av駅から乗り換えなしで行けますし、駅も1km以内で近いです。ホテル周辺にはデリが何箇所かあり、そこまで不便じゃないです。ホテル自体は、一見わかりにくいです。部屋はベッドが8割を占めていて、TVやクローゼットがあります。まぁ狭いですが問題ないかと。シャワールームも清潔ですし、何よりインターネットは無料無線LANが各部屋にあり、速度がとても早かった。受付の人も、二十代の女性店員さんでした。
