"Cheap, good location, great pool/bar -needs update"
good price. good location near ladies beach. great pool and bar. large rooms. but the rooms, lobby can use some serious updates. our room has a strong order of sewage that was a real turn-off. some of the windows also didn't lock very well and there wasn't a security lock box option either.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value for money hotel"
Fairly basic hotel but good value for money, we were given air con and use of fridge free, usual cost about 10euros per day. Room very clean, beautiful sea view. Free wi-fi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Hôtel we liked the less during our stay in Sam"
we were disappointed by this hotel ; quality and price were not good , the staff had only a commercial attitude. When we arrived, the fridge was not working without an adaptor, the room was out of date, with a telephone wire badly plugged in the wall behind my pillow. Breakfast was a minimum, the fruit "juice" was mostly watery.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great value for money"
Kokkari Beach Hotel is a lovely place located in the best part of Kokkari beach. Rooms are very convenient, beds could have been better. It's a very clean hotel. It's 10 meters to the most amazing turqoise blue sea. The breakfast could have a little more variety. Overall, it's a cosy, convenient beautiful hotel in Samos.
"Near the beach"
08/19/14 gostal Gothenburg, Sweden
Simple but clean hotel just a few meters from the beach. But you have to cross the street to get there. Some good restaurants in the near. Very poor breakfast, only one bread and maragine! No view from the rooms. If you just want to stay for a couple of nights it is okey.
"Clean but worst breakfast"
09/11/13 Tomas_Pr Prague, Czech Republic
Hotel is good, very clean, with nice staff and good swimming pool and in beautiful location - ideal for night walking through the whole Kokkari and enjoying "quiet nightlife" - i. e. not discos but sitting with the drinks in some reastaurant on the coast :-) Aircondition for 6 euro/day and fridge for 4 euro/day. We stayed in the first floor so no aircondition was needed however in upper floors it was necessary. A bit of mosquitos but not tragedy. But breakfasts are worst - you will get each day exactly the same, no change. Tea, coffee, cheese, "ham", hard boiled egg, jam, honey, youghourt, tomatoes and a cake (still the same). After 11 days you are looking forward back to home for some small change :-(
"Clean but essential"

I had to go to Agios Konstantinos for work. A friend of mine suggested me to stay in Kokkari. This hotel is clean and has a very good position, but it is very essential. Therefore, depending on what you are looking for, it may be a good choice or not. Here is a list of what I liked about the hotel: - Very clean - Directly on the beautiful beach of Kokkari (note that it is made by stones and not by sand) and close to nice restaurants on the beach - Courteous staff - Comfortable bed - Big bedroom - Free Internet access And here is what I have not liked: - Some lights and electrical outlets not working or bad positioned (e.g., the socket of the bathroom is just outside the bathroom) - I have not been given the remote for air conditioning. Without air conditioning the room becomes too warm during the night. - No way to avoid the light enter into the room in the early morning (i.e., 5:00AM) - Not comfortable pillows - Empty mini-bar - No soap in the bathroom I suggest this place only if you are looking for a cheap place close to a beautiful beach.
"Dated decor but still a great place to stay"

Stayed at the Kokkari Beach for a couple of nights during an independent trip to Samos and really enjoyed our stay. Warm welcome from the staff on Reception who were able to offer us a corner sea view room on the 3rd floor complete with breakfast at a very good rate. Yes the decor is dated, bedroom furniture and bathroom arrangement typically Greek but the room was clean and comfortable with very little road noise. Being able to take continental breakfast on a tray to tables around the lovely pool area at the back of the hotel was a great way to start each sunny day. The hotel also runs a more stylish cafe bar on the beach side of the road where delicious salads and drinks were served with a smile. In fact the whole street where the hotel is located had such a great selection of bars, tavernas and shops it was a pleasure to be there. Some may find the hotel doesn't live up to the description in the Thomsons Brochure but for a short break it was good enough for us.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Has a lovely pool and great breakfast. Very reasonable accommodation and value for money. Prob need air con from July onwards - oh and a fridge :-) definately recommend this hotel.
"Good deal for $75, but keep expectations kind of low."

Pros --Location-across from beach, easy walk to everything but not in busy area --Staff very friendly/helpful --Breakfast-nice enough --Let us check out at 1PM no extra charge Cons: --Air-conditioning, safe and fridge cost extra (10 Euros if want all) --wifi is free, but not available in our room. --had dispensers for shower gel/shampoo, but not filled so only provided bar soap.
"Good base to explore Kokkari"
06/26/12 SIan H Island of Anglesey, United Kingdom
Just returned from a weeks holiday at Kokkari beach Samos. The hotel is ideally placed for the beautiful beach on which we spent most of our holiday. The constant sea breeze makes Kokkari's 34 degrees c feel much cooler which was ideal for us. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was more than adequate with a variety of freshly baked breads, yoghurt, cold meats, juices and cereal. Air conditioning was at a charge of 6 euros per day or you could hire fridge, air con & safe for 10 euros per day. we hired air con only which was definitely needed. The hotel is fine for its stars - the dining room was full of paraphernalia from the 70s 80s which could be made much more presentable if it was de cluttered otherwise the hotel is an excellent base for exploring beautiful Kokkari. Eat at Piccolo Porto restaurant in the harbour for an exceptionally good Italian meal of fresh home made pasta &pizza!
"Great Vacation Spot"

Visited with my wife and 2 year old son on a quick beach getaway package trip. This place is family run and not a chain which gave us a more personal feel then staying at a 'big' hotel. They have rooms on both sides of a road at the end of a strip of taverns, shops, rentals, etc. One side is on the beach the other is near their pool, restaurant and bar. They also have a mini- tavarna on the beach and their beach lounge chairs are FREE for hotel guests - abnormal in Greece! We enjoyed this place so much that I plan to take my parents there at the end of the summer. Service: We were very happy with it. We have traveled the world and are not usually 5-star type of people, nor package tourists. Some of the other people arriving were complaining from the start about A/C fees, etc. but as the hotel makes minimal money from the package companies (our package company charged us half price for our son and the hotel receives none of that money as kids under six are free for them) they try and make a EURO where they can for services not covered by the package. Nothing overboard but I can see where this would bother people, but if you book a cheap holiday package dont expect to have 5-star services. Anyway, complaining as soon as you arrive to people that live and work there is a good way to have a cold shoulder or two. We did not complain and merely asked nicely about things we were concerned with and we treated as family. Value: more than worth the cost of the package trip. if you want a relaxing beach vacation within walking distance to nature, a ruined church in the hills and walking distance to the old town, harbor and dozens of bars and tavarnas this place is great. Sleep quality: the first night we got pounded by mosquitoes. the receptionist told us to buy a 5 EURO plug-in mosquito repeller from the local shop and problem solved even with the windows open all day and night. otherwise a pretty quiet place. Cleanliness: no issues here at all. Location: right at the edge of the 'strip' next to an empty beach area and the beginning of rolling nature and olive grooves. there is also a sport rec center about 500m further away from the strip for volleyball, canoe, kite-surfing and windsurfing rentals. The north side of the island is quite windy and this area is a destination for kite and wind surfers from all over the world. Rooms: the rooms near the pool are bigger and newer. the rooms on the beach are smaller and older. Restaurant: adequate but not their strong point. breakfast is typical an worthwhile. the beach tavarna has decent snack food, better cocktails and as they are family run they have home-made deserts daily (hard to resist). There are lots of great seafood places within walking distance and a huge concentration near the harbor. Fitness center: I dont think they had one, but they have a small playground for kids. There is a great outdoor fitness center and rentals mentioned above that is worth checking out if you want more than laying around. Recommendations: 1. Rent a motorbike or Quad and go into the mountains and visit the town: Manolates. One of the best places I have ever been to in Greece. Google it and see why. 2. There is a sand beach on the south side of the island. Its crowded but worth visiting. You can see Turkish islands right off the cost there as well. 3. Pythagoreio in the south is also worth visiting. If you didnt like geometry you wont like the patron, however.
"Basic but friendly, family run hotel"
03/12/12 emma J Ipswich, United Kingdom
A friendly, clean, good value family run hotel in Kokkari. Great location. We didn't use the pool as the beach was directly outside. My only complaint is that it was extremely hot & humid even in May.
10/06/11 lourichie Sydney, Australia
Felt depressed walking into the place! Booked by mistake, did not stay. No service and extra charges for basics. Punching above its weight. A large facility needs to be brought into the 21st century and modernised, that mirror in foyer is awful!
