We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely courteous and the room was comfortable and well-stocked with the necessities. It was very conveniently located, and the free parking and free breakfast were huge plusses!

We had such a great time here. The hotel is beautiful, staff are very friendly, room is extremely comfortable, and the pool and restaurant facilities are superb. The only issue we had with this hotel was getting around by public transport as the buses nearby were extremely irregular. In spite of this I would still highly recommend this hotel!

3rd world room!! Carpets badly stained throughout, sink area is 3.5' wide, no closet, bed squeaks from smallest movement, TV from Goodwill? Noisy! freeway, neighbor coughing through wall. On prior visits to the area, I've stayed at The Sportsman's Lodge and The Holiday Inn, both located within a mile or so of this location. I also used to live about a block away from this Best Western, so I have a pretty good idea of what the area is and what the nearby hotels are. I was very disappointed in this hotel for a few reasons: 1. It's directly […] between Riverside Dr. and the Ventura Freeway, so there isn't a quiet room in the building. 2. The pool is directly on Riverside, so there's no sense of relaxing by the pool. 3. The free breakfast offered sounded like a great idea because of how good I know the Mikado restaurant is, but it was the lamest breakfast buffet I've ever had: the waffles were Eggo, the fruit came from a can, the cereal was bulk store-brand, and everything about it all felt cheap. 4. There was a bug in my bed (not an infestation, but still...) 5. To my understanding, a key difference between a hotel and a motel is that a hotel has indoor hallways that lead to your room, and a motel has door rooms on the outside of the building. By that definition, this was a motel, not a hotel, and I wanted to stay at a hotel. Long story short, of the three places I've stayed in the area, I would go back to the other two any time. The price of this Best Western was a few dollars less per night, but I would rather have spent the few extra bucks and stayed some place nicer. Read more

The office printer was down at the time which required a trip to Fed-Ex to get a hard copy of our tickets, but that was not a big deal and everything else was fine. The location is great. Stayed two nights here at the Best Western. It's hidden because it's the same building as the sushi place, not sure who is s who to tell you the truth. It's located right. Ext to the highway and that's thr side of the hotel that we were put in but we did t hear much of the traffic and these rooms face the outside of the building. It was short but sweet. We came down to hear a friend sing at Vitello's which was a short 1-1/2 miles away from the hotel. Good location for Universal and 405, between a noisy highway and a somewhat noisy (at night) stretch of street. Pleasant courtyard and excellent Japanese restaurant. Nice staff, and nice service. The rooms' carpet needs shampooing... (we had two rooms).

It was fine. Room was "roomy" and was on pleasant courtyard. Property backside abutts 134 so was glad to be in courtyard rather than on motel's backside. First night traffic was slightly noticable, but after that hardly heard it. Convienent location, OK price.

I thought the hotel was wery nice for the price and in a fairly quiet neighborhood. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not great. Again, it was nice to have a free breakfast so I won't complain too much there. The free high speed wi-fi was really a great + with no log in or ad's to watch in order to get it. Overall the hotel was good.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear people outside as well as on the floor above. The front desk twice failed to deliver a wake up call. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean. First of all, you will NOT find this hotel in "North Hollywood" as told by this site. Your GPS will find it under "Valley" something, but it is still very close to Universal Studios. When I arrived to my assigned room, the room was a mess as it hadn't been done. I had requested 2 queen beds since I had 3 kids with me. When I went to talk to receptionist, […] he told me that there were no rooms left. That the best he could do was get me 2 rooms next to each other (without being connected) with a queen bed each. With kids, this sure wasn't gonna work out. Apparently they didn't have the key to the roll abed so they couldn't offer me those. I then requested a room with a King bed and would figure out a way for us four to sleep on it (better than having 2 different rooms). Finally, they realized that since I was only going to be there a night, they would give me the suite. Of course the suite was perfect, but what would of happened to me and my kids if the suite wasn't available? It would of been a nightmare. *Neighborhood was safe. *Who ever says that the freeway is a problem, they must be sleeping outside of their room and not inside.
